  1. I take two heads into a dual cab and don't pan them all the way L/R. I find it's richer and at the same time maybe more subtle. Depends on the use though. Also, just a few ms of o% feedback 100% wet delay on one side... THICK
  2. You had a rack without control and now you got Control? your life... about to change... for the better...
  3. Yup. This is why I create a patch that gets me two choices of delay, clean and crunch through the same amp on one foot switch, and an added dirt pedal (usually Timmy or Klon). Stick in one or two modulation choices and I'm good to go for pretty much any song. SOME songs require something special and weird. But not all do.
  4. 1. Assign the looper to a footswitch. 2. Press the switch and you will go to looper controls. 3. Press Exit and you will be back where you came from. The only stupid question is the one that is never asked.
  5. I always do me tones. Because I’m me. And if i try to be Eddie Van Halen, it will go badly. It goes less badly if i try to be the Edge, but it goes best when I try to be me. Only played in a true “cover†band for a little while, but have worked in music in the church which is often a kind of “cover bandâ€. I always look to sound like me in that case, too, though.
  6. Returns should be right. I have no problems with a preamp-equipped guitar into either Aux or Return 1. I think there's something wrong with the guitar or the cable coming in.
  7. Nope. I still have an old (but GOOD) Marantz that has it. very cool.
  8. Yes, it is. Don't find it as often now, but it used to be on a LOT of home stereos.
  9. Here... Don't worry, I have more...
  10. If you like the feel of a toe switch, for wah or something like that, there’s a mission pedal with a toe switch that you can buy that connects with two jacks to Helix Rack (or Control). One TS cable for the toe switch and one for the EXP. It is the only pedal you can use like that unless you make one I guess.
  11. There is a fix for this. It’s not the only app suffering this way in windows 10.
  12. imho, yes. The increase in RAM will matter longer than the slight extra speed will.
  13. It will work great! I use acoustic guitars into Return 1 all the time and get good sounds. Actually I do both at once. https://pietrosquared.wordpress.com/helix-2-voice-guitar/
  14. I do wish the admins here would be more heavy handed on stuff like this from time to time.
  15. GO WITH THE 3GHZ! And go ahead to 16G RAM. Then you will be future proof enough that you will get more years out of the machine. And if you build your own Hackintosh you are violating license agreements. Not ethical imho, and maybe not legal.
  16. Okay, I acknowledge that you, and you alone, have made the most sought after tone in history. Now will you go away...?
  17. Here's some reading material when you get a chance... https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/your-online-secrets/201409/internet-trolls-are-narcissists-psychopaths-and-sadists
  18. I think there's a real market for something like this, myself. M9 chassis or similar size. Maybe a touch smaller if possible. Just one path. Limited amps is okay, but probably not necessary to save money. No IR loading if that saves any money. limited display. Only one in, TRS balanced 1/4" outs, maybe one loop but seriously, not even that. Headphone output. ONE EXP jack.
  19. We'll get the new update as soon as you nail the Andy Summers tone with what you have now.
  20. The tone sounds fine I guess. It's your tone that's always been the issue.
