You can also set the low cut and hugh cut on the cab sim, that's what I do. I connect via L6-Link to my DT25

I'm not really sure, to be honest. I have tried the DT without cab sims a couple of times with the HD500(X) and dind't really like it I really think it needs a cab sim but again, whatever gets you hot is good! I guess I will experiment using the DT without a cab sim sometime again, just to be sure!

With all due respect, it's no use complaining about missing effects if you don't update to the latest firmware or at least read up on what's added. Reverse delay is in there.

I'm also using full amps through L6-Link. Only I disabled the Cab on the Dt and use the Helix cabs. I can't say I really compared them intensively but the Helix Cabs should be better. A lot of people were compaining about the HD cabs and I do believe they had a point. The cab is a BIG part of any tone so I go for the Helix cabs Not using any cab is also an option, since the Dt already has a real cab but I believe the DT cab/speaker is designed to be used with cab sims. I mean if you get the sound you want without any, then that's great but using cab sims does give you more options to build your tone, especially if you're after a specific sound that uses a specific amp-cab combunation.

It does seem to say so. I checked to find out if it could load 3rd party IR's and it does. If it didn't it wouldn't be a problem. I wonder how they handle this. Maybe it only works with their own IR's ? Nice piece of gear though! Seems really good.

This casi is perfect. Fits like a glove, built like a tank. I think It took about 7-9 days to arrive if I remember correctly. Worth the wait!

I prefer to use no cab on the DT because it's an HD cab and I presume the Helix cabs are better. I use a full amp+cab and it sounds fantastic!

Seem like you expext to get crap from Line6, so why complain when you get what you expect? You've been using Line6 for 15 years without satisfaction. Are you masochistic? Why not find some crap that is more satisfying?

Used my DT25 - helix combination for the first time with a band. Sounded absolutely fantastic! Cuts right through. Compared to the HD500X - DT25 combination it's like a thivk blanket was taken of the amp! I was pretty satisfied at the time but now I know better :)

You could make the backup per IR and put the number before the name. It's some work but you would only have to do it once.

You're right of course. I was at work when I wrote my remark. Once at home I looked and realised I was indeed wrong :)

When using a full amp you already have a cab in there as well so the dt cab is certainly not needed then.

Why is the volume when using Mulit Output much hugher that when using other outputs like 1/4", XLR or digital?

Tried my Helix-DT25 combo today at high volume. Sweet! :) I have the cabs, pre amp and mics all turned off end us Line6 Link. I didn't use any midi cable but probably will add that to the equasion later on to be able to change topolgy and such. I'm actually using full amps instead of per amps. At this time it seems to sound better to me. This might change after more experience. I changed the way I worked with the POD HD500 many times before I found what worked best fore me. What do you use?

Don't you think that selecting No Cab will also turn of the cab to XLR? What cab would the DT then choose to send there?
