  1. Eeesh tough to say my man - I don't have Win10. Based on the others' successes it should work. But don't give up hope - someone more knowledgeable than I will probably pop by.
  2. This worked for another Dude: "Go the advanced tab and play with the options, the one that worked for me was 16 bit 48000 dvd quality!" http://line6.com/support/topic/14991-windows-10-no-sound/
  3. Did you also change to DVD quality @ 16 bits? If its detected and installed it should be a matter of screwing with the settings that Windows uses it for as a soundcard.
  4. It means to re-install the firmware. Be sure to go through and recalibrate the expression pedal too.
  5. I don't know if this will work but it seems the audio properties have to be changed. Try to set your sound properties, to DVD quality 16 bits @ 48000Hz. It looks like those are the #s that have worked for other devices. -B
  6. Pretty neat clips my man! THX for the post! Didn't know that about the Mex strats - it was only a rumour back then regarding the partial US work. -B
  7. BLT \m/ Just had a ham and salami with colby jack on an onion roll. Living large my friend! -B
  8. Its not complicated at all and its a pretty similar process just s different interface. 1) Get a copy of Gearbox. 2) Monkey you have. 3) install everything Connect the X3L via the usb cable - hopefully its all good and it will install the drivers etc.... then fire up Gearbox. The Library window has the option for loading and saving tones. -B
  9. Man TBH I have to believe you know how to unzip a file by now. If you are looking for info on how to get an unzipped patch file into the X3 you need to go to the downloads section and start some work. You will need Gearbox and probably Monkey. Those programs allow for the usb connection on the X3L to edit and transfer tones. Included in a pretty good user guide too.
  10. Keep hope alive. They ran the special for the XT packs a few times and probably will do so again for the HD packs. Hmmmm - I would take chicken salad on rye with a cup of bean and bacon soup. ;) -B
  11. This is the best advice my man unless you have $$$ to burn. Good gear does help to an extent but nothing replaces solid understanding and fundemental skills. We have all been there. -B
  12. http://line6.com/software/ Everything is in there. -B
  13. Yep using the triple pack on my Bean. You will have to have the latest versions of the Frimware installed prior to authorizing the packs for use. So be sure to pop over to the DLs page and get it. To get your purchased packs to run: 1 ) Run the L6 Monkey update the flash memory then 2) run the L6 License Manager for authorization of the model pack. -B
  14. Eventually I will switch, but in the near future I am more likely to pick up a 500x first (already have a Bean and 500) just for the dsp and the anticipated $ drop when the GAS hoards liquidate their HDs :D
  15. I've used a L6 Backtrack (with built in mic) for years. Not to shabby options, compact, decent battery life (internal) and pretty inexpensive. -B
  16. Well my man - you need to look for info on the 4 Cable Method or 4CM. http://line6.com/support/topic/5059-need-help-4-cable-method-on-pod-pro-rack-mount/ Is well written and saves me typing ;) Welcome to the board too! Bill
  17. Well the specs for the Pod 2 PS is: Output: 9V AC, 2000mA, normally the lil stomp pedals are DC at ~ 2-300 mA. It is recommended to pickup a PS that meets the specs (or at least in the ballpark). -B
  18. http://line6.com/customtone/help/factorypresets.html/ This should help solve the mystery :) -B
  19. The X3 becomes the soundcard and must have the speakers/amp/headphones connected to it. -B
  20. Man that sucks. The first thing I would try would be another power supply. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/general-faq/line-6-device-factory-reset-procedures-r435 Has the rest procedures. I can't remember off hand if there is a "reflash" available. Got to run but good luck~~~ Bill
  21. http://line6.com/software/ Has all the stuff you need. -B
  22. Have you tried here: http://line6.com/support/manuals/podxtlive/ http://line6.com/data/6/0a060b316ac34f0593d67f7ef/application/pdf/PODxt%20Live%20Preset%20Chart%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20A%20).pdf That is the list of factory patches - if you are looking to see what patches are on the unit you have (in case they have changed) - you will have to go through them one at a time on the unit or connect the XTL to your computer, fire up Gearbox on the PC and browse using the editor. -B
