  1. 1) Do you have the Shuriken Bundle? 2) The Firehawk FX have default presets that come with each effect. In the app under "V" for Variax, there should be a setting to turn that off, so that the Variax Models function independently from the Firehawk.
  2. What is the Flash version in it? For an early serial number Shuriken, be certain you have Flash v2.23 program and the Shuriken Preset Bundle.
  3. Just read it. Sehr gut mein freund. Also mention that it's for the two bridge intonation screws and not the six piezo intonation screws.
  4. I await its arrival. A couple of reasons for that, either the battery box is sending a false low battery signal to the processor board even though the LED's say it's near full, or a glitch with the 3-Way toggle switch. I will look into it further when arrives.
  5. If all else fails, contact Mark Wright at Mark Wright Music in Northampton. Used to be my opposite number at Line 6 Rugby, when we had a location there.
  6. Just viewed the ticket,... Variax 700 Electric uses original Workbench. Variax 700 Electric won't work with Workbench HD, they are not compatible. Workbench HD is for JTV, Standard and Shuriken guitar, and not for original Variax. Don't plug in the XPS into the set-up. What is your computer OS?
  7. "... send me a pair of fitting screws by airmail even if you and charge me for that? " --- You would have to log a support ticket that. If they are okay with that , then I'm okay with that. Our Support partners in Germany would be a more direct source for that hardware. Log a Support ticket, they can take care of it, they are closer to you.
  8. Why is the XPS supply plugged in? BTW, just a reminder, this is a topic section for the Standard, not for old Variaxes. No problem, I see this all the time.
  9. With those chords, must be A major. Don't know of any documents besides the Pilot's Guide and Advance Guide in the Manuals section online. https://line6.com/support/manuals/spiderjam
  10. Vic20-lan's idea sometimes works, try that. Workbench HD won't work with old Variax. You will need to run original Workbench on a computer using Windows 7 or 8. Anything after that like Windows 10 and it won't see it.
  11. I don't recognize any of the highlighted numbers there as being something that matches the specs.
  12. Loud static would be an intermittent connection. Considering the age of your guitar and accessories, and your geographic location it could be an oxidized solder point or mechanical connection in the guitar, stereo guitar cable or the XPS. Should be properly troubleshooted by a Line 6 authorized technician experienced with our product. https://line6.com/find/service_center/ High Energy Systems Servicing: Electronics,Guitars 21929 US 19 North Clearwater, Florida, 33765 727-797-6440 highnrgfl@aol.com ProAudio Electronics LLC Servicing: Electronics,Guitars 1250 E. Hillsborough Ave. Tampa, Florida, 33604 813-232-3907 mj@proaudioe.com You can also log a Support Ticket.
  13. https://line6.com/support/manuals/jtv59 Pilot's Guide for the 59 and the other for Workbench. Also check the Forum Knowledge Base for other tips on these items.
  14. Just remember that Line 6 does not support modifications that alter the function of the product, so proceed at own risk.
  15. "Any way to shore it up at all or a suitable replacement? " --- No, not without risking damage to something. "Is it the same bridge on the JTV's?" --- No. And they are not interchangeable.
  16. "... why would all of a sudden all of the tubes not be working? " --- When were the tubes changed out last? What is the brand and tube numbers of the tubes in there now? Any servicing should be done by a Line 6 authorized service center who knows the product. These are not the all analog tube amps of old, they have to be handled a little different.
  17. Use the Line 6 interface and its accompanying cable, they are optimized for this set-up. Check the Line 6 Forum Knowledge Base and online Pilot's Guide User Manuals for tips on how to use it. And the above photo with the Neutrik end connection is the cable for playing thru only when using VDI. The interface is for connecting to Monkey and Workbench HD, and not for playing thru, except when monitoring sounds while using Workbench HD. Thank you silverhead.
  18. A number of people wanted the old Floyd Rose/ Wilkerson design for this product, and unfortunately has what's known as "the Wilkerson wobble". The nature of that design.
  19. "... Line6 would need to verify before I tried it on my guitar. "--- 1- For use for mag signal prep for VDI output. 2- Except for any minute difference between VDI cable and TRS cable. 3- Doesn't look like it. One is a digitally Modeled signal, the other one isn't. Modeled signal will be different than a mag going through unprocessed. " I compensate with a compressor and EQ block. " --- that works well.
  20. Check with our service partner Yamaha Europe in Rellingen, Germany.
  21. Or log a support ticket with Line 6. Getting it serviced in Germany may be a challenge.
  22. Cotton swab and 99% isopropyl alcohol,... drip onto the saddle assembly, let it work itself in, then blow it out with canned air. Repeat as needed. The saddle acts as a chassis ground for the piezo, so if dust or debris gets i there, it can result in intermittent connecting.
  23. Hmmm,... those numbers would be way outside the number range of the afore mentioned early units. Don't know if the fret slots are sawed by hand or machine. Diameter = 4-40, conic point Thread = 3/16" (4.6mm) UNC thread spec Length = 6.35mm Hex Head = 1.27mm, my tool is a H1.3 Hex Tip Since we sell worldwide, most of our specs are in metric. Though a number of the one sheet brochures display in inches.
