  1. I hesitate to ask.... but did you use HX Edit v2.90 to perform the firmware update? That’s important information for the others out there who should beware.
  2. You’re not doing anything wrong. You need to manually download and install Helix Native v1.90 from the Downloads section of this website. It is not done automatically because HX Native is a separate purchase/product. Not all Helix owners have Native, and vice-versa.
  3. Hit the Downloads button at the top of this page. Then select HX Edit in the middle (software) field. Follow the installation instructions.
  4. It depends on whether you paid separately for your Pod Farm license or if it came bundled with the X3 purchase. If the latter you need to have the X3 connected in order to run Pod Farm, and the license applies to the original Pod Farm product, not Pod Farm 2. If you haven’t purchased Pod Farm separately and want to use your Focusrite you will need to purchase Pod Farm. Buy the hardware independent version of Pod Farm 2.5.
  5. Just be aware that you may encounter issues if you update the device firmware without also updating HX Edit. As of v2.90 the supported firmware update procedure is integrated into the HX Edit program. The previous method of using the Line 6 Updater program directly is no longer applicable. So that leads to the following question: having downloaded the firmware file, how do you plan to install it? Line 6 Updater is the wrong answer; it may no longer work properly. I don’t know if the new procedure within HX Edit v2.90 gives you the option to update from a local file.
  6. That should be automatic. Are you also running HX Edit v2.90, and is that how you updated the firmware in your Helix LT?
  7. Did you manually download and install the Helix Native update? It is not part of the HX Edit and Helix firmware update process.
  8. What version of firmware is currently installed in your Helix LT? What happens if you hit Cancel in the the error message dialogue box? Does the firmware update proceed without creating a backup? If so, is it successful? If the firmware update cannot proceed without creating a successful backup file you will need to fix apparent errors, possibly corrupt presets, in your Helix device. If you don’t have any custom presets or setlists that you want to backup you can just perform a factory reset to restore the Helix device to a state where a system backup will succeed. If you want to make backups of existing presets and setlists, try using HX Edit to export individual setlists. HX Edit v2.90 should be OK to use but if it doesn’t work with your existing firmware revert back to your previous version. Take note of any setlist that fails to export properly. For each such setlist, export all individual presets. Take note of any presets that fail to export properly. Any presets that failed to export properly are likely corrupt, and are the probable cause of the system backup failure. NOTE: These presets may be irretrievable. You may want to take screenshots at this point to recreate them manually later. Replace each of the above corrupt presets with a copy of New Preset in your setlists. Export the revised setlists. Repeat this procedure until all setlists export successfully. Now manually create a system backup to ensure that it is successful and won’t halt the firmware update procedure. Then try the firmware update again.
  9. I think the answer is Yes. I just consulted the Pod Farm 2 Advanced User Guide. On page 6.3 it says that PF2 can load l6t (preset) files, l6b (bundle) files, and l6c (collection) files. I expect your Pod XT backup is in one or more of those formats.
  10. Yes, Ultimate Guitar supports key changes that change the chords appropriately. No it doesn't use iTunes. Like any app it manages its own local storage on the device and uses that for local data and files.
  11. Go to the Downloads section of this website (see top of this page). Use the filters to select Firehawk FX as the product and Drivers as the software. Download and install the driver.
  12. The OP is wanting to use the DAW monitoring to get the benefit of VST FX applied in real time to the input signal. That, as you say, will necessarily introduce some amount of latency but perhaps still useable with good audio configuration.
  13. There’s Ultimate Guitar - a subscription service. Very large library of songs including lyrics, chords, tabs and printable sheets. Scrolls with adjustable speed for different songs. Supports setlists; allows you to select Favorites that are downloaded to your iPad so you don’t need an internet connection at gigs; includes teaching videos and resources; .... I find it worth the price.
  14. The Firehawk imposes some restrictions on FX block locations. In the app you can see the options when you touch and hold a block - vertical bars appear indicating the possible locations of the block. The Reverb block has only two possible locations: at the end of the signal path or immediately before the amp. In the latter case that leaves the FX Loop block at the end of the chain. I know that is probably not exactly what you’re looking for (reverb before amp) but it seems to be the only option to get the FX Loop at the end of the chain.
  15. You can't. The presets are not compatible. What you can do is use the Firehawk Remote app to view all the amps and FX in any given preset and manually recreate their selections and settings in a POD Go preset. Expect to still have to do some tweaking because they won't sound identical even with the same settings.
  16. Are you able to see and select the amps in the model packs despite the fact that they don't show up in a listing? Scroll through the list of available amps on the HD500. Can you see the ones in the various model packs?
  17. You can see the Variax model selection on Page 2 of the input block. Actually it displays the name of the Variax model stored in the selected bank/pup location on the Variax. The Variax factory models are named according to these locations (e.g.Spank-1). If you’ve customized the names of the models then you may not be able to decipher the bank/pup selection.
  18. I believe that’s done in the Pod Farm mixer page. You can choose Tone 1 and Tone 2 inputs separately. I’m not familiar with GB so don’t know exactly how you choose the record input source for the two tracks. Presumably there’s a way to choose PF Tone 1 and Tone 2 outputs independently.
  19. The order of the FX blocks in the signal chain is important here. A mono FX block will send a mono signal from its output even if the incoming signal is stereo. Make sure your stereo FX blocks are the last ones in the signal chain - no mono block following them.
  20. I’m not aware of any such listing. I do know that the relationship is not 1:1. The file type .l6t was used for several devices including the Pod XT series and the Pod X3 series. I think it was also be used for the Pocket Pod. I think the 1:1 correspondence was introduced with the POD HD series, and then it was model-specific, i.e. an HD500 filetype was not compatible with any other HD device. Earlier, for instance, any .l6t file that worked with one Pod X3 device would work with the others.

    Overwhelmed

Correction: A2 above is not always the case. As you see in your previous post there are options about IRS and Global Settings when you choose to reset the setlists to factory.

    Overwhelmed

A1. No - there are no IRS pre-installed. The fact that you had some means your Helix is not brand new; someone used it to install those IRS. The factory reset properly removed them. A2. Yes, as well as removing all IRS and restoring all Global Settings to their default values.
  23. Since you have a system backup I would restore the factory settings on the Helix LT and then try to restore the backup again. Also, you say you installed a new version of Line 6 Updater. Did you use it?
  24. Not sure what you mean by ‘delete’. A setlist has 128 preset slots. You can’t ‘delete’ a slot and make it 127. You delete a preset by replacing the contents of its slot with an empty preset.
