Thanks for the review Gazza. Yes I want one and yes now I hate you :D Rock on bro! Bill

I'm sorry Dude didn't mean to have anything implied like that. I know your a cool guy as I've used alot of your advice from a different site (it was for a Zoom G5 if I remember, with the same ID) and it was most helpful. -B

Hey Chris, Is it that you want some help or just want to vent? -B

I had an Uncle lollipop and he always used lollipop. Didn't care and not too many people snickered when he said his name was lollipop. Lesson learn by a young kid about name calling from a great guy.

Hey PG, going in the front can work if the preamp section won't alter the patch's tone in an unpleasing way. I have had a couple of preamp tube only combos where there was some drive being created by Pod driving the amps pre on a clean patch. On modeling amps I never had a happy marriage between the two. Go FX in is similar to having a power amp/cab combo in one. Like a Tech 21 PE 60 for ex. So its a personal preference but in general takes something out of the signal chain. -B

Ole Rich seems to screw up a lot of things too ;)

No Problem - its so close to the warranty date (1 year I think) that L6 may be cool with it. They have been awesome before and its worth a shot. Good Luck! Bill

If Jandrio's diagram doesn't fix it - you need to better explain exactly how you are currently attempting to hook it up and list specifically what issues you are having. If you can get it to play on one amp adding the 2nd is as easy. Unless its a patch issue. -B

Yeah but some like to throw some help out there to help passing the mind numbing phase of idle time. Sometimes explaining things helps to further cement an understanding of the gear. Others are just great guys who get weary of repeating the same answer over and over. But they still do it albeit progressively gruffer if argued with :) All in all, kefuffles aside, there are awesome nuggets of community love in here. The L6 Experts know the L6 gear and IIRC do some beta testing, which is great and well earned, as they have proven to have nuts and bolts dug into the gear, its application "and" have maintained a helpful presence and will do so in the future, its advantageous for all. Besides they actually might like doing it :) 2 Cents and no lollipop kissing intended. -Bill

Dude, Sorry to hear this. If the tuner doesn't get a signal AND you know the input settings are correct. There is a chance you have a bad solder joint in there somewhere. Heat causes the joint to expand opening the circuit. That is my "guess". I would put in a Support Ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ -B

Floor POD Plus - power supply.
BillBee replied to RRockmaNN's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
If you know it works then you just need the PS for your use. Try Fleabay or some other online retailers. L6 stuff likes L6 specs or really close to them. An under sized PS "may" work but might generate a lot of heat and die itself. -B -
FWIW - HD Bean into Reaper VIA USB, when done I just connect a mic, change the settings in edit and lay down the vocs. I do them seperate, but it keeps me from tripping :D -B

Oh man spot on. If I am not trying to hit a tone for a cover I usually default to almost the same tone, which the HD has made better - HD'ish (?). +1 to you DoooOoode! :)

Eh.. its all good, people call it quits on a brand than cycle through on the next tech cycle. Its all good and keeps the competition/sales going. Yes I wish I could afford one too! Good Luck my man - I know the quest you are on! :) -Bill

FBV Longboard Volume & Wah Pedals No Worky
BillBee replied to moetsch123's topic in FBV Controllers (MKI / MKII / 3)
This is not going to help much but the main pcb is probably fine and I would look at the exp pedal board. Been years since I took apart my FBX (for a switch repair) but look and reseat any ribbon cables if no response then I would look into what sensor is being used for pedal movement measurements (optical or mechanical). Never heard of them losing memory after sitting either. Mine sat in a bag for a year and fired up. Found a sort of relevant post. Bad photo sensor (maybe?) http://line6.com/supportarchive/thread/5763/ -
POD XT and Gearbox problem
BillBee replied to woziul's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
I would try using a different USB port and then a different cable. -
Try a different power supply and see if that clears it up. They do go bad.

You can download patches regardless of what hardware you are using. It might mean your User ID for Line 6. IIRC if you run the L6 license manager it will eventually take you you to the authorization page under your ID and I think you can just copy paste that #. Again its been awhile since I had to do that. -B

Pod Xt Pro, Patch Editing Does Not Work!
BillBee replied to MistaSinistra's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
If you have tried all of the above and it still doesn't work. You "could" try opening it up and seeing if the display (daughter board) ribbon cable worked itself loose and may need reseating. Just an idea prior to seeing about taking it in for service. -
Pod xt live help!!!!!
BillBee replied to razakelkrieg's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Gearbox is the editor for the XT series. -
The XTL model packs do not come free except for the FX Junkie and maybe the Power Pack IIRC. The others like the Metal Pack you have to purchase. The Line 6 License Manager has to be run in order to authorize any add-ons. If the tweak knob is bad you should look into submitting a support ticket and have it repaired by an authorized service center. -B

Any good/free recording softwares?
BillBee replied to longhorns12's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
I vote for Reaper - full featured DAW and after the learning curve is pretty straight forward. Audacity is OK though IIRC drums VSTs were also lacking (best you look that one up as there may have been an update). -B -
This!! and an FX pack would be sweet.

I don't see why it can't, if a free version would appear. those are all just hardware interfaces. IMO.
