I guess I don't understand. Since you can control the output volume of your Helix using its master volume knob, why do you need to also control the volume on your speakers? Just turn the Helix volume down and leave your speakers alone - is that not sufficient?
-
I run mine through a pair of L3t speakers. I also set the volume on the speakers to accommodate my usual Helix cranked volume level. However when I need to turn things down I lower the Helix volume, not the speaker volume (rear panel as you note). I don’t really notice a difference in sound quality other than the predictable difference due to lower volume. I don’t think the lower Helix output volume affects sound quality much in that situation.

The reason is that Line 6 introduced Workbench HD support with the POD HD500X. There was a hardware change with the HD500X and the Workbench HD support was not retrofitted to the previous hardware, the HD500. I’m not 100% sure that the hardware upgrade was technically the reason but that’s certainly the timing of it. Edit: In order to use Workbench HD with your JTV59 you will need to use the Variax Workbench Interface device that came with your JTV59 if you purchased it new.

No. The POD Go looper (like all Line 6 loopers in multi-FX processors) has no concept of timing, tempo, or beats. It simply records the incoming signal from the moment you press the Record switch to the moment you press Stop.

Not sure how you would be recording into the mixer (4 mics? 1 mic?) but I expect the mixer has audio outputs. I would route them (L/R) into a Helix Return pair so that you could use multiple mics for the drums and mix a stereo signal into Helix. Then, as you say, into Reaper via USB from Helix.

solved Toggle delay time and mode with fs possible?
silverhead replied to AgingOrange's topic in Helix
Have you tried using two Delay blocks adjacent to each other in the signal chain? Make them identical in all respects except for the delay time. Assign them both to the same FS and save the preset in the state where one block is on and the other off. The FS will then toggle between them. -

Have you tried to drag/drop the IRs rather than using the Import command? -
solved Toggle delay time and mode with fs possible?
silverhead replied to AgingOrange's topic in Helix
I think I understand what you want to do. I have tried unsuccessfully to do it directly. But as of firmware v2.90 there might be a way to do it indirectly. As you note you can do this using two snapshots. With v2.90 you can assign a snapshot to a FS in Stomp mode. So if you create your two snapshots and then assign them to two FS you can get close to what you want. I think you will need use two footswitches in Stomp mode rather than a toggle using only one . -
I suggest you open a support ticket. The fact that the LT does not respond properly to the 6+12 startup sequence is worrisome.

Recording 2 tracks simulteanously with Audacity
silverhead replied to dante45's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Check your audio settings in Audacity. Are you using the Line 6 ASIO driver or something called ASIO4ALL? If the latter, be aware that it is not a fully compliant ASIO driver and does not always work with Line 6 products. It is not supported by Line 6. You should configure Audacity to use the Line 6 driver. -
Assuming you are using Helix as the audio interface to your PC...... You can record a dry signal directly from the Guitar input by selecting USB channel 7 as the Record Input source in Cubase after arming a track for recording. This can be changed in Helix Global Settings but the default setting assigns USB 7 for this purpose. Additional trivia: USB 8 is assigned to the dry mic input.

Yes, it’s a bit confusing because the Firehawk SAVE options include ‘Publish to Line 6 Cloud’. The difference is that this Publish option makes the tone available to all Firehawk users in the Line 6 cloud (the library that the Search function uses), while My Tones is a private cloud collection associated with your personal Line 6 account. Just like the sky..... there are many clouds! ;-)

HELIX MODELS LIST - [2.91] All models and real reference table

Thanks. There’s also this. https://helixhelp.com/models/ -
I don’t understand what you mean by ‘the Snapshot icon on screen’. Can you elaborate?
-
No. The FX Loop block itself consumes a small amount of the POD Go’s DSP capacity. That does not change whether or not it is on or off, and whether or not external pedals are connected.
-
The Command Center operates on a preset basis. You should not assign a looper function to an already assigned switch in the same preset, and once the looper function is assigned to a footswitch you should not assign another function to the same switch.

Yes it makes a difference. If you set Snapshots Edit to Recall you won't have to SAVE the preset after editing each snapshot. You can just SAVE the preset once, after you've finished all snapshot edits. Give it a try. Note: You may want to set it back to Discard after your editing session. Sometimes the Recall setting can play havoc when playing live.

The word 'good' in all your criteria makes this difficult since it's so subjective. Both devices provide 'good' results in all your criteria, imho. But your good and my good may be different. If you can be more specific and quantitative that would help. Consider their technical and differences differences - e.g. size, number of switches, number of simultaneous FX, built-in expression pedal, ..... You don't mention any of those considerations in your criteria. Are NONE of those important to you?

It sounds like a hardware failure of some sort. Your X3 probably needs servicing at an authorized Line 6 service centre. https://line6.com/support/tickets/

.... and after you’ve used your old Firehawk device to save them to My Tones (the cloud) you can disconnect your old Firehawk from Bluetooth. Establish a new Bluetooth connection to the app using your new Firehawk. You can then transfer all of your presets in My Tones, one by one, to your new Firehawk by using the Store on Firehawk option for saving tones.
