  1. First thing to say is, I have no idea what you have done there, other than it shouldn't look like that! Things look like that in Logic Pro if you switch view mode from Helix Native AU View to Editor/Controls Mode. Not sure how you initiate that "Editor" mode in the version of GarageBand 10.3.5 on my Mac - could be you have a different version. It should look like this. If it doesn't, then try a re-install and maybe consult the GarageBand manual, if you're not familiar with using plugins. You did restart your Mac after installing Native into GarageBand didn't you? Hope this helps/makes sense.
  2. Huh? Now I’m really confused. No USB? If you don’t have USB you will not be able to make backup safety copies of your presets, or use HX Edit to load IR files. It’s a real “must have” thing on a computer communicating with Line 6 HX devices. The clue is in the name Universal Serial Bus, its an industry standard. To me this doesn’t make sense.
  3. Hi, That error code is a new one on me, never seen that reported, but I have seen “failed to decrypt asset” with different code numbers. It means what it says - something is damaged or corrupted and it cannot load, possibly a preset or an IR. You don’t mention if you have had HX Native installed previously, and it worked fine. Or is this a brand new installation? Also you don’t say what DAW you are trying to open Native in, it would help to know that. I have had Native running in Logic, GarageBand, Reaper, Studio One etc, right from the first release and recently updated to the latest version without any issues. Running High Sierra on late 2015 Apple iMac 27 inch Retina 5k with 32 GB RAM. I realise that you said you have tried to re-install, but I would give it another shot and if possible download a free copy of Reaper to see if it will launch from inside there. If it does, try opening it again in your usual DAW. If Reaper is the one you are using, try GarageBand - it’s free, and might blow the bugs out. If all else fails, raise a ticket with support. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  4. Hi, I’m confused as to why you are posting to a thread that Is 3 years old, and then saying “this "Ultraflexible" invention does not let a user creatively jump from preset to preset while listening to an external sound source in order to find a suiting sound.” It does, and I use the facility of auditioning various presets, along with any backing track or whatever, on a daily basis. Not a problem, very easy to do. The thing that makes that possible is a thing called USB. Playback iTunes, YouTube, DAW audio or whatever. Ultraflexible! This is discussed in the thread above. Although, you don’t mention what it is that you would like to connect that is causing such a problem for you? Hope this helps/makes sense.
  5. Yep, that’s me. I beat you to the retirement thing though - 3 years gone now. It’s great in my studio in a little log cabin at the far end of our garden, playing with all the boys toys. Hey, you might have the real thing in the land of Davy Crockett. Good to know your Firmware is fully functional - enjoy - and enjoy the forthcoming retirement. As the usual statement goes, “I don’t know how I had time to go to work!”
  6. Hi guys, @samrichardsam You could download the version 3 Firmware "Flash Memory" to you Mac and use the Updater to perform a Local File Install - just point it at the Firmware file, click "Update" and let it get on with it. See "Choose File" button in your Updater screen shot. Otherwise - read on! @marcofiorini No need to report to Line 6, because so far, everyone that I have pointed to this information has managed to successfully perform and update to version 3 of the Firmware. This is the official Line 6 word on how to fix a failed install which was posted in the Knowledge Base section of these forums. IMPORTANT! In the unlikely event that your update fails, please follow the steps below: Unplug the USB cable from both the back of your Helix and the computer. Turn your Helix/HX device off and on. Reconnect the USB cable to your Helix/HX device and the computer. Download, install, and launch the latest version of Line 6 Updater. In a failure state, the device will not connect to HX Edit. Line 6 Updater for macOS: https://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=9831 Line 6 Updater for Windows: https://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=9832 Select your device and try updating to the latest firmware again. If the device does not show up in Line 6 Updater after these steps, try a different USB cable and/or USB port. If it still doesn't show up, try a different computer. The full update process is described here. Hope this helps/makes sense
  7. Hi Just to clarify, you say that using HX Edit with the Stomp is O.K., but crashes when using HX Edit with the HXFX. What happens if you edit/move blocks on the HXFX if it is not connected to the editor in the computer? If the hardware does the same, maybe a glitch is causing the issue, and if you re-flash the firmware in the HXFX it might clear it. Just a thought. Hope this help/makes sense.
  8. Hi, You have posted to a thread that is 2 years old, but I guess what you are asking about is updating to Firmware v.3 Official Line 6 update procedure is described here. Please take note of the section that states: IMPORTANT! In the unlikely event that your update fails, please follow the steps below Hope this helps/makes sense.
