  1. sifpandor,... the date code on the 59 you have is definitely an macassar ebony fret board.
  2. Should be okay, the power and ground pins are the same for both. Make certain you use a VDI cable with the Canon/Neutrik shells on both ends, and not a generic CAT5 network cable. VDI fits better. And don't forget which connector is which on the back panel. Rock-n-Roll!!! ;)
  3. Not much parts for 500's left, beyond piezos and maybe a knobs.
  4. Piezos are still available on Full Compass. Make sure to check which ones they are for, as they also sell current piezos which are different from the old piezos.
  5. Do not use CAT6 or Cat7, it's the wrong frequency bandwidth/data rate for our products. Do not use generic CAT5/5e for playing through,... that is for use with Monkey and Workbench HD. Use the real VDI cable with the Canon/Neutrik shells on both ends for a good lock when playing. Jiggling when using regular CAT5 can induce transients on a signal line or supply rail, and that can damage something internally.
  6. Lock it very carefully. "... attempt at making them proprietary essentially? " --- no, it's what fits on the board for that kind of flat cable at that time, back then. " Can I get a new latch connector somehow? " --- No. It's not available as a separate part. It's a surface mount part, and those traces are very thin,... one false move or too much heat and it's all over for that one.
  7. Have to be careful with that latch on the connector on the main board. If it breaks and you're unable to get a new board from Full Compass, then a 500 from eBay for parts would be your only alternative.
  8. " Did you work on my JTV59, psarkissian? " --- yes, details would be in account. Where you go to log a support ticket, to the left of it would be product listing, in there would be details about what was done.
  9. Do you have the Artist Bundles loaded in your guitar?
  10. Yes there is software, check the Line 6 Downloads page and follow the prompts. Check the OS compatibility for your computer. What you need is a Variax interface accessories to connect to your guitar to your computer for doing any updates with Line 6 Monkey or using the original Workbench. Old Variax is not compatible with the newer Workbench HD. May need to run the 700 Acoustic with batteries an 1/4" TRS Cable or the XPS power wedge. Also check your input settings to be certain that Variax input is enabled.
  11. " I'm sure it would only take one of the I.T. department only a few days work to set it up. " --- Product firmware is not IT department, beyond setting up the web connections and pathways. Product firmware takes more than a few days to create the update, test it, and make sure it complies with standard for publicly available software. https://line6.ideascale.com It's where people go for product feature requests and such.
  12. "... about switching force mode off. Can you be more specific? I don’t see a switch anywhere. " --- On the iDevice app, switch off models. Do you have a photo of the whole screen? https://line6.com/data/6/0a064389f12c5564c72bd7f4a/application/pdf/Firehawk FX Pilot's Guide - English ( Rev E ).pdf pages 10-12
  13. Either the app has control of the Variax through its effect preset in what's called "force mode" and it needs to be turned off, or you don't have the Shuriken Bundle loaded in the Variax. Also, logging a Support ticket in your account would be a good idea.
  14. " the model in the iDevice doesn't match the guitar. ", " I rotate the guitar knob to a model while connected through VDI, and the app sees something completely different. "--- 1) Either the iDevice is controlling the guitar, because each effect has a preset guitar model associated with it. That can be turned off, so you are controlling from the the guitar. 2) Or, the Shuriken Bundle is not loaded in your guitar, go to,... ... for the Shuriken Bundle.
  15. No not pick-up mode, it's for deciding whether the iDevice app controls the guitar or whether you do it manually. Going from mags to models is done from the model knob on the guitar. Once in model mode, either you or the iDevice app determines the model being selected. You can choose the model for the preset using the iDevice app as well.
  16. " Sorry I posted this originally in the wrong section. " --- no problem, I moved it here. I can delete the other one for you if you wish.
  17. Yes. Best bet,... https://shop.line6.com/accessories/cables/variax-digital-cable.html
  18. VDI gives a more snug fit when playing, cuts down on any loosie-goosie that can lead to intermittence and the host of problems that can result from that.
  19. I'm here. " I'm almost positive that it's possible to replace just the piezo inserts on the Graph Tech Floyd " --- No, you can't. The piezo and saddle are one assembly and cannot be broken down into smaller components. Also, the piezos are made slightly different, so they are grouped in pairs,... outer, inner and middle. The connectors are coded for specific connection to specific signal lines, or it will not sound correct. As for availability in your area, log a support ticket in your account and the regional Yamaha Support may be able to answer that.
  20. It's a toggle on, toggle off. There on the model area.
  21. Keep checking the web site for any that might show up,... https://shop.line6.com/hardware/guitars/ As far as what might be available in Spain, keep checking with the stores and music instrument retailers in your area.
