The ears have it... And all of them are different it seems ;) I think the TS sounds ok too but Im not comparing it watch4, so thanks for that info...

Off the cuff, I would suspect that if the other strings are working then its a variax cable issue and not a Helix problem.
-
I use my JTV-69 often. Its one of my go-to's when Im in a hurry for quick change ups.

This was my studio before Helix....

Yours is not working? Bug... Mine still does, I use it for harmony parts along with a Marilyn grunt or two...

We all waited (well most of us) a bit. I think it was 2 months or so for me...

No need to worry if Line 6 really doesn't know when the next release is. Or when the next earth quake, or meteor strike, train derailment and locust attack, etc etc is. Why? Because there is nothing you or I can do to change this either way. And because It just runs up your doctor bill and you'd go around acting like Marilyn Manson... And I know you don't want that.... :P

I think that someone is allergic to tar...

My Bluetooth from my iPad to the Firehawk 1500 works well so far, and without issues. As always YMMV, but with the technology today, we should be there for excellent connections by now. If however you have heavy noise issues like shorting fluorescent ballasts overhead, or noise from crappy Transformers in the alley, or a host of other interference that could degrade the BT connection like weak batteries, tornados, or a flood, or locusts, well then all bets are off.

Just youtube Helix on a decent sound system. You will notice the difference.

That seems to be a hard decision in general for the HD crowd to make given the hours tweaking and using, but once they do (I was an HD user at one point too) they are very satisfied. To me, after some "minor" tweaks Helix tones 99% of the time are "to die for"...

I've used my Helix tuner on many of my guitars and It's not broken here. I've tuned up guitars for 45 + years and know when my guitar is out of tune. So I just don't understand unless tuners are broken on certain Helix units while others (like mine) seem ok.

I'm guessing DI knows more about the fun coming than he can talk about atm. The stupid part is that should be obvious but isn't...
-
Ive had mine for about 3 months now (rack unit and controller) give or take a day or two, and Ive had no issues with my switches. Of course I'm not on the road with mine, and equipment does break. That said, they look to be durable to me at this point.

That's what most like to ignore because it defeats the idea that more is better. For those like him (there have been just a few) less was indeed enough. OTOH I don't know who did his amp setups sound/tone wise , but that guy is worth his weight in gold too. Together they made history. I love my Helix, but 10 of um won't make me ever sound like he did. Sigh....

Expecting too much and not even realizing it is a bad human trait. See examples below... :P

Since you are like me (I use an Apollo audio interface instead of Helix for my DAW) just hook Helix up via audio cables to your Focusrite, and run the other set of audio outs to your amp/FRFR setup. Simple and done. Then use the USB cable from Helix to your computer for the editor. Works like a charm for me.

stupid is as stupid does... The fun started for me when I opened the Helix box, but I'm not professionally stupid so I'll have to wait and see when their fun starts... ;)

Auto engage for the mission pedal and an axe fx is off at heel down. You can then set the slope of (linear to almost an s curve) travel, the percentage of when it does engage going toe forward, the frequency of the low and high tones (so when it's engaged at first you don't even hear it until you push the pedal forward), type of wah, and slow, medium or fast as to when it will disengage, all within the editor. Works like a charm is is used by nearly everyone with and axe fx, a mission pedal and a computer to setup. You of course can the save it to the preset.

Yea sorry for that mixup on my part. I could have sworn that I saw a toe-switch port on the floor unit too, but just checked and no, there wasn't one. Sorry for the fubar assuming above as I have the rack unit.

If you get the mission pedal for wah (Highly recommended) , there is a "Helix" Line 6 Mission pedal option out there that has the on-off foot switch. The regular Mission EP1-L6 Mission pedal does NOT. FYI...

At Line 6 they only speak geekoid Im afraid....