  9. Hi, Well, as you are essentially doing a "brain transplant" in the hardware, some things are going to get wiped. Globals get reset as part of the firmware update and for the couple of minutes that it takes to perform the back up and restore it's not that inconvenient for a "Fail Safe" routine. Hope this helps/makes sense
  10. Update 2 Sorry to say, I have just tested Native in Reaper v.6.16 on the Mac, and cannot get it to reproduce what you are experiencing. I would suggest that you raise a ticket with Customer Support.
  11. That’s good news, you are up and running. Yay! Now you can finally explore all those new toys that the Line 6 team added - FREE! Oh, yeah - the Line 6 Updater is actually at version 1.19 (released 3/12/20), because it is also used for updating other items in the Line 6 product range, eg: Firehawk, Powercab, Spider and Relay etc. Hope this helps/makes sense.

  14. Hi, Should be easy enough, see page 22 of the Powercab Family Pilot’s Guide. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a4107835d2fac0e63b03/application/pdf/Powercab Manual - English .pdf Hope this helps/makes sense.
  15. Hi, Just before updating to version 3.00 you should have made a back up of the presets that were in your HX Stomp, and you can choose to restore them from within HX Edit. First thing to check is that you do actually have HX Edit v.3 and not an earlier version. You can perform a factory reset on your Stomp which will update with the latest presets. These are the reset options. Hold down the combination of Foot Switches while turning on the power to your Stomp. Recommend FS1+2 and see how it goes. HX Stomp Button Combination Description All 3 Footswitches Clears all presets/IRs FS1+2 Resets presets and IRs FS 2+3 Factory restore (globals, presets, IRs Hope this helps/makes sense.

  17. Update to previous post. I loaded Native 3 both as VST 3 and then as AU plugins into my version of Reaper on the Mac which is still on v.6.10/64 rev d5f520 from May 2020. Both ran perfectly as expected - no noise whatsoever. I may try downloading the latest version tomorrow to see if that is any different.
  18. Hi, In order to narrow down the possible offending items, and you say that the same preset on you hardware Helix is fine. Try a simple check. Remove the Scarlett from the picture and connect your Helix via USB to your DAW to use as the audio interface. Select the preset, and set Studio One to record in stereo from USB 1 & 2 and set a second track to record the dry unprocessed mono guitar signal from your Helix on input USB 7. Ensure that you disable software monitoring for this. Record a quick test of some guitar into both tracks. If the stereo track is fine, you can mute it. Then add Native as a plug in to the mono track and play back the dry recording through that on the same preset. If the interference is gone then it could be an issue between your Scarlett and the DAW. If it works O.K. for re-amping you need to check for something else, possibly a routing issue inside Studio One? Here’s a video showing re-amping using Helix, but instead of sending the dry signal back into the Helix as in this example, you need to send the dry track into Helix Native and see if there is any interference.. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  19. Hi, The thread here is referring to error code 8201, and you mention code 8207, which IIRC from discussions on the Helix hardware forum, is related to a corrupt preset somewhere in the setlists. Try getting Native to reset the factory presets and then reload your backup file, to see if that clears the glitch. If not, then raise a ticket with Customer Support. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  20. Hi again, Sorry about that, but it was a long shot as I use Logic on a Mac. I have a copy of Reaper lurking on my computer that I have used previously to try and either recreate or fix issues that have come up on here. I won’t be in the studio until later today and then I will see how Reaper and Native 3 work together for me. Meanwhile, I notice that you posted on Reddit without result, but you say you raised a ticket with Customer Support. That is possibly the best thing to do as I have not encountered any similar reports of this. Also, as you mentioned that you had only recently downloaded Reaper, it may be worth having a look at this: Hope this helps/makes sense.
  21. Yay, Good news for you, but do you think that this is the same thing which is happening to the OP? Poly capo is a new thing, and the OP says the issue is in the older shifter, which should not have changed in the updated firmware.
  22. As noted by “HonestOpinion” in the post above check you HX Edit is v.3.0. IIRC, this error may also indicate a corrupted preset in your setlists. Check this thread for clues and /or solution. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  23. Hi, You don’t mention what computer and operating system you are using for the version of Reaper you downloaded. I ask because the error you mention is something that I have never encountered, but I have a nagging suspicion that it maybe that you have the 32bit version of Reaper installed and Helix Native requires the 64bit version in order to work as expected. That’s the only thing I can suggest at the moment. Hope this helps/makes sense
  24. Hi, It’s strange that you should mention a pitch shift anomaly - others have mentioned a similar thing. Check this thread, it may be helpful if everyone posts in the same place and then notes can be compared to see if this is the same thing that others have found. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  25. Hi, again, Have you tried to connect HX Edit 3.0 when not using Workbench HD at the same time. Simply try using one at a time, some things don't like to try communicating simultaneously.
