  1. Wow, that was killer!!! Incredible right hand technique as well. Although I was already happy with my pair of TS110a speakers, I'm feeling really good about them now.
  2. It wouldn't hurt to tweak it a little before putting it on CustomTone. At least make sure it's usable. I've downloaded several that wouldn't work initially due to an enabled effects loop or unusual input or output setting (ex. input set to Aux or output set to XLR). Or at least provide a detailed explanation when you do post it. There are numerous presets posted there that use IR's and most of them just tell you which IR they used. Some even include a download link for the IR if it's a free one.
  3. I run into lots of different stuff. I have a pair of Alto TS110a PA speakers, which go for about $200 each, which sound really good. I also run it into a DT25 amp using the L6 Link cable, a Peavey 6505+ using 4 cable method and a Randall RH100 (either straight into the front or in 4 cable method). All of these sound great but if I had to narrow it down to only one, I'd probably go for the PA solution. It also sounds great with headphones.
  4. Sounds like you're passing the dry guitar signal through somewhere. I'd look at mix settings on the different blocks.
  5. I'd recommend putting your request on IdeaScale, if it' not already there. Line 6 really pays attention to those suggestions.
  6. How much wattage can safely be put into the AUX input? I'm curious since my 6505 MH has a 1 watt mode.
  7. I'm interested. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
  8. I'm sure they're being honest but I also know that for a lot of people, including me, the neck is just fine and a pleasure to play. I haven't even pondered swapping it out.
  9. I understand cancelling your order if you're tired of waiting but I wasn't aware that Line 6 had stated an actual date that it would ship in the first place.
  10. NIce. I like the idea of using color coded tape for the connections.
  11. Yep, I currently own 17 guitars and the JTV69 and my EBMM Majesty are my main axes. If I had to get rid of all but 2 these would stay. If I had to get rid of all but 1 it would be a tough call between the 2.
  12. I love the pedal edit mode as well. It beats the hell out of putting a looper at the start of the chain so I can hear the changes as I make them.
  13. Actually, it's $699.99 right now as their Stupid Deal of the Day, which is a great price.
  14. Had fun playing around this weekend. Helix into Peavey 6505 MH via 4-cable method, into DT25 via L6 Link, into the front of the Randall RH100 and into the Alto TS110A speakers via XLR to handle the wet path. Plus a BeatBuddy in a stereo effects loop. Running all of this on a single patch called MOAP (mother of all patches). Great tones and really fun to put together.
  15. The two things that excite me the most about the G10 are the convenience and that it's digital. I'm a home player and I currently use a Samson SR-2, which I've owned since 1991. It goes through 9V batteries fairly quickly but works fine with rechargeable batteries so that's not really a big concern. The biggest downfall of my system is interference. Just playing in my house I have to know which areas to avoid and the best places to stand.
  16. You could try using the same footswitch that you use to change from clean to crunch to also turn off the chorus. If this doesn't help could you post a screen shot of your patch?
  17. I'm very interested in this also but I've seen several posts hinting that they're expected to ship in May.
  18. Did you set up a footswitch to engage both the Send 1 and Return 1 blocks simultaneously? The cable setup in the video is correct. Another thing you can try is to leave the cables set up like in the video and try the 4-cable preset in the TEMPLATES setlist on your Helix.
  19. Congratulations, enjoy!!!!

    Multiple guitars

Helix has been playing well with all of my electric guitars (14 of them at the moment) and both of my bass guitars. The only thing I've tweaked at all is to turn on the pad, in the global settings, for the guitars with hot or active pickups.
  21. I haven't done any retrofits but I can tell you that my EBMM Majesty piezos sound amazing, especially through that Taylor acoustic IR and into my PA. I also have a Korean JTV-69 that I really like. As for the VDI wireless solution, it would require 3 separate channels, which would be very costly. DI recently started a couple threads on here asking if people would be willing to pay $1000 for VDI wireless. From what I've read, the overwhelming response is no.
  22. ^ +1 My Alto TS110a can get really loud but, like cruisinon2 is talking about, a lot depends on how hot of a signal I'm sending the Alto in the first place.
  23. No idea on charging time but here's a photo I found through a google search:
  24. If they did decide to include these instructions it would make for a very long read. There are just so many variables and combinations, and a lot of it is subjective based on what the individual user prefers. For example, pedal order; some like certain effects before the preamp, some like them in the loop and some like them post. Plus the routing options are almost unlimited. I'm working on a patch right now that will send a dry signal to my DT25, a wet signal to a pair of Alto PA speakers, and use the 4-cable method with a 6505 MH.
