  1. I grabbed this as well. Just now playing with it. Sorry for the dumb question but what does "TDR" stand for on the IR's ?
  2. That happened to me until I installed the Ver 1.02 update, and then deleted the app and reinstalled it, and then "paired" the amp (hold Bluetooth button down) with the iPad (in the Bluetooth area) under settings. BTW- for those who have not done the 1.02 update, mine took over an hour to update so have patience!!! Hope this helps. :)
  3. Im using that pair- its awesome sauce tone wise, and I don't have to modify it's tone when using it with my Mackie 824 powered studio monitors (which are also FRFR). PLUS- just incase Helix fubars on me (it has NOT yet) I have a good sounding backup amp that is as soft and / or loud as I want it to be. Heres a clip and sounds thru the computer stuff (from the FH-1500) isn't the best- sorry...
  4. The topic is misleading so please modify it. Its not working for you and Im sorry for that part, but on my iMac its working wonderfully. Just follow datacomms instructions above ^^ and it should work ok then.
  5. Why since i read this are the black helo's flying around my house? Cru u been in my hood again? :P

    BB King

The Lab amp had such a great sounding compression! I remember playing a used one a few years ago... Great tone. Of course BB's fingers made it sound so good.
  7. Thanks... I wonder exactly how they managed that one without the same amount of DSP usage and yet sounds right too? Oh well lol... Figure that one out and there is no more need for IR's as we know it.
  8. I mangled/smashed the end of my right hand middle finger in between an 1800 pound Xray, and a wall a few years back. We were moving it the same as I had always done before for maintenance. It not cut but "blew out" the end of the finger, and caused me 4 stitches and a touchy finger on the end to this day. So- take care of those fingers boys and girls.
  9. Yea words matter PierM. What you said before and now matters so laughing wont help or change that. Same for me. And what you "add" to this discussion later matters too. Same for me. Im almost 60. Ive been playing for 47+ years and been using Line 6 since they were telling people Variax would never have alternate tunings. All that doesn't matter here. You are not the only one who has opinions, so try and remember that when you post something, and when others disagree or take offense from your replies. This place isn't about you, or me. Its about the product. And all of us want a better more powerful better sounding Helix. Im not talking down to you and mean you no disrespect. But words matter. We all want a better tuner. I want one like what Kemper has, but thats just my wish. Peace brother, and think about it. I do, all the time.
  10. Can you say where is the info is on where IR's use more DSP on Helix than the included cabs do? I haven't seen this information and assumed that the "cabs" included with Helix are nothing but IR's themselves. You are right in that they have to be reloaded after updates, and hope that gets attention soon.
  11. Just tried my old EB Volume pedal (out port) with a TS cable and Helix is playing just fine with it. Thanks for the tip Hamm. :D
  12. Ive seen this happen on my mission ESP-1 L6 Helix wah pedal, in that I get an "edit" icon on a new patch I just loaded up (with the wah block). All I do is rock the "mission" wah pedal back and forth, and then the patch saves ok and the "edit" icon disappears. If I do not move the mission pedal back and forth, there is no way to save the patch because the "edit" icon will not go away until I rock the (wah) pedal. After the 1st patch is saved, If I then switch to another patch with the "wah" block I don't have this issue. Its just the 1st one (using the above pedal and set for the Wah block) it seems after I power on Helix, that does this. Yes running latest Helix OS.
  13. Clean: US Double Verb Nrm. Im sorry but when I select it I hardly never seem to make it to the mid and high gain sounds.
  14. Ahh but can this tuner also pickup FM, shortwave radio, late night BBC and sound like a jaw harp on Hillbilly day? Well then.... ;)
  15. Mission pedals. Period. YMMV so there!
  16. You're right, and so do we when they get here! :D
  17. The editor wont run on my Commodore 64.
  18. The verbs sound ok to me as well, but then Im always for "better". That said, if you want original, go play in a real cave. ;)
  19. Theres no reason to leave it on when not in use. If you are worried about wear on the power switch, get you a RackRider power bar and use it for the on-off switch.
  20. Me, Id rather them work on just the "guitar" parts of Helix. New amps, cabs, effects. Most of your ideas are ok, but OTOH I don't want or desire a swiss army knife of other musical toys taking away from the processing abilities of a better sounding guitar processor for later. There are hundreds of drum software titles on the market, each with the ability to provide a metronome or beat available should we need or desire it. As always YMMV. :)
