Are you using the leslie with your amp cab turned OFF? That's important. I like the Leslie (especially the Fender and the 145) effects a LOT.
-
This is what I do, and I set a foot controller to change the speed of the leslie, too.

Running Helix live to an amp and direct to PA at the same time
PeterHamm replied to guitarbro96's topic in Helix
You can do this. I wouldn't. here's why. Love your audience. If you hear something totally different on stage from what they hear out there, you have little to no control about how good your amp sounds to the audience. so... either run through the guitar cabinet and mike it, or craft sounds that sound good to you through an FRFR. imho, ymmv, yadda yadda yadda... -
Best solution. Full stop. (imho) Put the current generation SPX verbs (and maybe some of the other stuff - Symphonic Chorus anyone?) into this box somehow... Is it on ideascale?
-
It's not in there. Helix Editor is a remote app anyway, I think you'd want to look at the unit. This sounds like a job for a decent clip-on tuner to me. I always have one around.
-
Or (god forbid)... disdain...
-
Easy. On Helix, create two paths, one is mags (you'll get that LP sound from the magnetics), the other the models (obviously using the strat model). Have either a footswitch or EXP toggle between them, or set it up so you can have both at the same time if you want. You can have each path have its own amp, then either have each path have its own cab or they could even share a cab (or dual cab if you want). Could be an amazing sound!

I doubt it... because. If it's truly a "remote control" then they'd have to write a completely different program to make it work offline I bet. And I'd rather they modeled all the Whizbangs we've been asking for, frankly...
-
They don't usually tell us about new models coming until just before, and sometimes not even then. So, nobody knows...

Multiple Assign Effect on more than 1 footswitch.

My FRFR is an 8" speaker with a coax driver. Not bassy at all and sound doesn't change as you move. Perfect to me.

we cross-posted, brother...!

by "feature complete" I think we're talking about the editor. They've hinted at stuff they want to do, and have been modeling amps we don't know about yet... there's definitely more coming. The Editor was front burner till it got out of beta, now it will be out... bring on the rest!

I for one wish it went back into stomp mode.
-
I HATE when that happens...
-
I think copy-and-paste is coming to the editor. Pretty sure that DI said that this is one of the things that will be necessary for them to no longer call it "beta", but two patches on screen at the same time? I don't think that's coming. fwiw, I bet that copying blocks from one patch to another will be way easier on the unit than the editor... but then there's that "oh my aching back" issue...

I am pretty sure that buffered output is ONLY what comes in the 1/4" guitar input. You could use a send, but I already know you are using all of those with H9s (no, I'm not jealous... not even a little bit...) I'm guessing you're using all your paths, if not, you could set up one to go only to 1/4" and your mains to go only to XLR or something like that... unless you are doing surround (I wouldn't be surprised... but I still want a video tour of your rig, man... really really BAD...)

Put 2 blocks under 1 footswitch On/off at the same time?
PeterHamm replied to navyhippie's topic in Helix
you can go even further. On most of my patches, I have a footswitch that 1. Changes the Drive, tone and output volume of the amp 2. changes the delay mix of two delays at the same time. 3. changes reverb parameters (sometimes) and 4. turns on another drive pedal. I also typically use the Leslie 145 in scenarios where one footswitch turns on the Leslie and turns off the amp cab.- 4 replies

Ah... I don't know about that second point. Let us know what you find out, though!
-
Good LORD... all in mono? I would think you could, if you needed, control it all with Control, but I see your point. I need to see a video of your rig and how it works, man... because I'm the kind of guy who thinks that a fourth EXP is NOT overkill...

Have you tried setting up one patch per song and turn the FX you need on and off instead? Might work better. If you have it set up with every patch, you can change the behavior to "global" in global parameters (don't have my helix right here to see where that is) and when you go to a new patch, the volume is set to where you have the knob.

Best way to set up Master Volume pedal for gigging?
PeterHamm replied to ricksteruk's topic in Helix
Stereo volume pedal would do it... -
What all are you going to integrate alongside Helix in your rig? Control might be your best option. The way it works with Helix Rack is simply extraordinary.
