I find the output volume of the HD500 to be much louder through L6 Link than through the regular analog outputs. Since you intend to use the L3 as an onstage monitor you may have to do some tweaking to balance the XLR/mixer output volume and your monitor volume. You might find it more convenient to go XLR to the mixer and use the HD500 1/4" outputs to the L3 rear panel analog inputs for your monitor.

Download and install Line 6 Monkey from the Support-Downloads section of this website. With your GX connected via USB, run Line 6 Monkey. It will help you locate and install the correct driver. Make sure you follow its instructions carefully re: when to disconnect and reconnect your GX.

In your iPAD Settings you need to activate the Mobile Pod. Go to Settings-Privacy-microphone and turn on Mobile Pod. On the Sonic Port make sure your input switch specifies whether you are using the guitar input or the mic.

The Stagesource speaker mode is saved/stored in the HD500 on a per preset basis. The default is Electric Guitar. That explains why every time you recall a preset the speaker mode becomes electric guitar. The speaker mode setting is not directly visible or available for editing on the Hd500 or on HID500 Edit. In order to change the stored speaker mode you need to select a preset, manually change the speaker mode on the Speaker, and then SAVE the preset on the HD500. The bad news is you have to do this for every preset; the good news is you only have to do it once.

Your Sonic Port is compatible with your PC; just connect it using the supplied USB cable. You may also need to install a driver. Run Line 6 Monkey with the Sonic Port connected. You are correct. The Pod HD desktop has no cd/MP3 input. It has one guitar and one mic input.

The L2t speaker has an onboard mixer that the L2m does not. This means 2 extra inputs which are very important for your needs. You can do what you want with the L2t; you could not do it with the L2m. For what you want I would set things up this way: - connect your acoustic guitar to the L2t Channel 1 mixer input, and use the Acoustic Guitar modeling in the speaker. - connect the mic to the L2t Channel 2 input. - connect the HD500 to the L2t using L6 Link - connect your electric guitar to the HD500 - connect your keyboard to one of the Line inputs on the rear panel of the L2t; connect your Boss looper to the other Line inputs. Alternatively, connect your keyboard or Boss to the Aux input on the Hd500, which give you the option of processing that signal through the Hd500 DSP or leaving it unprocessed. This setup will support one microphone. If you want a second vocal use a dual path preset on the Hd500, and set it up so that you have independent guitar and mic processing. You can't simultaneously use all three of guitar, mic, and keyboard/Boss if you are putting them all into the Hd500. Hope this helps.

Triryche correctly stated that neither will control Pod Farm, and asked for more info from you so that he could advise you better. Either the UX1 or UX2 should meet your needs. As opposed to providing more info as requested to get a better recommendation, you can compare their differences for yourself. Or stick with your Zoom.

The POD HD Edit program supports saving and loading of setlists (and perhaps also bundles - can' remember right now) in a single operation.

You want to change that stored setting, manually change the speaker mode and then SAVE the preset. 3) For best results (IMHO) set the speaker mode to PA/Reference, set the HD500 Output Mode to Studio, and use the full (not pre) amp models with your desired mic/cab combination.

You can't use fs1 - fs4 for patch switching. The device is not designed for that. Presets are organized into banks of 4 presets. Only one bank is active at any moment, restricting preset selection footswitch action to the 4 presets in the active bank. The issue is: Which non-active bank of 4 presets should fs1-fs4 control? There's no way to determine that without redesigning the product. Not going to happen.

Also, the Search feature in Customtone doesn't support searching by FX types and combinations so you can't really create a small group of presets that match your specifications. As above, I highly recommend that you set aside an hour or two to read the manual, watch some videos, and experiment yourself with the different FX types available.

The display readout beside the L6 Link connection on the speaker is lit when two or more Stagescape speakers are connectd together. It remains unlit when just one speaker is used.

It should work if you connect the HD400 L6 Link to the L3t L6 LINK IN. For best results set your HD400 Output Mode to Line and set its Volume control at zero to start with. Set the L3t mode to PA/Reference and set its volume control to the midpoint (the notch position). Raise the HD400 Volume level until the desired volume is reached. In the HD400 preset, select the Full (not Pre) version of the amp model and select the desired mic/cab combination. Also for best results you should use an official L6 Link cable, or any AES/EBU cable. A standard XLR cable will work but might not provide a high quality signal depending on its length and other factors. You could certainly start, and test with, a standard XLR cable and then upgrade if not satisfied.

I don't know enough about the operating system on Windows-based tablet PCs, but I do know that both Sonic Port (original and VX) and Pod Farm are compatible with the full version of Windows that runs on a desktop or laptop PC. There are no special drivers/versions of the products that are specific to tablet PCs. So unless your tablet runs a full-fledged PC operating system I doubt that it will work.

A low of 5 instead of 0 won't be very noticeable, but ideally it should be 0. Try sweeping the pedal repeatedly and rapidly from heel to toe with your foot a few times, and then repeat the procedure; sometimes this will clean up any dust or debris that may be responsible for the sensor error. If that doesn't clear it up completely there are other potential fixes that involve removing the faceplate on the device but for the small discrepancy in your case it may not be worth it.

And since Line 6 software is not open source, hacking the code is probably illegal. Using the official Line 6 forum to announce your criminal intentions against them doesn't seem like the smartest approach to me. I know that what you would like to do is small scale and that Line 6 would probably not bother prosecuting you, but IP theft remains serious business.

Glad to hear it! Note that the Hd500 can send more than patch/program change messages in midi. You can also assign specific CC commands to footswitches. This is documented in the Advanced Guide in detail. Assignments are accessible through Hd500 Edit.
