  1. Not now and likely not ever. The whole idea of the AMPLIFi and Firehawk product line is untethered mobility. Hence mobile devices and Bluetooth.
  2. No alternatives. I expect the current slowness will be resolved soon. If you find it too slow at the moment wait a day or two.
  3. moved to X3 forum...................
  4. The website has been very slow the last couple of days. I'm sure Line 6 is working on it. Should improve soon.
  5. See the little green up arrow in the bottom right area of the comment frame? That's the like button
  6. You don't. Use a program called Line 6 Edit. Monkey will help you download and install it, or download the installer from the Downloads area of this website.
  7. You can't 'delete' tones. You overwrite them (copy) with another tone in its place. You can create what you consider to be an 'empty' tone for this purpose.
  8. I don't know exactly how the pole sensor works (optical vs. weight-sensing vs ....) but you may not need to go as far as drilling, mounting, and using an actual Line 6 short pole. I might start by cutting something like an old broom/shovel handle to length and just inserting it into the pole shaft.
  9. Understood. And yet, unavoidably, that's what needs to be done if you want to hear exactly what your audience will hear and do the final tweaking accordingly. As has already been described you can use either headphones or speakers at bedroom level to get something close but neither will be exactly what your audience hears in the church.
  10. I haven't tried it myself, but theoretically you create an empty path in the preset and set its output to s/pdif. For instance, create a Helix preset that uses Path 1 for guitar processing and Path 2 for the dry signal. In Path 1 Select Guitar as input, add whatever amp and FX processing you want as usual, and select the analog outputs (e.g. 1/4" outputs) at Line level, connected to the 6i6 analog inputs. In Path 2 select Guitar as input, do not add any amp or FX blocks, and select s/pdif as output connected to the 6i6 s/pdif input. In the DAW arm a stereo and mono track for recording. Select the appropriate 6i6 USB Send channels for the Record Input signals - the stereo processed signal and the s/pdif dry signal.
  11. It likely depends on your guitar(s). Experiment until you reach a level you're satisfied with.
  12. I suggest you reinstall the latest firmware. If the problem persists, open a support ticket to work directly with Line 6 tech support.
  13. You could also use the Helx/6i6 s/pdif connections. You could do this instead of or in addition to the analog connections. For instance, you could record the processed wet signal over the analog connections while simultaneously recording the dry signal over s/pdif for later re-amping.
  14. Check the Setup menus, page 5. Increase the s/pdif level parameter value.
  15. Connect the Helix L/R audio outputs to one pair of the Scarlett L/R audio inputs. I would use the 1/4" outputs/inputs. Set the Helix 1/4" output level to Line.
  16. Try using different USB ports on your computer, and if possible try another computer. If those efforts fail then yes open a support ticket.
  17. When recording using the analog outputs to another audio interface, make sure your Firehawk Ouptut mode is set to Line mode. This ensures the output level is Studio/Direct, appropriate for a mixer, not instruments level appropriate for an external amp. (see manual page13)
  18. Select the FX you want the pedal to control. The FX parameters are displayed. Press and hold the knob associate with the parameter you want the pedal to control. In the next display assign the parameter to the desired pedal and set the desired min/max values for the pedal sweep.
  19. I suggest you do what RJMEngineering suggested - have a seltist for live play without the cabs and one for recording with the cab/mic simulations. You might find that you need to do more than just add the cabs to get the tones you want for recording. Once you get them tweaked properly you won't need to do any further changing - just use the appropriate setlist.
  20. Select the FX you want to assign. Touch (don't press down) on the FS you want to assign the FX to. Press the OK button when the screen display changes. Repeat for all other FX you want to assign for the same switch. Just make sure you select Merge rather than Replace before hitting OK.
  21. Yes you can power the Variax by connecting it to the X3 Pro using the VDI connection. You will need to buy a special cable for this. http://store.line6.com/accessories/cables/variax-digital-cable.html You don't need to purchase Pod Farm unless you want the latest version. The POD X3 Pro includes a free license to the original Pod Farm product. And you don't need Pod Farm at all unless you want to record and then apply some plug-in processing to the recorded tracks.
  22. If you're looking for an audio interface in this context you basically have two choices: - a VDI-equipped line 6 product that will avoid the extra A/D and D/A conversions from thenVariax, or - a more standard audio interface that is used in all non-Variax electric guitar situations. All VDI-equipped Line 6 audio interfaces are primarily guitar multi-FX devices, and are consequently much more expensive than just an audio interface device. You are paying mostly for the amp and FX modelling. But your Presonus DAW has many similar FX already built in so much of the extra cost could be considered redundant. Also, despite the lengthy discussion that the video provides about the loss of signal quality inherent in D/A and A/D conversions, IMHO it's not really all that important. Great recordings have been made for decades with standard analog output from guitars. The Variax is a relatively recent product and I suspect you've probably never heard it's VDI recording capability in a commercial recording. Certainly no one would be able to say.... 'Ah. Listen. Hear that extra pristine recording quality because of the way Variax VDI avoids the extra conversions?' I guess what I'm saying in such a long-winded fashion is...... Get yourself a good basic audio interface and connect the Variax using the 1/4" outputs. Of course if money is not a consideration then go with the latest and greats Line 6 VDI-equipped device - Helix. Not only is it (arguably) the best guitar multi-FX device on the market today, as an audio interface it provides 8 channels meaning you can, among oth things, record dry and use hardware re-amping.
  23. You don't need the drivers. The files are compatible. You should be able to download any HD300 preset from Customtone and drag/drop the downloaded file into any preset slot in the POD HD400 Edit program to audition it. Then SEND it to the HD400 device if you wish.
