  1. Yes, they have apps for all platforms to deep tweak...Number one, they sound great. Presets morph on change. The system is very fluid, musical and easy to use. workflow is pretty fast too. The sound of these things is really impressive.
  2. I think the only thing you could really do without modifying the amplifier would be to run a dual tone setup. It would be a little bit of tap dancing. You would need something like the BOSS-LS2 to setup the switching...Any ABY would work...LS-2 is generally a bit more effective as you can fix gain corrections easily. It's a great utility pedal to have around. basically, split the guitar with the LS2 and send to the input of the Amp and the Stomp...Connect the Stomp main outs or the headphone out to the aux in of the amp. You will be tap dancing changing tones...probably not great for live situations, but for recording it could offer some options. It might be possible with a USB midi host to expose program changes to/from the amp....That I am less certain of, but sometimes midi will be there on USB...If it's documented, it should be there...Then it would just be a matter of finding a compatible host. This is only a possibility...I do not know if the amp has midi over USB or not. I kinda think it does because it has an FBV. You could modify the power amp section to get an insert (FX Loop)...if you did that, then you could 6 cable it stereo... good luck
  3. Thanks for checking that out. The toggle works exactly as expected...It's just the initial value is getting a 127 from some place...Since it's the drive control, it gets kinda hot. lol! I think it's the nuero-hub...I like this new approach to setting up midi scenes, but I think I managed to capture a bad value...and I have not figured out how to dig it out yet...Pretty sure this is a problem of my own creation.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I am just getting this new rig together. I have it on a patch with only one CC on one FS in the command center in an attempt to isolate the issue. It's a bit strange. I remove the toggle and it goes away...the toggle is narrow 10-26...it loads with the dim value and then sends the 127 putting the drive full...makes no sense and that drive is not saved like that. I need to hook up another controller or a snooper to see if this is really the HX or the nuero-hub doing something freaky. The Audio Source stuff is a little new for me, but seems pretty straight forward.
  5. I have a bit of an unusual problem. I have an Audio Source Ultrawave Bass and was wanting to setup a toggle for the drive. Works great in the patch. However, when I recall the patch the HX is sending a 127 on that CC right after the patch loads. The patch in the Ultrawave is saved with the drive at the dim level (10)...the max level is 26...I am pretty certain that it isn't the ultrawave...just curious if anyone has run into something similar with cc toggles using narrow ranges.
  6. #1 makes a lot of sense. Mainly for the ground lift. Do mic level if you want the level to resemble a real microphone...line level if the console actually has pads on the XLR #2 line for a headrush...
  7. You probably switched over to the User Presets. Basically, there are two lists of 128 presets. The Factory presets are in one list and the other User list is empty.
  8. So if you have a Helix or LT I think you can have up to 4 chains. With the HX Stomps there are 2....I think HX FX is that way too. That seems doable with scenes... Another approach that is sorta fun for a morphing tone is to use the expression pedal and using the mix and pans to allow the expression pedal to morph for one amp->FX chain to another. I used that approach on the HD that has 2 chains and it can work great...kinda depends on the song and the speed of the transition you want.
  9. I used the HD Desktop for many years. The desktop actually has slightly more available DSP than the footboard models as I recall. The reason for that is the IO....No midi, FX Loop or VDI interface on the bean. I don't think it's a significant amount.

    Power and FRFR

They are flat with coutour out...coutour is just a loudness switch...It's nice for lower level playback without subs. I have two 212s and a pair of the matching 12" subs. I have used the the two subs stacked in full range mode for bass and they work nicely. I love the simplicity of the design, efficient flat drivers and no fans.

