  1. Great! Yes, I would like to hear it, please send! (I'll give you my info)
  2. It depends on what you are doing. Smaller buffers allow lower latency for critical timing during recording and monitoring. Larger buffers are higher latency, but allow for more processing of plugins and effects during playback. Feel free to move the bar, if necessary, for each process. If you hear pops/clicks, then move it a step towards larger to compensate for your system's capabilities.
  3. The FBV MkII Shortboard only handles DATA, no AUDIO, so you cannot connect typical pedals like WAH, Distortion, etc... WAH pedals are traditionally used before the Preamp, in this case, Guitar->WAH->Front Input of AMP. However, that means you will need to power the WAH (fresh battery), and have two guitar cables connected. That's more things to keep track of, but may be worth it for the sound of a real Cry Baby. On the HD100 MkII Head, You could use the rear panel Preamp Out (to WAH input), Power Amp IN (to WAH output), but that's more like an Effects Loop. It will work, but might not sound right. Consider whether you really need two separate pedals for volume and WAH. Before deciding, give the built in WAH's on the head a listen. You can dial in a few different types, and can control minimum/maximum WAH levels (The Line6 SV MKII Edit software makes this easy when using a computer). If you like it, you may want to change to a FBV MkII Longboard (which has 2 pedals, one for volume, one for WAH).
  4. Good to know! Thanks for posting the resolution.
  5. I haven't seen that behavior before, but try disconnecting any FBV foot pedal and plug the power adapter into a different power source to attempt to isolate the issue.
  6. My Monkey is working in USA (v1.71).
  7. It seems like Shure SM58 Mic for vocals would have been included considering how prevalent they are used on so many live stages.
  8. I'm pretty sure you mean 'with chorus', but I'm going to create a new patch called 'Wig Chorus', because that just sounds awesome!
  9. I've had to disable volume control on the pedal for all my patches for this very reason. In a party band sometimes the stage has a lot of movement going on with players and fans. The pedal can easily get pushed around by cables or feet.
  10. True, my solution is more of a backup, didn't mean to hijack your original thread, but it is somewhat related. Thanks for clarifying.
  11. I agree. I actually have two black POD HD Desktop beans on the same account (one used as a backup for gigs), and followed that process. Metal pack works on both!
  12. I'm using POD HD with FBV Shortboard. At the very end of the chain, I put FX Model:Studio EQ, FX Type:Pre-EQ, Overall Gain +4db (depending on tone, sometimes slightly different db). For FBV Shortboard, assign it to footswitch 1 (FS1 -corresponds to STOMP button), but save it in the OFF position. That way when you hit STOMP you get that Lead Boost without sacrificing a precious A,B,C or D tone for the bank.
  13. My 'pro coverage' is actually an extra POD HD with my same tones loaded, a smaller FBV Express Mk2, and extra ethernet cable that I bring to the gigs just in case. I realize that's another expense, but it's not bad considering how portable it is compared to the pre-modeling days.
  14. I specifically separate tone modules from controller (POD HD + FBV Shortboard). The main reason is some gigs come with front row fans that spill drinks. The Helix Rack solution would fit my requirements, but right now, $500 just for the controller is not compatible with said drinks.
  15. I use Pitch Glide to manually set the pitch for patches that need to be a half step down (for example Running with the Devil - Van Halen) and %100 mix pitched signal. Maybe that effect will work for 435hz (just use a tuner while you step down the pitch?).

    Helix FAQ

Two Helix questions: 1) Are the LCDs bright enough to easily see for daytime/outdoor bright sunny gigs? 2) Does it have spillover capability? (1 patch has delay, change to 2nd patch and still hear spillover delay trail from first patch)
  17. I think it depends on what you will use it for. I use my TS110A with POD HD for rehearsals and jams, or with PA as a monitor. However, if you need mains for outside or clubs, then go with TS112A or similar.
  18. I also just purchased an Alto TS110A to use with my POD HD for jams, rehearsals, and small gigs. I use the global EQ to make it sound right. That is an extremely versatile powered speaker!
  19. Great work there, congrats! I'm glad I went for the full pack of HD amp models so I can try this tone.
  20. Dutchguitarist, Thanks for the audio file. In the recording, the acoustic patch seems thin. Maybe that's what amsdenj is detailing here. I like your vintage eq sound the best.
  21. I found my tones leveled out much better if I used a small amount of tube compressor or fuzz before the amp in each patch. I also test them at a decent volume with a FBV shortboard and they still work well at gig volume.
  22. Before the amp, I use a very low setting of either a tube compressor, or fuzz. It colors the sound a tad, but takes the bite off and makes it more musical when playing live.
  23. Spaceatl, thank you for the detailed clarification, good info!
  24. What have you tried to resolve the issue? Help us help you.
  25. It saddens me to see these experiences. A lot of us L6 customers use this gear on the weekends for business, and we need it to work. If it doesn't, then we need support to help. L6, please support customers on the weekends. The needs of your business demands it.
