Have a nice birthday man!

If you put a shorted jack in the EXP2 input in the back you only have EXP1 left. Then it works fine
-
If you plu a shorted jack into the EXP2 input you will only hace EXP1 to turn on and off. This works good without issues as far as I can see. This is what I use: B)

Snapshot icon taking up too much text space in scribble strip

Agreed! Please make a ideascale post for this. -
Yeah, mono didn't work either. With a guitar plugged in at the other end does work so it seems there needs to me a load. Pressing the stereo plug in somewhere halfway works. Maybe shorting a mono plug would work? Edit: shorting the plug works! B)

I tried this with a jack adapter to mini jack but it doesn't seem to work. Pressing the toe switch still makes the pedal go to EXP2 and back. Is a dummy plug something else? Or am I missing something? I found what was wrong! I had the wah connected to switch5 instead of the toe switch  Also, a stereo dummy doesn't work. When you press it in completely it shows EXP1/EXP2 again. Just found out the same happens with a mono jack. Is this normal behaviour?

Thanks for the input, I think option 3 will be good for me!

I don't think it's a bug but it shure is annoying. I hit the same problem. I think the problem lies in the possbility to change the bypass state of the wah without changing the assigned pedal (EXP1 to EXP2 or reverse). I'm not sure how to solve this without loosing other functionalities.

Great! How did you achieve that?

Not really a solution to the problem is it?

In my experience it handles overdrive perfectly. Way better that the HD500. I own a Lex Bos tube drive (which is absolutely killer) and on the HD it only sounded good in front of one or two amp models. It sounded absolutely crap in front of the Twin model for instance. On Helix, in front of the Twin it sounds wonderful. In fact it sounds great in front of all clean amps and many dirty ones. I think that would be the same with real amps

For the life of me I can't hear a difference! I am totally impressed! :o

Hmmm, that's not optimal. What if you don't have any space left in the upper path?

If You Transitioned from HD500 to Helix, Have You Noticed...?

Yeah, I have pretty much the same experience. Dialed in my base tone by choosing the right amp and the rest was just adding effects and tweaking a bit for detail. Finding the right amp cost me the most time. After a while got a new idea for routing by looking at other's idea's. Changed my patches within a couple of minutes, sounded even better! I'm very satisfied and use much more of my time practicing and having fun playing. I had big difficulties finding really good tone with the HD500, took me over a Year to wrap my head around it. Even then I was alway looking to make it better, just never seemed to be good enough. I almost miss needing to fiddle around all the time! -
And again an nice shirt!!!! Also nice preset

We need Variax insurance

You have a point there. I still think you don't need insurance though. A longer guaranty would be nice though. Maybe selective for certain parts? -

OK, isn't that covered by the guaranty? Sounds like malfunction so it should be. -

What's your probleem? You feel Line6 needs to take care of your insurance needs? Why would they? It's not their problem if you drop it or have it stolen is it? Just go get an insurance yourself. I did. -
Great shirt! Can you do some Zappa presets?

Thanks! To be ouhnest, I think my new band wil sound better. Zappatika had a lot of issues I didn't like and couldn't be solved with the band leader having such a big ego. Check out www.absolutelyfrank.com and follow us on Facebook if you're interested. I put up a few snippets from the 7th rehearsal, curious to hear what you think. I'm playing through a Helix and DT25 (the solo on Zoot Allures). Would also love to hear what you think of my tone!

You like the pre amps better than the full amps?
