Hello, I recently purchased a Helix Floor and Helix Native license and am just getting started with using them with my MacBook Pro. Although they are both overkill for my playing/recording needs, I was originally in the market for some high-end effects pedals an Apogee GiO guitar interface, so buying a Helix Floor seemed like a better move so I can take advantage of all of the effects in one portable unit (not to mention all of the other features). The Apogee GiO is an older floor-based guitar USB interface for Mac that has programmable effects stomp buttons along with transport control buttons. It's a plug-n-play device for Macs using Logic Pro X, MainStage, and GarageBand. I ultimately chose the Helix Floor and Helix Native so I could do all of that plus take it with me for use with my Marshall combo amp. I have played around with the Helix Floor and the Helix Native plug-in and I love the common interface and ease-of-use. I have watched several YouTube videos on how to create your own macro buttons so I can use the Helix Floor to Record/Stop/Play, etc.;however, most of what I have seen are running older versions of the software, so the menus are somewhat different. My hope is that someone has built a template that I can use similar to what Apogee offers for their GiO product (they offer pre-built, downloadable templates). I understand how the Helix Native plug-in works with the Apple Pro Audio apps; but I need some help setting my my Helix Floor for basic, home recording use. MacBook Pro running High Sierra (10.13.2 Developer Beta) LogicPro X (10.3.2) MainStage 3 (3.3.2) GarageBand (10.2.0) My needs are very basic as I am just playing around at home. I am running the latest builds of the audio apps and appreciate any advice or feedback you can provide. Thank you so much! David

Hello! Can the Helix Control be used to control Native via USB? I am looking to play through Native housed in MainStage for live performance. If not, is this likely to come in future updates? What other product can do what I'm looking for? Thanks everyone!

Hi, I'm sorry if the question has already been asked, I didn't find it. I'm trying to use my 500x as a MIDI controller for Mainstage. I installed everything I could (driver, license manager, pod edit...) and everything is working on Line 6 devices. My pod is being recognized by the edit software and I can use it. But my Pod doesn't seem to be recoginzed as a midi controller by my OS, only as an audio device. Therefore, nor Mainstage or Logic notice it in the settings. It doesn't appear in the "midi studio setting" too. I've tried to plug it with USB cable and MIDI interface, didn't work. My Mac only has USB C port, so I use a USB adapter. I read somewhere that it could be that, but I'm not sure, since the Edit software is perfectly working through this adapter. I'm on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 Thanks!

Hi all, I am considering buying a Helix for performing live. I am trying to travel light, so I would like to use it as an audio interface. Here is what I hope to achieve. I will be using mainstage. I will have a couple of stereo playback signals, a mono click signal, a mono vocal signal, and a stereo effects signal. I would like all of those signals (8 in total) to be routed to 8 line outs, and from there they will be patched to FOH. My main guitar signal will just come out of the main output of the Helix to the FOH. When I was briefly playing around with my friend’s Helix (to see how it operates as an audio interface in Logic), I could see that I could route whatever I wanted to 8 outputs, but then when I tried to connect (what I thought to be) the physical outputs to a mixer, there was no generated signal. So my question is this - is it possible to have 8 discreet outputs, as well as the main (mono or stereo) output (for what I am doing live on the guitar). Many thanks! David

I was excited to try the Helix Native, as my HD500X switches are starting to fail, so I was hoping I could just go with a software plug in. I can get it to work in MainStage but then it stops working. If I restart it will work again. Then I try to get it configured to work in Logic Pro and so far nothing will allow the source input to show up in the Helix Native interface. I don't think I would spend hundreds of dollars if I can't get the demo to play. It's a shame because when I can get it working it sounds very compelling! My set up; MacBook Pro Mac OS Mojave Logic Pro 10.4.4 MainStage 3.4.2 Universal Audio Thunderbolt Interface

I am using the native propeller together with the mainstage and I am tending the problem that the delay pedals do not synchronize with the gloval time of the mainstage, in the window of the helix native part superio right it is seen that it is synchronized with the tempo gloval but it does not work With that synchronization with the delay pedals. Someone with the same problem ??

So, I'm on a tight budget but am looking for a way of creating a foot controller for my Mac MainStage rig. I've got a Line 6 long floorboard and am wondering whether I could hook it up to a POD, then via midi into the Mac. Then use the lovely pedals and buttons to control MainStage. Anyone got any experience or knowledge on this?
