  1. I use my Pod GO almost exclusively for bass both 4 and 5 string.works great Yea, the internet if full of it sometimes. voltage is voltage....A bass could damage speakers in an open back cabinet if it is run to clipping...The low frequency can tear the motor apart...but inside a pedal...no, not really...it might overload it a little, but that is just overdriving a preamp inside preamp...If a bass guitar blows it up, then it wasn't very well designed to start with.
  2. One note, when you are installing the driver...make certain that the GO USB is unplugged...Only plug it in when the dialog tells you.
  3. most likely something else is using it. I use Reaper also and ASIO goes unavailable in Reaper when I switch to Sound Forge to edit a file (I have it set for ASIO also). But as soon as I close Sound Forge the driver comes back on in Reaper. This happens on the fly and no restarting of anything is required. I am also using Windows 10. Make sure Windows Sound is using the Sound Mapper and not the POD directly. This could lock up ASIO for everything. Do NOT use ASIO4ALL, that will completely mess up your rig. It's not needed any more. There was a time in the past where it might have been helpful, but it is a dated remediation approach now.
  4. You need to put a dummy plug in the guitar input of the Flextone to turn the power amp mute off. I have a 3XL...FYI, the flextone powers up with the FX Loop enabled...shortboard isn't needed...However, it is still a good idea to save the flextone patch with the loop on in case you bump a patch button.
  5. POD Go doesn't have midi, so you will be tap dancing with this setup. Easiest thing to do would be put the HX FX in the Loop of the GO...Use the Go AMP Out to the Power amp in of your amp....run the GO main outs to your monitors (PA)....It will take time to tweak and you will have to change patches manually between the two units....If you are new to modeling and really want that much capability, I am curious why you did not opt for a Helix LT.
  6. Thanks! I was going to mention the volume pedal approach. But I actually do it inverted when I use it...MIN 100% and MAX 80% depending on the tone....That allows for wah rhythm volume setting instead of lead volume...just depends on the situation tho.
  7. Here's a simple one if you are not using the FX Loop FX Loop Jumper - jump the FX Loop with a patch cable and set the level to what you need for a boost when on. The nice thing about this is you can place the loop in front of the amp for cleaner tones and drive the amp harder for the lead or after the amp and before the FX for more saturated tones. Simple and effective...just use the fx Loop button for the boost and you can tweak the exact level you need per patch.
  8. There is one thing you can try in the Device Manager for the USB interfaces. Check the Power Management configuration. A lot of times, a BSOD on any USB streaming connection will be caused by Power Management kicking in on the USB Controller. This is a fairly deep setting, but you can set it not to sleep the device. Sometimes this can help. It at least eliminates it as a cause. Sometimes, modern laptops will have a legacy mode switch in the BIOS for USB. Additionally, there can be lower level motherboard firmware and bios updates that can help with USB UART problems. This is a problem in the HAL in Windows. Unfortunately, you may have to dig a bit to figure out how to get it working. This can involve going around the manufacturer of you laptop to get a chipset driver directly from the OEM. Not sure what your chipset is, but it seems to be AMD based.
  9. Have you visited the system menu to look at the amp out and main out configuration? The amp out will only work if you put the FX Loop in front of the Cab model...unless it is configured to be a Main out....That is a nice way to get mono out from. the end of the chain. AMP Out when configured as Pre Cab/IR will take signal right before the cab model....Main outs take signal from the end of the chain. The amp out can be configured to behave like main out.
  10. Oh I see, I misread your post...I thought you had no sound for some reason. my bad...move the cab to immediately after the amp model. Or...you could move it to the end of the chain and use the AMP OUT. for your FX Return....That is only useful if you Master volume works post return of the amp... Not sure if that is it, I thing something might be up with your output config....maybe your main outs are set to pre cab or something.
  11. curious, maybe the amp model bypass volume is turned all the way down? I just noticed your Loop is after the amp model.
  12. I think that amp as 2 FX loops and both are switched....I am guess you checked the one you are using is on? One way you can check a loop is just plug your guitar directly into the FX return....once you get it activated, you may just hear the greatest clean tone ever....it's just a way to test, but the guitar straight to the power amp with no tone stack is interesting. Nice amp. One note: If the master volume actually works post FX return, I would use the AMP out instead of the Main since the volume is fixed....This allows for a dual mode setup to run direct....
  13. Check your guitar with only the PodGo and a pair of headphones...If you have hum, it's the cable or the guitar. If the hum stops when you touch the bridge or the shield of the cable, it could be you have single coils or you have a wiring issue...Could be a lack of shielding of the cavity...Passive guitars are fantastic antennas and you got to make sure wiring is really tight. An AC ground can cover the issue by soaking it up...Just gotta isolate it.

    Pod Go Amp Out

I would not matter if it was a TRS jack. You can always insert a TS plug into a TRS jack (balanced) and drive an unbalanced input. Outputs are buffered, so cable length matters less than is does for passive guitar run.
  15. I had an extra targus laptop backpack from work and it's the perfect size for the GO with plenty of room for cables, power and porn in the outside pocket. This one. https://www.staples.com/Targus-Groove-Laptop-Backpack-15-4/product_572957?cid=PS:GooglePLAs:572957&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=572957&KPID=572957&gclid=CjwKCAjwr7X4BRA4EiwAUXjbt2L4aNLrqsdDMKjxeQPzw1u0tAubOIOdgaWp3USEraPSAGvEn4vWJxoCPKYQAvD_BwE&akamai-feo=off
  16. No, you just need to select USB 3 or 4 on the dry track you are are recording GO dry. I use GO with Native also...I generally have a stereo track using USB 1&2 and a dry track using USB 3...1&2 catches the GO patch...I put a native plug on the dry track...replicate it etc...usually endup scratching the GO track. I don't monitor with a native plug, I just use it 100% post.
  17. My German is really rusty, but I thought that meant Unknown Device....that generally means that the driver is NOT loaded properly. I just want to ask if you downloaded the Driver separate and re-installed it?
  18. That look like the driver is NOT installed. Go to the software page and insure you have installed the driver. It is a separate item in the downloads. https://line6.com/software/index.html IE: Drivers Line 6 Driver2 Version 1.94.0.0 Released 3/31/20 Works with: POD Go
  19. That sounds like a bug to me...What if you unplug you FS before you power up and plug in after bootup? seems you have found the workaround...but definitely is a bug IMO. I don't have an FS to test that out with here.
  20. You are approaching it backwards...turn up your mix to match the GO....Your mix will likely slam a little bit...just turn down the master so it's comfortable and balance the mix to the GO...If you turn the GO down then you end up with a very weak track...Please keep in mind that DRY tracks will be weak by default....The mix you use to monitor recording will NOT be the same as post. jus sayin...
  21. You're most welcome. I think there are few other software packages out there...That thing has been around forever. You would need a midi interface for it I think. Have you thought about Helix LT? I don't have one but I think the integration with Native is a bit better...More midi control too.
  22. Why not try the amp out? You can set it to mirror the Mains and it is a mono output. You can be stereo and mono at the same time.
  23. Behringer FCB-1010 has been around for a long time and might be worth checking out.
  24. Just checking is all. I use Helix Native 100% post and have not tried wiring up midi. That is interesting. seems like there should be some sort of midi data on snapshots....maybe that could come in an update. You should definitely contact them.
