Have you tried letting Monkey do the suggested driver update?

To reiterate zooey's question: do you have any XMAS GIVE AWAY offer for non-facebook users? There are actually many of us here who could end up being CabIR.eu customers. I tried your VOX sample a while back. It was good, but only 1 IR. If your Xmas offer introduces me to a wide range of Fender, Vox, and other lower-gain cabs you might have a paying customer!

There's no trick. You have to purchase a license for Pod Farm 2 if you want to use it. Until/unless you want to do that there is no reason to have Pod Farm 2 installed. Uninstall it and wait for a response to your support ticket. Hopefully you can get Pod Farm 1 to run properly.

I would open a support ticket to work directly with Line 6 on this. http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html

That's exactly correct. General purpose (non-FRFR) headphones around your ears is a completely different thing from an FRFR monitor's sound bouncing around the room to your ears. Most people who need to use both environments maintain two different sets of presets (setlists) to account for these differences.

Download and install the Win7 version. I believe it still works on Win10. If it doesn't run directly you may have to use Windows compatibility mode.

Looks like you need to purchase a license for POD Farm 2. Your Toneport is an older device that included a license for the original Pod Farm product. That license does not extend to Pod Farm 2. Are you able to use the original POD Farm product with your Toneport?

Best " FSW Boot Sequence " to wipe / clear Helix .... ?
silverhead replied to benifin's topic in Helix
It's kind of a moot point because you will also want to upgrade the used Helix to the latest firmware/editor package. The instructions for doing this include a 9&10 restart. -
Best " FSW Boot Sequence " to wipe / clear Helix .... ?
silverhead replied to benifin's topic in Helix
Perhaps 5&12 does indeed clear everything - including factory presets whereas 9&10 restores factory presets. But just a guess as I've never used 5&12. -
Have you opened a support ticket to get help from Line 6?

For the different rows of switch control, see the Global Settings. One of the options is Footswitches. There you can control what the footswitch display/controls look like. You can, for instance, choose 4 Stomps / 4 Presets which allows you to control preset selection on one row and FS on/off on the other row. To assign a FS to an FX block the simplest thing to do is to use the touch capacitance feature of the switches. Select any FX in the signal path view. Touch (don't depress) the FS you want to assign it to (make sure you choose a FS in the correct row if you have separated the rows as above). The Helix display will change and allow to to confirm or deny the assignment, along with the option to add this assignment to the existing FX already controlled by that FS or to replace the existing assignments. The assignment of an FS to an FX block also applies to the Looper. Assign it to an FS as described above and this becomes your Looper on/off switch.

Did you download and install the driver for the Fx100?

Use the Helix editor/app on your computer to back up each custom (not factory) setlist individually. You can then restore your custom setlists after updating. The update will load in the new factory presets associated with the latest firmware. There is no automated backup/restore procedure for IRs. You can back them but the information about their slot number is not retained in the backup procedure. You need to manually manage that information to ensure that you can restore them to the correct slot. One way of doing this is to include the slot number as a 3-digit prefix to the IR name. Rename the IRS in that manner before you export them so you can restore them properly.

Red items in the selection block mean that you are approaching the DSP limit. These elements cannot be selected because they would exceed the available remaining DSP capacity. To get more DSP you can use the lower signal path, Path 2. Change the output of your Output block at the end of Path 1. Direct it to Path 2 and your DSP capacity for the preset is doubled.

You need a piece of Line 6 hardware called the Variax Workbench Interface. Your focusrite will not work as a Variax Workbench interface. The required interface and cables should have come with your guitar. Use that when connecting to the Workbench HD program.

Navigate to the folder that contains the set list files rather than the preset files then select the desired setlist.
-
The editor supports .hls files (setists). How are trying to import the setlist, and what is happening to make you think it only imports .hlx?

On Customtone? I suppose there are a few superior tone makers but it's a completely unregulated site. Anyone can post anything and call it what they want. In my experience a superior tone on Customtone is a very rare find indeed.

You can select the s/pdif output signal to be the incoming source signal, completely dry. With that option selected, the input signal does not pass through the DSP signal path but is tapped directly from the input jack and sent out through the s/pdif connection. You can't get more dry than that - it only undergoes one A/D conversion within the POD and then goes digital to your DAW. No other processing or conversions.
-
No problem. It won't cause any damage. You can also use the POD to do the signal processing. It has an Ampeg bass amp model. But if you do want to use the VST processing be sure you feed your DAW a dry signal from the POD. You do that by not adding any processing blocks in the POD signal path - keep it completely empty.
-
There is no VST plug-in with modeling from the POD HD series. However, the POD HD will act as an audio interface for the hardware independent version of Pod Farm but you need to purchase a Pod Farm license.

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'sorting out'. If you mean 100% bug free then no software products would ever be released by anyone, not just Line 6. If you mean 'to my satisfaction' then there's a different (and unspecified) threshold for every user. Line 6, and all other software, hardware, and embedded systems manufacturers release products when they deem their internal thresholds have been met through internal and beta testing. Inevitably, in all products, there are remaining bugs and anomalies that are only encountered after full public release, or that have been deemed sufficiently minor that they should not delay public release. Anyone remember the VHS vs. Betamax battle (you probably don't unless you were buying VCRs in the '80s)? You never hear of either anymore, but back in the day Betamax was a superior technology. However, they lost the market completely because they stayed in the lab too long perfecting their technology. VHS claimed the market by mass-releasing an inferior technology first.
