  1. LEVEL would boost the total output of the effect, wet and dry. Use Snapshots to control the wet/dry/level settings to get what you're after.
  2. Same same, bagel chains rule. You'll also look long and hard for a good pastrami sandwich. In part because there's no good rye bread. Want a meatball hero? Can you spell S-U-B-W-A-Y? EEEWW!!! Sausage/veal cutlet/chicken parm/egg plant hero? FUGGEDDABOUT IT! A proper old-fashioned deep fried Calzone? As I typed that my neighbor's arteries constricted. OTOH, if you're into healthy salads, burritos and PHO......
  3. You might also go into Globals and set the BIG KNOB to 1/4". This way FOH gets a consistent UNITY GAIN signal on the XLRs, and you can control your monitors (if you're using them) with the BIG KNOB. Although the BIG KNOB set full on is also UNITY GAIN, there's always a chance that it could get accidentally changed during a performance, which would not be good if it's controlling the FOH feed.
  4. Although I'd never noticed it, I tried a couple of different delays after a couple of different clean amps (in my Helix Floor). I didn't notice a volume drop, but, just like in the "real" world, different delays do color the tone in their own ways. Could be this is what you're perceiving as "tone suck"? Attenuated highs can also cause a perception of volume drop. Some of the delays have tone controls, you might try adding back some highs. An eq before or after the delay might also work. Also, is there an impedance setting on the HXFX? Somewhere there's a chart of the impedance that the various effects expect to see, since they're mostly modeled on stomp boxes, that might be a factor. Ah! There it is. Attached! All I can think of right now. Helix Effect Impedance Chart.xlsx
  5. I was born in NYC. I escaped with demons hot on my trail. If you see an opening, RUN! It's better out here, but keep in mind, the pizza SUCKS!
  6. The whole point of the system standardization is to prevent that. At least, that's my understanding from what the L6 guys have been saying over on TGP. Let us pray......
  7. You could put an A/B box between the HX OUT and the AA, with the B side connected to the second input of the FRFR (if it has one). Still gotta turn off the FX Loop Blocks though....
  8. No. The guys I play with are saving up for a Helix or a Fractal or a KPA. Tell your GP what kind of tube amp you want him to buy you (be sure it has an FX Loop for the HXS), and be sure he understands that he'll be carrying it for you and replacing tubes as necessary. Or, you could just buy a tube amp. Just be sure to ask your GP's GF what color amp she'd like you to get.....
  9. Wasn't that a line from The Godfather, The Sopranos, Good Fellas? One of those mob flicks. Maybe all of them. Yep. You da BOSS alright! Thanks. The monkey don't get enough love!
  10. We need a poll function here. What will we get first in Edit - A local weather feed or Spikey's tuner?
  11. Your point is very clear. You're the BOSS, and you're angry that L6 isn't giving you what you want, and even angrier that you can't fire them. BUT YOU CAN! Show those lazy unprofessional L6 monkeys the door by buying a Fractal! That'll show 'em! Teach 'em how a proper troll.......errr, BOSS, handles ungrateful employees!
  12. In the Helix thread on TGP this has been stated multiple times by multiple "In the Know" L6 reps.......TL;DR?
  13. Summary to this point: "Where's my update. L6 owes me!" "I think L6 should provide update status reports weekly/daily/hourly. They owe me! They're SO unprofessional!" "I think L6 should just keep quiet and not say anything until the updates they owe me are done! And they'd better be quick about it! They're SO unprofessional!" "You think my illogical and/or self-contradictory posts are invalid because you're all a bunch of nasty L6 fanbois!" "Shut up and play yer guitar!" I'm in that last group.....
  14. Legally and morally dodgy. Sorry.
  15. You read manuals??? How quaint!
  16. AH! "Turn key, start car. ATTENTION! Key will only start THIS car!"
  17. Your lawn ROCKS!
  18. OH NO! GOOGLE FAILED ME! .hir came up as a Commodore 64 HiRES graphics file type. I still haven't figured out the purpose of the Marketplace. With all the billions of IRs out there, why would anyone want to buy an IR that can only be used on an L6 product? I don't get it. A money thing?
  19. Again, info over on TGP, that was announced by DI at NAMM as being included in 2.8. The whole list of ANNOUNCED features is there. We can ALWAYS speculate on surprise goodies though......
  20. .hir is a graphics file type. .wav is an audio file type. I imagine that it could be done via Philosopher's Stone.
  21. Over on TGP, there's a 2.8 update thread and the Helix MEGA thread. IF L6 chooses to release any info on updates, that's where it happens. Latest word is that it's in the hands of the Beta testers and, barring major problems, will be out soon. That's all, folks!
