Or a capo since you want things two steps up ;)

Okay, I remember having this conversation in another thread. Idk what was happening before, but I've got it to be transparent now. So please disregard my past hate on the MFEQ

I don't really like the mid Focus EQ. It alters the tone waaay too much, rather than just chopping off the high and low bits

Next firmware update.. Lol... That's funny But really, there's nothing to fix. Its not meant to be polyphonic. Maybe get a Variax?

HD500X Amp Model Tones/EQ(first plug in with the Band.)
AlexKenivel replied to Old-Rocker's topic in POD HD
Plugging a Pod into the front end of a guitar amp seems like the hardest way to make the modeling sound good. You guys have a PA or another amp with an FX Return? -
the "right" way I was referring to was simply being the first effect in the chain, but yeah, within its limits sounds good too
-
The tracking for the pitch glide, when used right, is very good but not great. IME it can track power chords and single notes no problem, start character to a chord and things get funky.
-
If you've turned down the master volume on the pod and this still happens, then it's probably not the pod

I see. I personally like a little more wattage than that, and my speakers' 800w seems more than enough so far. Looks like you've found the way to go

I've gigged with a Carvin DCM series poweramp and Carvin guitar cabs, but not my own PA monitor yet. I have played direct into a pubs house PA as well but I can't remember what kind it was. I know there were 15s as well as 12s. In that band, the music that I was playing was the usual drivel from the late 90s to early 00s (high gain/screaming) but it was a three piece as well (no other guitar sound to stand up next to) so things sounded fine

so now I'm trying to figure out your name.. It may start with a Y.. Yancy? or maybe you like Yamaha pianos a lot..
-
I run an XLR to my Alto TS112a and it reaches massive volumes. How many watts is the ASM?
-
Well you definitely can. Personally, I'll take a clean Class D amplifier with enough headroom over A tube poweramp. No breakup at higher volumes for a more consistent sound
-
Honestly I know nothing about an HD400 as I've never had one, but I can definitely help you with your 5 year old. I have a few of those
-
It's been so long I honestly can't remember. :D I just know mines the exact same UN/PW.
-
I thought the forums were a part of line 6 support..
-
Also, you already have an account. Take a guess what your username is (hint: it's not "Just Startin'")
-
I'd get a small cheap mixer and run both pod and iPad into separate channels, then out to FOH. Now you can control both volumes. Plan B would be a different sound guy..
-
I had no idea you could place the amp after the mixer. I've never tried

There's nothing I've seen or read about the Helix that makes it worth the extra $1k for me
-
I've been using dual amps from the get go and just because there's some phase cancellation somewhere in the spectrum, doesn't always make the tone sound bad. In fact, I phase low out some of the harsh bottom end of the PV Panama with the Big Bottom amp. By itself, the way I have the BB set up sounds strange, but really smooths out the PVP

Check your usb port. Is the black cube in the middle of the port like it is supposed to be? I accidentally took that center piece out when I unplugged my usb cable once, exposing the four prongs and subsequently bending one of them, causing my device to do the same thing.

wait, you're in a city called sandwich?

I did tons of reading before I got my unit. I was still lost by the time I got it. I still find myself a little lost at times but it takes some physical time with it to get real comfy. I used it at a gig the week I got it and did pretty well..

I have this problem sometimes. Try opening the edit program before connecting the USB cable. If you already do that, do it reverse. Works for me usually