    Power and FRFR

I play both guitar and bass. I use an Alto TS212 for guitar and a TS315 for bass. works great for me. Going on 3-4 years now...
  12. Yea, you have to get your patches relatively leveled exactly right to use the looper and have something sorta close to being mixed right....Even then, it isn't a performance looper... It's a utility looper that is a great tool for tweaking as a PRE looper and leveling patches as POST looper....If you run your HD stereo, you will notice that the looper (POST) is mono...post loops will never sound exactly right because they are mono...
  13. respect you too sir. right on. I generally just ask about one question when there is very little information on the setup and what has been tried...Those items you listed certainly would come next...So you really have seen the 0% Full...1%-100% normal taper? I have never seen that precisely on any of their pedals. But if you have seen that and reset worked, nice one sir. really nice suggestion BTW....
  14. sure assignments are easy to mess up...but pedal tracking 1-100 with full on 0 is extremely odd and reminds me of a few pedal issues I have seen over the years that actually turned out to be hardware. My post was very specific to the pedal tracking if it is occurring on factory patches and the reason I recommended the service ticket if that was the case. Let Line 6 help him with further diag to determine what is going on...Sometimes, they like to get odd things like this back and it seemed odd enough to me to recommend a service ticket. Sorry just my opinion
  15. hmmm....so does this happen on all the factory patches with the volume pedal issue? If you so, I think you need to return it or get a service ticket going with Line 6....Screwed up wah or volume assignment can happen when you are poking around, but that volume behavior is really odd to me and kinda sounds like a hardware problem...
  16. So I had taken the cable rail out of my BCB-60 years ago when I had an M5 in it with some assorted stuff. I started looking at it sitting in the corner the other day. I am using the GO pretty much exclusively for bass right now and have a few shows coming up. It's a tight fit to get the lid closed due to the height of the GO pedal, but it's less pressure than me leaning on the pedal with my foot. But it has to be on the left side so the pedal in in the middle of the pedalboard. The go takes up about 2/3 of it and I could fit the old M5 (Loop) and Boss LMB-2 on the input...Worked out quite nicely. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone is looking for a pedalboard to fit the GO and a few more pedals. Basically, it will fit the GO and 3-4 additional pedals depending on the size of them. GO seems about 1/8" too tall at the pedal, but I think I could just cut the foam out of the lid where the pedal is and it should close perfectly. I just happened to have one of these and thought I would mention it.
  17. I use the GO for bass and gig with a single 15 monitor. I set the AMP OUT to MAIN and that gets a DI for the house. I run the MAIN L (MONO) out to my monitor. works great for me. When I have a gig where backline is provided and I have to use an amplifier I change the AMP OUT to CAB/IR and run the to Power Amp in of whatever it is. Set the MAIN level to noon and take the DI form the MAIN L....For you, I would suggest try setting the AMP OUT to MAIN and use that for DI...Run your headrush off the MAIN. GO Master does NOT affect the AMP OUT.
  18. Use what works for you....Best to use what gets you what you want and gives you confidence to perform. That's different for everyone.
  19. So a fresh Windows 10 is ok on the same hardware? that is kinda strange. Good you got it going. I wonder, if you forgot to unplug when installing Edit? Not really sure, but I have seen a similar issue in HD where the new Edit application will go in with the driver option selected. I think it prompts to unplug, but I have blown past it before and had to remove and reinstall the driver to get things going again.
  20. If you have a Vax, then you are better off just setting up a drop D, C#, B or A tuning on the VAX than trying to use a pitch block. It does feel weird, but it will be more convincing IMO.
  21. I have an older Sony VAIO that has first generation USB 3.0 in the chipset...There are only 2 ports on it and one is 2.0 only and the other is 3.0...If I use the 3.0 port, I will get a BSOD anywhere from a few minutes to several hours...never happens on the 2.0 only port. HD came out about the same time the earliest 3.0 capable interfaces came around and there were a lot of issues and not all USB implementations are created equally. Ideally, they would be. Insure that your BIOS, chipset drivers and any other motherboard firmware is up to date. You might check your BIOS settings for things related to USB...Power management, USB 3.0, Legacy....etc.... The other thing to look at are the ports themselves on your computer. HD will generally not cooperate on ports that are on hubs...One example where this can be overlooked is using the front ports on a desktop...Most of the time, the motherboard with have an embedded hub for the front ports. Similar thing in laptops...Usually the left side with be the embedded hub to provide more ports. Sometimes this issue is as easy to solve as switching ports...just depends.
  22. It's all about what blocks you want to hear or not hear in the main out vs amp out when it is set to IR/Cab...So if you wanted your amp dry and your DI wet, it could be useful to have FX after the IR block...If you want all the FX in both then you have to move the cab to the end. If Amp out is set to Main, then the only advantage might be post FX that have a bit more of a hi-fi quality because they are not attenuated by the IR... In my case, I use an FRFR monitor, so I use the AMP Out for the House Direct and the Main out for my monitor...That way the volume is fixed for FOH and and I can turn my monitor up and down using the Go Master. For my usage, I always have the cab block as the end because sometimes I will use a provided backline amp...In that case I use the same patch, change the amp out setting to IR/Cab....Amp out goes to the power amp in of the amp I am using and Main out goes to house. I don't ever want anything FX wise going to the main out that isn't in the amp out. My preference.
  23. It depends on what you are doing and your preferences....If you were performing live with a conventional guitar amp and you wanted that to be dry using directs to PA that are wet then maybe the first approach is better...If you wanted to run a Left(wet) Center(dry) Right(wet) setup the first approach would be what you need. If you are not using the amp out, then you might get a bit more of a high fi result from the first approach where the second approach is a bit more realistic in terms of signal chain with a conventional rig. If you are using the amp out with a conventional amp and feeding directs to PA and prefer to hear your FX in the amp, then approach 2 is what you need... That some basic situations, but chain order is subjective to the material and tone that is needed....Whatever gets you want for the song is the right approach.
  24. I have not checked this particular verb as I hardly ever use it for my own stuff...However, digital reverbs generally can be prone to oscillate harmonics that couple in the the form of overtones...distortion is the place to start...More saturation adds more harmonic content...if it couples, the reverb can start resonating those...As voxman55 alluded to, the more radical things are set, the more likely this can happen with a reverb....Without hearing what your are talking about and no information on your particular patch, it's hard to guess, but your description sounds like oscillations from a verb being a bit too long...
