  1. If line6 haven't designed it to use a mic, I don't think you will get if to work. I use a ux1 with a phantom power unit that powers my condenser mic. I've seen a few older posts saying that they got some results with the gx with a mix with a regular dynamic mic. My second hand ux1 only cosy $80 from eBay.
  2. Do you have another mic to test if it is your mic that is the issue? Similarly, alternate mic chord and jack convertor, to test if they are faulty. I'm at my limit of expertise, unless some one else has any ideas, you might be best to contact line6, via a support ticket.
  3. Is it just the mic you're having trouble with? Does it work with a guitar plugged in? If it works with an instrument plugged in, I don't see why it wouldn't work. What mic are you using? Have you added a preamp/ vocal preset in podfarm? I use the same power unit to power my condenser and it works fine, it still needs a preamp applying in podfarm.
  4. You would need to upgrade to podfarm platinum to have everything. You can purchase model pack licenses that add a few more bits, but platinum is the way forward. Here's a link to the model packs; https://uk.line6.com/modelPacks/
  5. I'm sure you can. The ux is just an interface, you don't need a line6 device to use podfarm. The license for podfarm comes with a ux/gx, but it's not exclusive to it. I use podfarm on my second pc without any line6 interface, it works with a license manager system
  6. I don't think there is much support for podfarm and later operating systems now helix native is out. I have things working right now and have switched off updates. It seems they want us to move over to helix. It might be best to open a support ticket with line6, if anyone kniws5, it should be them.
  7. You could always open up a support ticket, via your account page, at line6.com They will be the best people to answer you. I haven't encountered many problems so far, so unless it's pretty basic, I can't help much
  8. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/usb-audio-troubleshooting-r443 Give the usb troubleshooting guide a go, that may help. Do you use Windows 10? Some have trouble with Windows 10, some can get it sorted, some can't.
  9. Are you using a pod through the ux1? Or podfarm? It sounds like you haven't set your device in Windows yet. Is the problem in a DAW? Try all the things on the usb troubleshooting guide here. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/usb-audio-troubleshooting-r443
  10. I had a similar issue when I purchased power pack and metal shop licences. Have you tried reinstalling all the drivers? Monkey said that they were all up to date, but reinstalling them all anyway fixed my problem.
  11. You could try a fresh install. Delete the drivers and reinstall and then try this once you've installed. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/macos-high-sierra-1013-driver-installation-change-r879
  12. I use my ux1 with a cheap neewer power supply off eBay. The mic goes in to the unit, then out to the ux1, so I can't why it wouldn't work.
  13. Perhaps take a screenshot of your license manager/line6 monkey and show us. Is it pod farm that's the issue? Or your install?
  14. Do you mean you can't set up the ux2 and podfarm hardware/drivers? Or setting up podfarm to be for playing/recording? Do you use Windows or Mac? Here's a video made by line6 to help set up the hardware/drivers
  15. What mic are you using? Does it require phantom power? What interface are you using? Do you use podfarm as a plug in in a DAW or stand alone mode?

  17. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/macos-high-sierra-1013-driver-installation-change-r879 Give this a try
  18. Thanks for clearing that up. Looks like I'm using the Vetta for solos and tid bits after all! The podfarm interface is much easier than programming the Vetta, but it's not a real issue.
  19. So podfarm does pretty much everything I want it to do, bar feedback when holding the long high notes at the end of a riff Does anyone know of a setting for this? Or is that a limitation that reamping has?
  20. You could try uninstalling the last typical Windows update, while this is addressed by line6 (assuming they know about it). You can find tutorials on how to do it easily online
  21. If you want a response from line6, you're better off opening a support ticket with them, via your account page on line6.com. Your installed podfarm already has the whole effect/amps downloaded, you just can't use them without buying more model packs or the platinum license. You just need to purchase the podfarm platinum license or individual model packs. again you will need to be logged in at line6.com to purchase and activate it via the line6 account manager that you should have installed on your pc. I don't think there will be anymore updates for podfarm, if you want more choice, and want to stay with line6, you might be best to check out helix native, the successor to podfarm.
  22. You might be best to ask line6 directly, via support ticket on your account page. I dont think they check this user forum very often
  23. Log in to your account at line6.com. then it's under the hardware and software section of your account page. Make sure you select the right device and copy the serial correctly. I had toneport ux1 selected instead of podstudio ux1 selected, it took me hours of agonising before I realised!
  24. You will have to register your pod. Either using the line6 license manager or log into your account at line6.com, under the hardware and software section.
