that's a sweet looking amp... I like the tweed. I've seen them on the local CL, for 400-500$ here as well. It's amazing how quickly gear loses it's value... gotta love the used market though.

they still make them and the price is still way too far out for me.. (@1200$USD) I picked this up in a trade, and have FAR less than that in it.

I do this, by using a pod... the battery is just like a balance weight in my variax :D plugged up 100% of the time (weeks into months...)

the bridge is completely different on the 59, so for that reason alone, I hadn't even considered it. they may fit a 69, but i'm not convinced that's true either (dont have one)

don't blame you there... i'd have spent the 100$ towards a used pod xt live or something myself... the interface is priced on the high side.

sounds like you've isolated it. is it under warranty or can you get an exchange?

might be your pc/mac i wouldnt say 100% hardware at this point.

the variax cable itself is just a cat5 network cable.... you need either the workbench interface or a pod... the interface will come with the cable. but for a pod you can use standard cat5 to get workbench going.

yeah, it should be loud if you're going through a plugin of any kind generally.

here's where i see it.

it's normal , because the input signal is left dry and as input. this is to give you the overhead to use the amps and effects in pod farm later.... it's not typically fed to a guitar amp... usually to monitors/headphones or computer speakers.

I do see where RSS is part of the software (lower left small orange square) but it doesn't appear to be configured for independent forums... or much of anything really...

Workbench is software that allows you to edit the guitar models. it's possible that someone turned that string off... and if that's not the case (pretty unlikely really) workbench offers ways to boost strings etc and maybe compensate for lower volume. you can get the piezos from line6 directly usually (in and out of stock sometimes) but some users have used piezo issues as an excuse to upgrade to the graphtech ghost saddles.

My latest acquisition: Roland JC-120 80's version, made in japan. got tired of waiting for this one to be modeled... what do i think ... wow! built like a tank, and sounds great! it sure is nice having an amp that i can just flip the switch and start playing too :)

Last i heard, they do intend to migrate documents etc... and come up with a better archival means of accessing the old forums... they just didn't want to add too much to the mix that would slow down rolling this new software out and ending the spam.

it's possible the piezo needs changed... but have you plugged it up to workbench to make sure that there is nothing funny going on there?

the fx loop is stereo, you have to use an insert cable to split it... but you CAN use it to route through 2 independent effects... provided you hard pan left and right... you can't turn them on independently though... it's all or nothing.

i would check your power management and see if its set to sleep your usb ports after a while.
