I have a HD500, but amp, settings, effects will do
-
Anyone have a good slide guitar tone? It will be used for the classics ('70s) and some eagles.
-
True. It is flakey. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Save on the POD just to make sure.

You can also try to lower the middle pickup a bit and see if it makes a difference (don't forget to count the number of turns if you want to put it back to the same position)

HD500X to DT25 connection ?
moogary replied to Old-Rocker's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
Correct. Except that if you change a knob on the HD, the effect will be transferred, but the actual knob positions on the DT will remain stationary. Otherwise, the changes are bidirectional. -
If you get the HD500X, you definately need the Line 6 Link cable (or equivalent) if you want to control the amp via the 500.

Tube amp recommendations (dt25 or blackstar soloist 60 or any other)
moogary replied to ejdj's topic in Line 6 Lounge
Also, the HD500 & DT25/50 works both ways. You can select an amp and use the DT25/50 control knobs to dial in your sound and just press SAVE on the HD500 to store it for instant recall. You don't even have to use the HD500 controls for the amps (although you need it for the other effects) -
Happened only once (just after I restored my patches after update). I hope it stays that way!
-
In 5 years, it happened only once about 3 weeks ago. I have since updated to the latest firmware and hope it never happens again! Patch was overwritten by one from the Line 6 demo patches which I never go in to...

Suggest that you disable Norton, do the install, add the monkey to Norton's exception list, then re-enable Norton (work-around).

Does anyone know if there will be new DT firmware to accommodate the new amp models if you purchase the Model packs?

Anybody have a good slide guitar setting for a DT-50 and a HD500?

I paid $85 incl. tax (CAD) for the repair of 2 switches that did not activate (FS2 and Bank Up) from a line 6 authorized repair center (Yorkville Sound actually does the repair in Ontario, Canada). They replaced the contacts on the circuit board if I remember correctly. It took about 2 weeks to get the unit back.

Different sounds when switching in Edit vs on the floorboard

Maybe with the next revision they will fix some bugs!! -

Interesting. It is like the USB loses connection. I have seen this before where I click on SEND, but it doesn't highlight for a second so I have to press it a couple of times. I never tried pressing the SAVE button on the POD. However, it shouldn't behave like this. -

I have a DT50-212 and a HD500. I've tried re-flashing the firmware. I use a Line 6-Link cable between the two. I have even tried playing with a number of parameters such as Inputs and playing with the signal chain. I have even re-created the patch which works in the different slot and copied it to another slot which now no longer works. My problem is usually with the AC-30TB Pre, but has also happened with the J-800 Pre once. -

I get the same thing (more than a number of times). However, sometimes even when I copy, the target tone just doesn't sound the same. -
I had the same problem and noticed that when I copied an AC30 patch, in Line6 Edit that the amp was turned off. When I clicked the radio button on, it came up to the level of the Twin Reverb (slight boost in the mixer volume)
-
Perhaps try to reload the POD Driver from Line 6 Monkey
-
I have experienced the same thing. I move a tone I have created to another bank, and it sounds different or low in volume. It seems to be mostly in the same position (1C) so I am wondering if that position is bad...

I have been purchasing Line 6 products for many years. They are not cheap. Updates nowadays are via software, not hardware like 20 years ago. It is much easier/cheaper to update. When I pay for a product, I'm sure they tack on a few extra bucks (maybe hundreds) that include updates. That is what software vendors like Apple, Microsoft and probably even Line 6 does. So I expect regular updates until a new product comes out which replaces it.

I also had mine repaired ($90 CAD). Hopefully the HDx is better made

I have a DT50 and the hiss is noticeably louder both with the HD500 and without (even with the master volume dialed down to zero).
