  1. You can bypass line6 monkey by downloading your drivers and updates via the software section at line6.com. Monkey does make it easier, when it works. This is a user's forum, so help might not be fast or totally helpful. I imagine you have tried contacting line6 by means of a support ticket? I've never had to use one myself, so I can't comment on that.
  2. You might need to select the line6 drivers in your DAW after a fresh install.
  3. I would try it with antivirus/firewalls/ad blockers disabled, first. Then if still no luck, open a support ticket with line6 at line6.com, log in to your account page and then start a support ticket from there.
  4. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/hear-own-voice-from-the-computer-while-using/b0d8df82-c94c-43b2-869c-badc9dd6be58 Have a look here on how to find it
  5. Are you using Windows? In my sound settings, Windows was monitoring it and playing it back. Somewhere in the sound settings in control panel
  6. I downloaded the 9.5 trial when I purchased my second ux. I couldn't get podfarm to work on it, so I went back to 5
  7. Some solve the Windows 10 issue with manual driver update. Log on to your account at line6.com and then navigate to the downloads section.
  8. If you would like line6's direct help, you need to log in to your account at line6.com and open a support ticket. This is just a user's forum where people lend a hand
  9. I don't think it's possible with the spider. If you were to get a Podstudio ux2, you could plug your amp and microphone separately into the ux2's inputs and then record using the ux2 drivers in cubase. Bundled with the ux2 is podfarm, which would be good for the vocals.
  10. Perhaps try to reinstall the drivers manually. https://line6.com/software/index.html Select your device, OS and drivers in the software menu.
  11. Windows 10 causes a lot of troubles with podfarm, most new problems are because of it. I don't think the support is there now Helix is here. I would suggest going back to Windows 7. The drivers are stable.
  12. You might be best to open a support ticket with line6. Log in to your account at line6.com and find the support ticket section there.
  13. When you load podfarm plug in interface within your DAW, there is an input volume dial on the top left hand corner. have you tried that?
  14. I would defiantly go for a ux, ux2 if you have the budget. I cheaped out and got the ux1 and ended up having to buy a separate phantom power supply to power my condensor mic. I previously recorded via a sub channel mixer, plugging my amp directly in to the computers soundcard, via the channel mixer. The sound quality was miles behind the ux and latency was an issue. As the hobby progresses, I think you will be glad you chose an external sound card. You can pick them up pretty cheap second hand from ebay. I've purchased both of my ux from eBay.
  15. It's not a guitar only input. I regularly send the signal signal from my Vetta, via the xlr output, into the instrument input of the ux.
  16. I always thought multi-tracking eliminates the need for a loop pedal. Using it for live work is where I would use it.
  17. If it is playback troubles, try this troubleshooting guide.
  18. If it's trouble with High Sierra, have a look at this. It may help
  19. If you want help from line6 directly, go to your account page at line6.com and open a support ticket. This is a user forum. People help out where they can, but might not always the able to.
  20. Have you got podfarm, or something similar, installed? If so, if you are still getting signal through in stand alone mode, that would eliminate the possibility of the trouble being with the ux itself. That would be a good place to start.
  21. Ok then. If you plug some speakers straight in to the ux2 and the volume is fine, it's not an issue with the output of the ux2 i would say. It would be something further down the chain. It would be best to check that first, to see if it is the unit or not.
