  1. It might be worth opening asupport ticket with line 6 before buying a replacement.
  2. Mine is a second hand unit, and I have the option to download cubase. Either the previous owner didn't use the download, or it can be downloaded and used as long as you have the device registered.
  3. You purchased the model packs through your account, right? So the license to use them would be with your account, not the ux2, the ux2 you have only comes with the license for podfarm, fx junkie model pack and cubase le. I don't have any thoughts to offer on why it's gone dead or what to try, but if it is broken, you can pick a second hand unit up pretty cheap and still use your model packs
  4. Do you have the red and black toneport ux1 or the all black podstudio ux1? They both come with different things. Once you've registered your device at line6.com,and registered the computer that you are using the ux1 with, via the line6 device manager, log in to your account at line6.com on the computer and you should find a link for downloading cubase.
  5. The podstudio ux1 comes with podfarm 2.5 and cubase le.
  6. Perhaps it's a dodgy install? I would try to remove and reinstall first.
  7. Have you created an account on line6.com and registered your device to your account?
  8. Have you connected your speakers/headphones into the ux2? Or still in the old inputs? You will need to set your mac settings to use the ux2. Click the link and dance download the podfarm basic user guide and check section 2-8
  9. Could it be something as simple as audio input settings in Presonus? If you have ran monkey and everything is fine, it makes me think it's your settings inside the DAW
  10. A good place to start is the audio troubleshoot; http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/usb-audio-troubleshooting-r443 Load line6 monkey andmake sure all your ticks are green
  11. They should be ample for good sound. I have a logitec z533 2.1 and they sound as good as my head phones. How are they connected to your interface?
  12. Could just keep the volume on your guitar at a lower setting for recording, say 7. Im not very experienced myself, I had trouble with clipping before I used podfarm, recording through my amp and directly into my internal soundcard(very primative,I know). But a bit or practice with podfarm has massively improved things
  13. Just double check your mac audio settings again. Check them against the podfarm recording set up guide, available to download here, chapters 2-1 onwards. http://uk.line6.com/support/manuals/podxtpro/ When you select your input in garage band, do you get any input signal at all(the meter next to your track)? I don't know much about garage band, so just double check against this youtube tutorial. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_bQ3ZamDpWo It's not an easy hobby to start, I've only been doing it a couple of years myself, it's quite daunting. Lots of hours figuring things out. But podfarm made things a lot easier for me once I got used to it.
  14. May I ask why you wouldn't use podfarm? If you have had it working using podfarm, why not just use a simple preamp/compressor set up in stand alone.
  15. There is a direct input signal knob that you can turn up on the podfarm mixer view, or the top left hand corner of the main panel, there's a volume control for the input signal, that might help boost the signal. You could set up a simple fx chain including a preamp and a compressor/noise gate.
  16. You should get a licence to use podfarm with both the gx and the ux2. Have you registered your new laptop to one of your devices on your account page? In the same way, I can't download podfarm tones on any other computer other than the one my ux1 is registered to.
  17. I had this trouble when registering my device. I was inputting the correct number, but I had toneport ux1 selected instead of podstudio ux1. It took me a whole day of stress before I figured it out.
  18. It's the same for me in cubase, but there is the option for podfarm there too under the line6 section of the vst inserts. Perhaps you can use podfarm in stand alone mode and go directly in via your interface?
  19. The only thing I can think of is adjusting your power settings, according to the usb troubleshooting guide, this can cause performance issues . Other than that, I think you may have to open a dialogue with line6 directly, via a support ticket, found on your account page as your log in to your account at line6.com
  20. The plug ins don't rely on the audio interface as such, they just work with whateve sound the interface has recorded. Is the sound fine before you apply podfarm to it? Have you matched the bit depth and sample rate that your are recording at in your daw to the settings to your ux1 settings? Have you ran line6 monkey yet? Also, try the audio troubleshoot, it worked for me; http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/usb-audio-troubleshooting-r443
  21. That's good to hear. It might help many people out with windows 10 issues
  22. I have never used gearbox, but I assume that podfarm is an upgrade from gearbox. Much like helix is an upgrade from podfarm. Podfarm 2 is just an improved version of podfarm 1 I believe. When I installed my ux1 it installed both podfarm and podfarm 2, but I've only ever used podfarm 2.
  23. You need to log in to your account at line6.com and register your ux1. The download option for cubase and podfarm should be on your account page.
