  1. I no longer have an HD500X, but I used to use it for my JTV-89F. Is it not working for you?
  2. Gibson Custom Limited Edition Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess‎
  3. Rocco_Crocco was kind enough to email me his 59 bundle, but I still get that "Error loading file - unsupported file format - Code 8000101a". I have been able to load a bundle arislaf shared with us at one time. Does anyone know for sure whether we can or can't share .bun files between JTV59, 69 and 89F? Thanks
  4. When I bought a DT50HD, I called Line6 and provided them the serial number to find out if it was one of the amps that potentially had the transformer problem. There is no published list to refer to, and they will only answer your specific questions for a specific serial number. If it is only a year and half old, it won't have the transformer problem. I don't know about any other potential problems.
  5. I think there is a striking similarity between the the governments cover-up of UFOs by the government, and the cover-up of the inner workings of Variax electronics (and ultimately the true cause of the plink) by Line6. The only logical conclusion is that both are the result of alien visitation to our planet and their manipulation of Newtonian physics and silicon based technology.
  6. Glockster - "Please clarify, are your referring to the nut on the tuner or locking nut? If the locking nut why would any modifications be required?" The locking nut. I find it annoying sometimes because the tuning adjustment knobs on the bridge max out and I have to loosen the nut to readjust the headstock tuners and reset the bridge tuners. I have a EBMM Majesty that has a trem bar and locking tuners without a locking nut and it is just easier.
  7. Did you modify the nut when you installed the locking tuners?
  8. $1,400 US http://www.guitarcenter.com/Line-6/Variax-Shuriken-Electric-Guitar.gc No extra charge for one that comes with a plink!
  9. The goal is a least four digits in the number of posts. But seriously, while my 89F does not have this problem, Line6 should not be allowed to just walk away from the problem. They should have to pay child support just like the rest of us.
  10. Voted for every ideascale post that had to do with this topic.

  12. If you are in the Charlotte, NC area, stop over and see/play them for yourself. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/msg/5769396328.html DT50HD $575 Thanks!
  13. If you call Line 6 and provide them with the serial number they should be able to answer that question. Note: They won't tell you everything they know about it, only what you ask.
  14. The default is four, but you may be able to contact Line 6 and request an increase.
  15. The DTs do sound good straight in. You will find a number of posts that differ in opinion as far as DT alone and using the POD. I have tried a few of the AX8 amps (disabling the power amp section and sometimes the cab) into the effects return of the DT50. Sounds awesome. I did use a mic cable for a while before I bought a short digital cable. I don't think you are going to hurt anything.
  16. You can go to http://line6.com/software/index.htmland choose your DT50 amp (DH50HD, DT50112 or DT50212), but they all only have the 2.0 firmware. Not sure what manual you are looking at. POD Edit is 2.26, Helix is 2.1, HD500X is 2.62. Regardless, Monkey will give you the options you have for which ever piece of gear you want to update. All the best with your new amp. EDIT: I think you are looking at the two connectivity guides: L6 LINK Connectivity Guide for POD HD & DT Amplifiers v2.00 - English ( Rev E ) L6 LINK Connectivity Guide for POD HD & DT Amplifiers v2.10 - English ( Rev A ) Without going through them word for word, I think 2.1 is just an updated document. Not sure why they have removed all the DT50 manuals from the manuals page.
  17. The DT amps firmware update is 2.0. Monkey will indicate what firmware you have. You will need a MIDI connection.
  18. As a result of the above decision, the fact that there are folks who have sent their guitars in for service without resolution with apparently no hope of having the issue resolved, I will not make any future purchases from Line 6. The guitars with this problem should have never left the factory. The ones that did should have been fixed or replaced, period.
  19. I've read others who placed something in the whole to take up a little space so the knob does not sink too low. Edit: crusinon2 beat me to it, and phrased it better too!
  20. The VDI sounds better when listening with my left ear and the 1/4 inch out sounds better when listening with my right ear, but that's just one side of it.
