  1. Do they stop blinking after you step on one of them, thereby selecting one of the presets from among the blinking options?
  2. If you're just using Helix you can use L6 Link and daisy chain the 2nd speaker from the first. The problem arises when you connect something to the 2nd speaker and want to also hear it from the 1st speaker. The sound can't get to the first speaker via L6 Link because Helix is already connected to its L6 Link IN port.
  3. Yes, a trick of the ear. There have been no changes to the modeling engine and no technical reason for things to sound any different.
  4. Disconnect the POD usb cable from the pc. Connect the audio interface to the pc via usb. Connect the POD audio outputs to the audio interface inputs rather than to speakers. You connect your speakers to the audio interface outputs. Your POD becomes simply an audio device, not an audio interface.
  5. You can connect the POD HD anlaog outputs to the inputs of any standard audio interface with no issues.
  6. Open a support ticket here: http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html
  7. Your 2 L3t speakers can handle everything you mention. Check out some typical configurations here, particularly the Small Club Duet. This supports 4 XLR/Line inputs on the two side panel mixers as well as a number of rear panel inputs. http://line6.com/support/page/articles/_/live-sound/stagesource-speaker/stagesource-series-setup-examples-r89 Note that you need to connect the two speakers in a bi-directional L6 Link setup in order to get all inputs to each speaker heard from both speakers in stereo. That means you will not use L6 Link from your Helix. Use the analog outputs to the rear panel inputs on one of the L3t.
  8. I think he means that the FX block on the Helix signal flow display is not lighting up to reflect that the FX has been turned on by the footswitch. He is not talking about the FX being selected for editing with its parameters shown below the signal flow. Normally when a block is turned on/off by a footswitch its icon is shown in the Helix signal chain display as lit (on) or dark (off). I think this is what is not happening for him.
  9. Have a look at this thread. Maybe some useful info for you. http://line6.com/support/topic/24212-best-speaker-solution-for-helix/
  10. If you do plan to restore the bundle rather than the individual setlists be aware that this will overwrite the updated factory setlists that are included in v2.10. So before restoring the bundle you might consider backing up the v2.10 factory setlists individually. That will give you the option to replace the previous factory setlists with the new ones if you want to do that at any time after restoring the bundle.
  11. A firmware option would be nice. In the meantime other users have reported success with a simple workaround. Put a small riser of some sort underneath the rear edge of the device. Raising the rear of the device an inch or so makes it much easier to tap the top row switches without hitting the bottom row switches.
  12. In step 3 when you say Looper is muted, do you mean it continues to play/loop but you've just muted the sound? If so, try stopping the loop rather than muting it. Then when you start it again going back to Snap 1 it should start playback from the beginning. You can stop it with a well-timed foot stomp, or you can do so more conveniently using the 'Play Once' switch at any time during the last loop. Note, though, that your tempo may have changed slightly while playing the bridge/chorus - we're only human. So there might be a detectable tempo change as the loop playback reverts things back to the original tempo.
  13. I've never had any problems using Firefox with Line 6 downloads. I try to avoid using IE in any situation. Just seems to cause problems in my previous experiences with it.
  14. Yeah. I knew it wasn't a Line 6 product but I thought the internals were licensed. Phil_m cleared me up on that. You're likely right on the reason for failure.
  15. It's not quite the same as the wife-beater question, but it is a meaningless question because our answer is the same regardless of the circumstances. The answer is always No. It may be true, or it may be false but required by our NDA. In either case, the public answer is No so you can conclude exactly nothing from it. Having said that, the answer in this particular case is No.
  16. ... and you don't need to download the actual firmware. Run the Line 6 Updater program to install the firmware.

You will also find useful info here. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-x3/ In particular, look at the first Q in this one: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-x3/pod-x3-live-applications-faq-r404 ... and the reference/link to the Pilot's Guide.

  19. The OR80 model is just called Mandarin. And The Shiva model is called Mahadeva.
  20. Do you have the latest version of the HD500X Edit program? Do the new amps appear on the device itself? Note that the amps are not called their true (copyrighted) names. For instance, the Orange amp model is called Mandarin.
  21. Yes. You need to connect your speakers to Helix outputs.
  22. There's nothing special about the stand - just the weight to consider.
  23. If you're sure you have the most recent version of the editor, try cycling the power on both Helix and your computer.
  24. I don't think the guitar is bad but in order to check it out more thoroughly there are a couple of things to do if you haven't done them already. First, make sure the firmware is up to date. You should be using Workbench HD (not the original Workbench) with the latest firmware. I believe Workbench HD supports global string volumes. Secondly make sure your strings are fresh and do the string volume levelling again. It's not unusual for some piezos to be a little hotter or cooler than others especially if the guitar is used. It could also be a simple issue of the way a particular string sits in either the saddle or the nut. A very small piece of dust under the string in either place can create havoc with string tone and volume. As already mentioned you can change the alt tuning back to DADGAD.
  25. Without seeing the photo I suspect you are talking about the cord security loop. You wrap the power cord around it to protect the end of the cord from damage in case of a sudden jerk.
