Crazy Static from UX1, even worse with Mic input
Triryche replied to shawnspaz16's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Just for clarification, if you run the newest Monkey you have green ticks for Drivers, USB Firmware and PF2? If this a red faced Toneport or black faced POD Studio? Have you tried a new USB cable as well as different USB ports? Also, the unit with the static is a UX1, not a UX2? The reason I ask is the UX1 does not have phantom power. I would also try uninstalling all drivers and starting from scratch. Also try another computer using the newest Monkey that you can download from the site. If you get the same issue pretty safe bet your unit is hosed. -
Just for clarification, if you run the newest Monkey you have green ticks for everything? Do you have your speakers and/or headphones connected directly to the UX?

Can I record with only the UX1 dry signal?
Triryche replied to johnnyw's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Yes. Use the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel to configure. -

Then you need to resolve why the other computer is not connecting. Can the problem PC access the internet at all? -

What OS does it not work on? Have you tried running the newest Monkey to make sure you have current drivers? -
Did you try a new instrument cable? Based on you description, sounds like it could be a bad cable or guitar wiring. Do you have another amp to try?

UX1 Installing on a new Computer
Triryche replied to bobleeroth's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Are you using the newest version of Monkey that you can download from the website? -
You can have it be stereo or mono, it depends on how your set your patches' signal chain and how you are monitoring.
-
Unfortunately they are not compatible. The signal path structures are a bit different and not all models from PF/XT are in the AMPLIFi. You will have to recreated best from scratch and find the best alternate model when one is not available. I cool feature on the AMPLIFi is you can have up to 3 one effects of the same type, which could not be done on the xt.

POD Studio UX2 - Multiple devices in Windows?
Triryche replied to rmoore's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
If you have it working with a Toneport, you should be fine, the hardware is essentially the same. -
POD Studio UX2 - Multiple devices in Windows?
Triryche replied to rmoore's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
You might have USB conflicts, but you can try. PAD is a passive attenuator. Usually you don't need to use that input unless your signal is too hot coming in. This can happen with really hot pickups, usually active, or if you have a stomp in front of the UX that boosts the signal. Just out of curiosity, why is it critical to capture the audio in real-time? -
That's weird, glad you got it sorted though!

POD Studio UX2 - Multiple devices in Windows?
Triryche replied to rmoore's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
If you are using the Roland via USB into your DAW, there will be no using the UX. With ASIO, you can only have one audio device. What I'm not certain of is if you can run the UX, but not as the ASIO device in your DAW, and run the UX analog outs to the Roland. In terms of sound quality, the UX and UX2 are the same, but the UX2 has Phantom Power and a PAD input. -
I would use the Monkey and confirm you have the latest drivers and firmware.

Test your ears! PodXT or AdrenaLinn? New April 23rd! ANSWERED!
Triryche replied to aaron__aardvark's topic in Line 6 Lounge
My guess, the "R2D2" section is the AdrenaLinn. What are you using for the bass like synths? -
Also, PA speakers are more rugged for transporting/gigging. There also have a wider field of sound they throw whereas near field studio monitors have a small sweet spot for monitoring. If you can stretch the budget a bit more I would go for 8" monitors or PA speakers.

Could be the adapter if it is a TS and not TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) . Here's a pic that shows the difference.

Is the goal an isolated studio track?

Studio UX2 How to turn it off
Triryche replied to Audioinjected's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Definitely do not unplug it if your DAW is open. I leave mine plugged in and put my computer to sleep when I'm done. -
If it is used, likely previous owner did not unregister it. Give Line6 a call or open a support ticket.

That was always a bit of a mystery to me.

POD Studio UX2 - Multiple devices in Windows?
Triryche replied to rmoore's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Not sure if it will work the way your are describing, when using the UX as an ASIO device your DAW will likely take precedence, although I haven't tried. If it doesn't work, taking audio tracks from your DAW and porting them over to another software after the fact should be trivial.
