  1. You only really need Monkey for firmware updates for the products it supports. As far as the other software, you can download and install it outside of Monkey. I mean, the Vetta II is so old at this point, that there haven’t been any updates related to it in quite awhile. The audio driver is probably the last thing that was updated. Once you have the driver, you should be able to download and install Line 6 Edit, and you should be good to go.
  2. Go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo and set MIDI PC Tx to Off. With that parameter on, the HX Effects automatically sends the PC associated with each preset whenever you load that preset, . Your amp is responding to those PC messages. It probably just has a limited range of PC messages it responds to, and they happen to correspond with these first few presets.
  3. This is the intended behavior for the HX Snapshot and HX Preset commands. These settings apply to the whole preset.
  4. Are you using the Global EQ on the LT? The Global EQ will be applied to the XLR and 1/4" outs, but it won't affect the USB audio you record into Reaper. It also doesn't have any affect on playback from Reaper.
  5. Well, you have to be in Preset Mode in order to see the Stomp/Snap setting. Simply hit the Mode footswitch to get into Preset Mode.
  6. There shouldn’t be any signal loss or anything. I’ve done it before with Reaper, and it’s been fine. Make sure the noise gate in the Input Block on the Helix is turned off.
  7. AMPLIFi isn’t going to see any further firmware updates, at least none that add new features like this.
  8. Have you tried using different USB cables and/or ports? The other thing you could try is using Line 6 Updater to send the update.
  9. Most current Line 6 products are compatible with Catalina. There are few things that have yet to be upgraded yet, and the whole Line 6 Monkey situation will be resolved in some way (most likely Line 6 Updater will be updated to work with current products that still depend on Monkey for updates). Really, people should be more angry at Apple for dropping 32-bit support. They’re really the entity that made it impossible to use older software. Expecting companies to update 20 year old software isn’t necessarily realistic.
  10. It’s still available for download. The issue is it isn’t specifically marked as being compatible with Windows 10. I think if you select Windows 7 or 8 in the right pulldown, it should show up.
  11. Not Line 6, but why what?
  12. No, they are two separate and incompatible platforms.
  13. Workbench HD should work with Catalina. The original Workbench is 32-bit only, and will not. As far as Monkey, it's ancient software at this point. Line 6 has continued to support it only because there are a few hardware SKUs that still use it, the Variax being one of them. I'm nearly certain that instead of trying to update Monkey to 64-bit, that what Line 6 is going to do is going to make it so Line 6 Updater supports the Variax. I mean the thing with this Catalina thing is that is was entirely a decision that Apple made that caused the issue. Apple dropped 32-bit entirely with Catalina, so it's puts the burden on other companies to react. Say what you want about Windows, but Windows 10 still support 32-bit software.
  14. Try updating to the 2.91 hotfix.
  15. Not currently, no. I don't know if custom footswitch names are something that will be added in the future or not.
  16. Do you have the batteries inserted a 1/4” cable plugged into the Variax? The interface doesn’t power the guitar, so you need the 1/4” cable to turn the guitar on.
  17. What’s fragile about the DT25?
  18. You’ll need to open a support ticket : https://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html

    Powering HX Stomp

I use a Strymon Ojai to power my Stomp. I’ve seen that Cioks video, and according to the Line 6 guys, the current draw does get up to 1600mA or so under certain conditions. The one thing with that Ciokd video is he was passing audio through the pedal at all when he meters it. I think the processor power consumption will increase slightly when the processor is working harder. But anyway, these modern power bricks can almost all provide mode current than the actual jack rating given you’re not exceeding the overall capacity of the brick.
  20. You just press <PAGE or PAGE > to scroll through the various footswitch modes.
  21. What version of Windows are you running, and what DAW are you using? I use a Windows 10 PC with Native, personally.
  22. Line 6 Updater should work with fine with Catalina. What sort of issue are you having? If you're having an issue with the installer, check out this link:
