looks great... how's the new amp working out with the 4 cable method? I'm thinking of a 1x12 combo tube amp for jams and would use 4cm with it. Are you digging this setup?

Suggestions For Using A Chorus To Imitate Double Tracking?

so putting it in the post section at 50% mix gives you the same thing but with better results? I will check it out... thanks! -
Suggestions For Using A Chorus To Imitate Double Tracking?
radatats replied to briandshelby's topic in POD HD
with a single amp patch, place a digital delay set at 20-34 ms, 100% mix, in path A, nothing path B and you will get that double track effect... keep mixer panned left and right... -

Ok so place the reverb in the Pre position and the FX loop in the post position and that should solve the problem... :D

Dt25 Topology 1,2 And 3 Are Acting Like Topology 1

no, only third party but the link I shared above is stickied to the DT forum. DT Edit is dead simple for Windows and works great. -
Well, not exactly... there are no mono reverbs in the HD. However, the reverbs are not true stereo either. Just for clarification sake before there are a million new posts asking WTF? Check out the below link to the full table of stereo/mono features for all effects... http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects/m5-m9-m13/stereomono-fx-routing-table-r127

Since you are already connected with MIDI download the DT Edit software from the link below and set up your head the way you want it... http://line6.com/support/topic/124-user-created-dt-editors/ -
Good call Phil, I didn't understand that myself before. I thought the reverb was true stereo but its actually not... here is the link to the full table for all M series effects... http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects/m5-m9-m13/stereomono-fx-routing-table-r127

no offense intended but some folks just can't make it work no matter what... I don't understand because I have none of these issues. I don't know if it is in the approach to how you build patches or trying to force the gear to do something it wasn't meant to do, physical setup problems or what... oh well, there's always new stuff to buy and complain about! LOL...
-
at least we have a strong active community of users willing to contribute and help each other... check out the Digitech, Zoom, Boss forums and be glad you are here... and don't think their gear doesn't have issues either...
-
last thought, did you check the Studio/Dual switch on the back? Make sure it is in Studio... I know the 300 sends mono in Dual but the 400 isn't as clear in the manual...
-
Is the FX loop/H9 the very last thing in your chain? Is there anything after the FX loop that could possibly be turning the signal to mono? I understnd what the H9 is supposed to do but is there any way you can verify that it is actually doing what you think it is? ie. sending it's output to a stereo amp rather than back into the POD just to be sure it is actually creating the audible stereo effect you want? Just ideas...

yeah, last week some time I actually got my hopes up when an actual "Product Specialist" started posting and answered a couple of noob questions... however, nothing followed and that seems to have died a quick and silent death...
-
great idea, but sadly, I expect there would be a ton of unanswered questions... even worse, and we are to blame for this, a million duplicate questions from users too (dumb/lazy/inexperienced/technically challenged) to actually read the manuals or search or read the forums/knowledge base for an answer before vowing never to by another Line 6 product unless someone immediately answers their question...

with the DT in stand alone the topo switches do not change the topo! they change the preamp/cab assigned to that switch position so you get whatever settings that preamp has... you can reset it if you wish but you should try DT Edit with a USB to midi cable to see what you actually have assigned to each position... -
OK so I tried this out today. Connected the Pod to the FX return and the DT to my PA speakers. Changing topology switch definitely still affects power section configuration. Tones designed for the DT sounded fine (pre models only) but full amp tones designed for FRFR sounded like crap, too much drive, boomy, not usable. Bottom line, I would still need to make a full set of tones just for the DT separate from my FRFR set. Defeats the purpose. I will stick to the L6 link and keep my FRFR rig separate. I actually love both setups... hard to really pick a favorite. Waiting for the KXD12 to be released, I have one on order. If it is as good as it looks I am getting two and just might sell the DT... Much easier to take the KXD12, HD500 and JTV to a gig than dragging the DT and a 2X12 cab... We'll see...

knob function is tied more to the particular pre model assigned than to the topology setting. Are you using the DT stand alone or with the POD? If stand alone, then changing the topology switch changes the actual preamp assigned to that switch. Have you updated all firmware? Have you tried DT Edit to setup the assignments in your DT? So much more info is needed to even take a stab at helping you out here... -
what model? what doesn't work? where are you located?
-
so from other threads i see you bypass all the controls on the DT when you go straight in to the DT FX return. Is it still possible to control or change the topology of the power section? If you change the topo switch on the DT it should still load whatever preamp/cab/power amp settings you have set, right? Interesting idea as I mostly use topo III anyways... Might save a lot of work building new patches for the DT all the frigging time...
