Anyone Tried A 64gb Sd Card?
silverhead replied to SiWatts69's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Yes - I use a 64GB Class 10 SD card. As stated, you need to format it properly. -
Try this: http://line6.com/data/6/0a06434d12155507f39d011ad3/application/pdf/M5%20Pilot%27s%20Handbook%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20B%20).pdf

Try recalibrating your pedal. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects/pod/pod-hd/pod-hd500xhd500-pedal-calibration-r161

Check the panning in the X3L Direct Outputs page to make sure its centered properly.
-
Usually the only time you use Studio/Direct is when you are going direct to a PA/mixer. If your output goes to a guitar amp you want to use the Live mode that is closest to your amp (stack pwr, combo front, ...)

Me too - Earvana nut. I had my intonation set up professionally with the nut installation, and since then I use the HD500 tuner.

You can easily use a mic with the Pod HD Pro. Connect the mic, select it as an Input in the HD Pro preset, adjust the Mic Trim knob, and apply whatever FX you want to the signal chain. Save the preset. When you need to make a speech just select that preset on the HD Pro. If you are using a condenser mic make sure you activate the phantom power on the HD Pro.

I believe this is an acknowledged bug in the Edit program. Could be wrong about this - my memory may be faulty but I think I recall this being reported before. Perhaps other users can correct or confirm this. I suggest you report it as a bug by opening a support ticket. This will help Line 6 prioritize this item as something that needs fixing.

You would select the PRE (rather than the FULL) model of the amp. The PRE model does not include cab/mic simulations.
-
BINGO!

The drag/drop works perfectly for HD500 to HD500x. While HD Pro presets can be dragged/dropped you will still need to tweak the Inputs to get them correct. The conversion utility takes care of this for you.

Yes - the Pod HD Pro tones are directly compatible. The HD500 tones are compatible after being translated by this utility (thanks jzab): http://www.jzab.de/content/pod-hd

Variax 300 In Dream Rig?
silverhead replied to jaycade's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
I regularly use a Variax 300 with a Pod HD and Studio/Direct out to a PA. The interaction between the HD500 and the DT amp is independent of the interaction between the Vax and the Pod. The Variax 300 and the Pod HD work very well together in terms of storing/switching Variax settings within the Pod HD preset. Like Zap says, the Pod/JTV combination offers more in terms of Variax control using the Pod, but as far as the technology allows the Variax 300 works perfectly for me with the Pod HD. -

So We're About A Week Out From The Firmware Anniversary Give Or Take...
silverhead replied to RipperShred's topic in POD HD
That's right. And there could easily be more than that from now to Q1. In fact, it could be never............ ;) ....... and I'll still be very happy that my HD500 is now even better than when I bought it. And I thought my money was well spent way back then. -
Period Of Silence When Switching Between Patches On Hd500
silverhead replied to timothybaugh's topic in POD HD
There is inevitably a lag of a fraction of a second while the device loads a new preset. This is usually not very noticeable, but it is there. There is a more noticeable lag when connected via usb to your computer and running the editor. If you are connected when noticing this, just disconnect. -
You have Tone 2 Locked. See your Home page display in the video? The padlock icon in the bottom row of the display shows that Tone 2 is locked. Turn the little black knob beneath it until the icon shows unlocked.

Pod Hd 500x.. How To Set Up Guitar And Auxillary Output For Chapman Stick
silverhead replied to Rclere's topic in POD HD
Here is a preset I created some time ago that may be helpful as an illustration of the required dual-path setup. http://line6.com/customtone/tone/217206 It was created to provide simultaneous recording of the wet and dry signal from an HD500, but for your purposes the setup is what matters. It uses two inputs, keeps the signals completely separate as they are process independently in the two paths, and directs the outputs separately to L and R channels. Try experimenting with this setup, changing the inputs and amp/FX selections as you wish in each path. Do not change the signal flow setup; in particular, do not move any FX into the pre-path split position and do not adjust the mixer panning. Hope this helps. -
To all who are reporting this problem here - I suggest you each open your own support ticket to work directly with Line 6 on a solution.

No - the Metal Pack is not compatible with the HD300. You can continue to use it with your UX.
-
The HD Edit program is a device editor that runs on your computer. It does not require much RAM. it is not necessary to be running the editor in order to use the pod. The Pod normally is used without being connected to your computer and without the editor; you can edit your tones directly on the Pod. The editor is just more convenient when you are planning on doing some heavy editing.

The HD Desktop is itself an audio interface so it can replace your UX. but you could also continue to use your UX and connect the pod analog outputs to the UX inputs. Your choice. But you can only have one of them connected via USB to your computer at a time. Riff works will use whichever audio interface device is connected via USB - your UX or the Pod. You will be able to use whatever plugins you want in your DAW.

Recording Direct With Usb Pod Hd500x Patches Are All Extremely Low Level
silverhead replied to MattWicklund's topic in POD HD
In the Line 6 Audio-MIDI devices control panel there is a switch for a +18db boost that can be added to the usb signal. Try adding that boost.
