  1. Greetings Liejp and welcome/welkom/bienvenue/willkommen to the forum. (Sorry, I could not find a Flemish translator so I used Dutch) I have no experience with the Flextone II head, but from reading some of this page (http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/legacy-products/amps/flextone-i-ii-iii-duoverb-hd147/flextone-general-i-ii-iii-faq-r462) it states: "The Flextone II HD is 100 watts per side at 4, 8, or 16 (switchable) ohms." Matching the impedance of the amp and the cab is an important first step. Your cab should state what impedance options are available where you plug your speaker cables into the cab. Which ever option you choose, you need to match the correct output from the DT25. For example: If there is an option (switch) on your cab that sets it to 4 ohms, you will need to patch you speaker cable (not a regular guitar cable) to the 4 ohm output from you DT25. The DT25 also has 8 and 16 ohm options if required. Another consideration would normally be power handling for combined speakers. Being that the DT25 is a 25 watt head (when it is not in low volume mode (LVM)) you should not have any worries there. Example: If each of your 4 speakers are rated at 30 watts, the cab can handle (4x30) 120 watts. If you did not blow the speakers in that cab with the Flextone II, you're safe. Here is a little tidbit from Celestion: (http://celestion.com/speakerworld/guitartech/1/37/Speaker_Upgrade:_Power_Handling/) There are a lots of websites that can help you understand this type of information. Hopefully this gets you started in the right direction. Since you are buying a used amp, be sure to check out the latest update for your DT25 (http://line6.com/software/index.html) This page will help with things as well (http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifiers/dt50dt25/) Last but not least, the manuals: http://line6.com/support/manuals/dt25hd The DT amps are pretty awesome. Enjoy! I hope you and yours are safe where you are in Belgium.
  2. I believe it works like this: You have an account with Line 6 where you authorize and/or de-authorize your gear. If you sell your HD500 you would normally de-authorize it before selling it. This frees up one of the (four ?) available units you can apply your model pack to. If the person you sell your HD500 to wants a model pack, they authorize their new HD500 under their account and purchase the model pack. You authorize your new HD500X. Since you already purchased the model pack, you can apply it to your new HD500X. If you don't / didn't de-authorize your old HD500, that complicates things. The buyer will still have access to the new model packs, but they can't update or re-flash their HD500 because that requires them to login to Line 6 with your credentials (unless it is someone you have shared your username and password with). In this case, you have lost one unit of the model pack that you can apply to your gear. If I missed something or made an error, one of the fine folks here will clear it up. Hope this helps.
  3. Hi all, Using a 500X, if I L6 Link a DT amp followed by a StageSource speaker, can I mute the StageSource speaker via the drop down list in HDEdit like I can mute the DT? Thanks
  4. This site is not Line6 support. To submit a support ticket, go here: http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  5. Hi all, Using a 500X, if I L6 Link a DT amp followed by a StageSource speaker, can I mute the StageSource speaker via the drop down list in HDEdit like I can mute the DT? Thanks
  6. When I set up a patch in HDEdit using one or more DT amps, there is a drop down list for each amp that allows a specific DT to sound just the L, just the right, both L & R or even mute that DT. One other option in that drop down list is Amp A or Amp B. That setting pinches off the signal at that amp and sends it out from that point. The signal never reaches the post amp effects. I hope I said that in an understandable way. Just an update: I use L6 Link when making these settings and I have only used the 4 cable method a few times with the 500X. It was the first thing I thought of after reading your description. Sorry if it does not apply to your situation.
  7. I don't own a HD PRO, but on the 500X you can pinch off the signal at the amp. This would result in hearing none of the effects after the amp including the looper if that is where it is located. This is the only thing I can think of as to why you would hear all the effects located before the amp and none after.
  8. Is the DT25 in Low Volume Mode (LVM)? There is a switch on the back.
  9. I just downloaded and ran this application on my old mid 2007 iMac with El Cap latest update. It responds both directions (change in app or change on DT) except for the master volume (changing the DT changes the app but not the other way around). I also tried creating an amp report but it just locks up and I have to force stop the application. Anyone else have these issues? Thanks
  10. I called Line6 when I bought my DT50HD. They told me the serial number I gave them was after the transformer problem, which is before your dates. Not sure what is going on.
  11. It might be that it was too much to design the loop with it being all modeled and not using the power tubes. I don't know though. I have been playing the 500X and a GR-55 into the Altos, either individually or blending them. Playing the DT straight up controlling the internals with DTEdit. It can sound great with no effects besides its reverb. What is/are of your favorite configuration(s)?
  12. In HD 500X Edit, you have the option of setting amp A to one DT and amp B to the other.
  13. I think I asked this once before, but did not receive a reply. Can you please tell me why I can not have access to the documents that inform me of the Line6 setup details of my guitar? I've got my 89F setup and sounding great, but I just don't understand why Line6 would want to hide their recommendations from it's customers. A straight forward, honest answer would be appreciated. Even if it is because the service centers have to pay for the service documents, I would like to know if that is the reason. This might not be my "father's guitar", but it's not the space shuttle or a matter of national security. Thanks in advance.
  14. I don't the logic here. You would tweak your patches for your LP vs Strat vs whatever guitar you are using. How is that different from your JTV?
  15. Latest 10.11.1 sees the POD and loads presets. :)
  16. I'm sure we come up with something else to complain about is we just put our minds to it! Seriously, I'm glad this is out now. I had to update to a newer OS X so that I could use Logic Remote and (I'm not a Mac expert) it seems you can not easily do incremental updates from a previous version of OS X any more. I was at 10.8 and needed 10.9.2 to use remote. Had to go all the way to 10.11.1 to get it to work because I could not figure out how to get to 10.9.2. Thanks for the update info.
  17. Since you said you are new to the guitar... 1) With the battery in the JTV, push in the Model selector, not just spin the selector. You should see it light up. 2) When you are using the VDI/USB interface, you need to have a 1/4 cable plugged into the JTV as well. That should turn the red flashing light on the interface to green. You also need to turn up the volume pot. Turning it all the down turns off the JTV. Hope this helps.
