Trouble opening/installing Line 6 Updater software on Mac OSX
Line6Pete1 posted a article in HELIX/HX
Problem: After upgrading to their Mac OSX system, some mac users found that some apps can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. A dialog box pops up, click "OK" button and the application will close. Solution: Make sure you have dragged the installer package to /Applications to complete the installation. Our users have found that dragging the package into the Applications folder works best. This package appears after the installer .dmg file is opened. Problem: If you try to open the installer you downloaded, and you are blocked by the Mac System. You may need to disable the Gatekeeper within your system preferences. You may see a prompt like this: Solution: 1. Go to “System Preferences” then “Security & Privacy”. Under the General tab, you will see a message at the bottom, “Line 6 Updater.pkg was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer.” 2. Click on “Open Anyway” and the application will be opened. -
Some users of macOS might receive a system extension error message if they're connecting their device, or starting their computer. What to do if you get this error message on your Mac: The alert may ask you to open Security & Privacy preferences to allow the extension. You may also need to restart your Mac. The alert may ask you to contact the developer for support because the extension needs to be updated or will be incompatible with a future version of macOS. If you continue to get this message, you may need to remove the driver extension with these steps: The alert may ask you to open Security & Privacy preferences to allow the extension. You may also need to restart your Mac. On a Mac with Apple silicon, you may first need to use Startup Security Utility to set the security policy to Reduced Security and select the “Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers” checkbox.

I updated my Mac (iMac) and Mac OSX to Catalina and my KB37 interface stopped working, Tried a UX2 and same result -- flashing clipping (red) lights indicating drivers not loading. Tech support told me it was a security issue but instructions could have been clearer, so posting them here in the hope they will be useful. 1. Install driver package and restart computer. 2. Go to System Preferences and then Security & Privacy 3. Go to the General tab and look for "Some System Software was blocked from loading" 4. Unlock (so type in password) and click on Allow 5 Select Line 6 checkbox I was told that you should not wait to long (less than 15 minutes) after the restart to do the security setting. Hope this helps.

Hello There, I haven't been able to connect my POD XT to my Mac using the USB cable. Tried using Monkey and it doesn't recognize the drivers. They download from the server, and install, but after the computer restarts it's doesn't see the drivers. The screenshot shows the Line 6 Monkey. Tried different USB cables, different versions of drivers and different versions of the monkey software. Please help me out!

Hi Guys, I own a POD XT and have no problems sending MIDI to it to change a parameter or patch as the track plays. However, the POD X3 does not show up in any DAW or Audio MIDI setup as a MIDI device that i can send data to. I can send parameter changes via MIDI using an m-audio MIDI controller but not from the computer which is what i want. All drivers are up to date, using OSX 10.8.4 and like i said everything works fine with the XT. I must be missing something simple? Help please!!! and thanks in advance.
