  1. You would have to purchase the Hardware Independent license (not the i-Lok version). The license that comes with the UX is tied to it.
  2. If it is Line level out, I would try the Line In on the back.
  3. Hopefully you can try on a PC soon. If it works on a PC then at least you know it's not hardware related. Sorry if I missed it mentioned early, but have you tried a new USB cable?
  4. And just for clarification, you are plugging your headphones directly in the uX?
  5. FWIW, I had a very, very similar noise with my PODxt years ago, and it was my wireless router. That sux you got a lemon.
  6. Have you downloaded the newest version of Monkey directly form the website? Support>>Downloads
  7. No problem. FWIW, unless I fire up a different interface, I just leave POD Farm open with my blank piano patch for convenience.
  8. That's a bit different. For Window 7 (should be similar in other versions) go to the Recording devices double or right-click the UX2 icon to get to the properties then on the Listen tab check the box Listen to this device. Unfortunately you will likely have too much latency to be usable. So for this setup you are better off launching POD Farm. I do this for my keys too. I have a blank dual tone patch with Tone A as Line1 panned hard left and Tone B as Line2 hard right. It works great, the only slightly annoying thing is every time I launch POD Farm Tone B resorts back to "same as Tone A" and I have to change it to Line2.
  9. As you guessed, you would need the amp. Are you recording, jamming or both?
  10. Yes, the UX should run as a soundcard without GB or PF running. How are you monitoring the UX?
  11. You could put the UX in the Spider's fx loop depending on what you are trying to accomplish. Not sure what workflow you are going for, but the UX into a Spider IV may not be an optimal setup, but it really depend on what you are try to do.
  12. My apologies for attempting to help. Based on your original post, and not knowing your prior gear experience, or hearing the sound, the description sounded like it may have been normal. Which is why I italicized may in my first reply, because without hearing it, it is just speculation. Then after hearing the clips you posted and your recipe for making the noise go away by switching back and forth I stated that it did sound like a hardware issue. (Perhaps a cap failing??) But I am confused, as I reread this entire thread, I am not able to find where anyone that attempted to help ever suggested that it was user error, nor can I see a reply that may be misinterpreted as such. Hope you can sort it out with the original seller, Peace Out.
  13. You can play any song from your i-Tunes library. You can save any tone you want directly to the AMPLIFI 75, 150, or FX100 hardware, FBV is only a controller. The FX100 is not meant to control an AMPLIFi 75 or 150, it's basically a pedal form of the AMPLIFi without an amp or cab. btw, the AMPLIFi 75 and 150 now have 100 presets.
  14. I do not have a FPP, I do have a PODxt, UX2, POD HD, and FX100. The example I gave regarding pedals was a comparison to non modeled gear. I won't be able to listen to it on good monitors or headphones until later tonite, but the clicking I hear in the mp3 is not a normal sound I was referring to. Could be interference from a router, computer, ect...But that fact that you can sitwch it back and forth and have it go away would suggest it is the hardware. I would try it in different rooms, circuits, or even other locations.
  15. That is bizarre! It's a hassle, but if it were me, I would try completely uninstalling all Line6 drivers and start fresh.
  16. Try downloading the Flash Mem file outside of Monkey. Then in Monkey update flash from file (instead of having Monkey do it auto aromatically). @andreyrodrguez, I think you have a different issue, make sure you have the newest version of Monkey, if that doesn't work I would start a new thread and/or contact Line6 via phone or support ticket.
  17. You can do either. Click the little Link icon to add a link (under the smiley face a little to the left). Or click the More Reply Options button (bottom right) to access the Attach Files. FWIW, if you putt a flanger or other modulation type effect in front of a real amp that is cranked, you will hear swooshing sounds (unless you have a noise gate). Or even just a guitar straight into a cranked amp, if you are not playing there is usually white noise, and or buzzing, and or (60 Hertz) humming. Any overdrive, distortions, ect.. pedals will increase these noises.
  18. I would contact support via phone or ticket. And possibly open a new thread, because the OP marked this solved, it will not get manner more views.
  19. When you are in My Tones, tap Edit (upper right). The list should populate with a minus sign on the left indicating you are in delete mode. Tap the minus sign, a red Delete button will appear, tapping it will confirm your choice. Tap the Done button to exit the delete mode.
  20. Just for clarification, if you run Monkey, you have green ticks for everything?
  21. If you have a black-faced POD Studio, you should have POD Farm 2 with out buying anything (unless it was first registered a long time ago before the official release of POD Farm 2). Make sure you have it authorized in the license manager. The Model Packs are not required to run POD Farm 2, there are packs of additional models/effects.
  22. Can you post a clip? Based on your description it may be normal, especially if you are using hi gain amp models.
  23. If the PA takes Line Level inputs and you don't have to run the cables too far, you should be ok.
