Congrats Dude! Glad it worked out, now get back to rockin'!! :D

Hey Brue58ski - those verbs in the old 2101s were awesome. IIRC D-Tech uses the Lexicon algos. The RP1000/500 verbs are pretty much the same (to me) but the last time I used the 2101 was a few years back - man that thing needed a PC interface. :)

There is a midi dump (at least for the pro) but I don't recall seeing the reverse function for a bulk receive.

Maybe the computer finds the lil GX sexy. :) Seriously, though I have always disconnected my UX (and gear in general) prior to shutting down. I would suspect it is something with the PC's mobo which is detecting the connection regardless of the bios settings. The battery on the mobo keeps things running (clock for one and who knows what else) so while the OS is not loaded there is something running.

The "chorflaseruniwah" ? Assign it to exp. pedal 3. :D

I don't have a Helix but know the tuner issues with MFXs. They seem to work the best with a 12th fret harmonic rather than an open string.

Wow I was hoping this was fixed. Well a couple of questions: Have you ran the L6 Monkey and did everything come up "green checks"? Next Run the L6 License Manager and Make sure it is registered and Authorized, k? That was all for the UX getting connected and making sure "it's all good". So if the UX is connected and all drivers and stuff are good then, Start Pod Farm and go to the about screen - IIRC its under the "help tab". It should tell you if the UX is good and authorized to run that version of Pod Farm. Some UXs are authorized for PF1 some are for PF2 btw. Can you get the mic to work with just the UX and Pod Farm (no Reaper)? Can you try a non-phantom powered mic? You have to get the PC to "see" the UX and/or the mic. BTW - silly question but does the UX and PF work for guitar in? :)
-
The mixer view button would be the first button to the right of the logo not below. If its not there then I am sure one of the fellas might know. But that how I've used it myself.
-
Yes you can buy PF as a standalone meaning you do not have to have the UX plugged in in order to use it. When you bought the UX it came with the ability to use PF (as its dongle). So if you have a UX you have to have it plugged in and connected for PF. If you bought PF on its own its all good. Was driving me nuts! Right next to the Line 6 emblem (About Button) in the middle to the right is the Mixer View button. Page 3.23 of the manual - input source menu is at the top. Hope that works for ya.
-
BTW be sure you've ran the Monkey and got all green checks for the UX and then went through the License Manager for the UX as well. Then fire up PF2.5. There should be an "inputs tab" if its all good. I would get the vocals going first with PF then fire up Reaper. Depending on the age of the UX you might have to go to PF1 (free) if PF2.5 isn't authorized.
-
There should be a "mixer view" - I'm not at home so I can't fire PF up but its there, unless its for PF standalone. :) BTW I know what you are going through I went hunting for it myself years ago.
-
Try going into the mixer view in PF select mic as your source. The UX2 has a phantom power button AND volume controls on top. What Triryche sez is true - my UX2 -> PF2.
-
Flip it over and the # will be on the bottom - though I think it will auto enter during the registration. The L6 Manager will have you create an account and register it too (if you haven't already) - which is good as you hope to never need it but there is a warranty. :)
-
Sorry Dude - I assumed you had already done the L6 Monkey and got all the driver's and etc installed for the UX2. But yes you should. License Manager, Monkey are the two you will need. The Monkey does a good system overview to check drivers and such, while the L6 Manager handles authorizations for addons, permissions and such.
-
Hee :) You have to download it from the same spot you should have nailed the Monkey. Go to the top of the page -> Support and follow it to Downloads. Install, connect the UX2, Run L6 LM follow the prompts.

or set the "input z" to 1 M for actives? Fizz? Not really much of an issue if you EQ it right. There are some great threads here. I run an old Kramer with the 81/85 combo and I don't get the issues you have. But I understand, I still optionally jump around and use a G5, RP1000 and a few others to give the ears a break now and again. Good luck Dude!! -B

POD studio UX2 no input from mic
BillBee replied to DemiZoons's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Been a while since I fired PF up but if I remember its in the top left section (corner) of Pod Farm and don't forget there are volume controls on the UX2 itself. -
POD studio UX2 no input from mic
BillBee replied to DemiZoons's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Do you have the input set to mic? -
Be sure to run the License manager for the UX2. If Pod Farm doesn't "see" the UX2 as authorized you won't see the rest of the amps when the UX2 is connected.
-
Yes it does. BUT first google Perfect Pedal Order - Steve Vai and watch the video (its posted in the Lounge section here too). Really good information on pedal order and possibilities. -B

Will there be any further versions of POD Farm?
BillBee replied to johnnygtar's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Man, I really think they will. With all the new models they have it seems like just finding a way to frontend them. Toneport HD, Virtual Helix? There is a market and L6 is pretty sharp on that end. -
Nope - the Model Packs can be used up ~ 4 devices. Just have to authorize it through the License Manager so it can see the original purchase in your account.

How many presets in POD 2.0 ? Just 36 ?
BillBee replied to Rick_Enbacker's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
36 presets my man! You can demo the patches you have downloaded without saving them to the unit. Replacing the factories is no great loss as they are quite "eh" imo. To me 36 presets is more than I normally use but I hear you "more is better". But with the PC Editor you can switch and store and shuffle that 36 around and honestly for most purposes its more than enough. I think I will dig out the ole floor pod for practice tonight. The 2.0 still sounds really good to me.- 1 reply

Necro thread lives!! PianoGuy's stripper (bless her 36 DD's btw) can at least make her own thong copy but will it be exact? ehhh who knows but probably not. The real eyepatch would hold more money before the elastic goes. I would agree that returning stuff is cheesy but one could also argue borrowing an amp to profile or allowing people access to previously copied profiles would also cost sales. But bah! Next we will tax air (if we haven't already). A digital copy can be an exact copy of copyright material different to me. -B
