    Sound On Sound

Oh, ok... thats what I get for skimming and not actually reading. Sorry about that I have my own "organ" sound that I use. It is a patch that has lots of sustained reverb with Leslie cab in the chain. I use the volume pedal to swell in the sound. A split path "like the SOS" would be a good starting point. I'll see if I can upload in the a day or so. Not able too right now.

    Sound On Sound

I'll throw in my version of DG SOS. Of course mine is for the HD500 so you may have to work with it a little. http://line6.com/customtone/tone/222341/ Here is a recording I made with this patch. https://soundcloud.com/dans_music/crazy-diamond Good luck!
  5. I have the HD500 + DT25. I place my RC-3 in the FX Loop of the DT25. When I am using the HD500 only I place the FX Block in the last block in the chain. This means that the RC-3 will get my tone and if I change patches or toggle an FX then the RC-3 will maintain its looped tone. You will have to place the FX Loop on every patch that you expect to use the RC-3. Good luck!
  6. I picked up a TC Electronic Corona I placed in the FX Loop of my DT25. I also use a MXR 10 Band EQ since I really don't like the way the EQ is setup on the HDs. Can't answer about the JTV. Good Luck!
  7. When I hear to popping sounds from the DT25 it is always from the class mode or topology mode changing. If you have the same amp setup on two different patches then you should not hear anything. When using the EDIT program you have to remember that if you change something ( and not save ) then the EDIT will update the HD500 and the HD500 will update the DT25. Hope that helps.
  8. Hello, here is some thing I put up awhile ago that may help. http://line6.com/customtone/tone/222341/ Read the notes as it will explain how it works.
  9. Just a quick comment. AWESOME patch! I have a Jap Strat with the HD500 and DT25 and man does it sound great. Excellent job!
  10. I use this guy: http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Midisport-Uno-MIDI-Interface/dp/B00007JRBM Do not forget to get the latest drivers http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support&tab=driver&PID=4f73c099681cb8ca6b0e91aca5d85b56&serie_ID=4#tabs And to log in to monkey: Good luck!
  11. I had problems with doing the patch to my DT25. I found that if I downloaded the latest driver for the M-audio device, downloaded the firmware file, logged into monkey, it worked. I agree that it's very picky but it does work.
  12. The pop sound is normal when the amp is changing the power section. Yeah it can be a hassle but I don't know of any amps that reconfigure themselves that way. I don't use low power mode much. Since the the firmware update to the HD500 uses the master control it makes the tone much more usable at lower volumes. I have not done a dual amp patch so can't speak for the other issue.
  13. There is more going on with the cabs than you realize. My understanding is that using the pr-amp on the DT25/HD500 setup allows for the DT25 amp to handle the power section (thus the tubes). So, you are not doing anything wrong. It is suggested that you not disable cabs.
  14. I had a tough time getting the update to take myself. When using monkey, make sure you are logged in. I think I had a problem trying to use a downloaded version of the update and not logging in on monkey. Once I logged in the update took.
  15. I did some checking with the DT Edit program. I noticed that the channel switched to B when there is no amp block. I am connected via L6 Link. Yes, whatever amp is set to channel B, voicing I on the DT will become the AMP. I have set mine to NONE. IMO it sounds good with the default blackface double. Thanks for pointing this out. I still think it sounds good. Let me know what you find. EDIT: I tried placing an AMP block in A then an Empty one in B AND muting A. This did not work for me. I find the setting channel B to NONE in DT Edit gives me the best sound. I posted a quick sample. It is in four parts. Part 1: Dry sound, HD500 to the DT25, No Amp block on either the DT25 or the HD500 Part 2: FS2 is on, EQs 3 and 4 in the chain Part 3: FS2, FS3 and FS4 are on. EQs 3 and 4, Chorus, and Delay Part 4: Dry Sound again. Sorry about the volume. https://soundcloud.com/1guitar_guy/test-of-acoustic-patch-dt25
  16. Hello all, I just created a new acoustic patch for my DT25/HD500 setup. I borrowed from the "Wide Acoustic" patch included in the HD500. Made some changes and think it sounds pretty good. Check it out and let me know what you think. http://line6.com/customtone/tone/271639/
  17. Actually I think the AMPLIFi was leaning towards WiFi. Since they are using wireless technology, Bluetooth and using the "cloud" to manage the device.. I still think they should have called it Spider Web. I look at this new amp as being a reinvention of the Spider Jam.
  18. You pretty much said how I feel about this.... well done.
  19. I understand what you are saying here. I was just pointing out that in this day and age a product name should be something that pops to the top when you type in a search engine. How many people would type in Line 6 Amplifi vs Line 6 amplifi -amplifier ? The target audience appears to be younger to early 20s. Which means there may be purchases done by parents and other family who may not be search savvy and maybe less amplifier savvy. Just my thoughts. Heck they could have used the name Line 6 Spider Web. That would have put it in the right placement since I feel it is replacing the spider amps AND would have been unique as well.
  20. I can download from customtone. I do think they have some linking issues, I was forwarded to the home page lin6.com more than once. If you are persistent you can get to the list of tones.
  21. I am going take a stab here and say no you can't create a "patch" on the AmpliFi and then port it over to HD500. One reason is that the algorithms for creating the HD500 effects and amps are of a better design than the X3 which appears what the AmpliFI is using. So there would be many amps and effects on the AmpliFI that would not be available on the HD500.
  22. Oh just thought I would put this out. When searching on Google Line 6 AmpliFi Google auto completes to Amplifier so it can be kinda of hard to get a proper search. Yeah you can override but in this day and age it might have been better to use a word that would not get auto-completed to something so generic.
  23. Here is the review I can't believe the Line 6 rep said hooking up a POD X3. Really?? I think its more of an appliance than an Amp. It looks super lite and I am sure sounds great being stereo. I just can't see this being a gigging amp. I know, its geared towards entry level and the younger crowd. I was hoping that it was something I felt I could use. Guess not. :( I feel like Line 6 took a step back on this. POD X3, FBV Board, What do you guys think?
