You will find that a lot of your presets may go from 4 to make a song to one preset that has everything loaded and just toggling states using SnapShots! I have a couple of presets that could be used all night long if I was forced to. It's incredible, and I've owned everything but the Atomic Reactor Amplifire.

Make sure you try to split your high dsp intensive blocks between the two main paths. Each uses a processor up.

I've got a Windows 7 laptop that works like a charm... Old Alienware gaming machine... My Win 10 Precision Workstation laptop works like a charm, too.

No offense to Zoom, as they have their market, but nothing Zoom can touch anything from Kemper, Fractal, and Line 6 Helix...

I know there's an old thread, and there's a few requests on IdeaScale, but I really really really need Line 6 to build a Synth Strings effect like we had on X3 Live. Would be great for when I'm playing on Sundays, and probably even for the bar band... Oh well... Anyone else still Jonesin' for this?

Good patches! Of course the ones I use will be eq'd to my exact tastes. I tend to have more low mids in my presets, but that's just personal preference. Great building blocks/starting points to your own versions of them, though!

Resurrecting this old post... is there any hope of getting the synth strings tones from the Helix? Our other praise team guitarist uses it on her X3 Live, and she's gonna be gone for awhile. Her keyboard playing son may be gone for a few as well. This means I'd like to have this for filling the holes on certain songs and for background music during talking segments... I'll try to search ideascale as well.

Is it the USB chipset in the Atom machines or something???

Mine stays cool when I leave it on from 7:15am until 12:30pm for the rehearsal and two services. I also leave it on for 5 hours for the typical rock band gig and have no heat problems. Other than that, it's powered off always after I'm done playing.
