All of it. Normally, they use IEMs only, and have for many years. On the current tour, there are no amps (or even his FX rack) on stage at all. He still uses 5 or more amps for his sound, though...

I'll add this thought. I've always been real careful about my naming convention so that I don't need this, ever since the first modeler I ever had that had names instead of numbers (ToneLab SE I believe). So, for instance, I have a patch called A+_Li_Ot_Tc_Schm Just at a glance I know this patch is for my Anderson Atom, the + means it has an acoustic path for the power bridge, Li means it's the Litigator Amp, Ot means it has an Optical Trem, Tc means there's also a Trinity Chorus in there. And Schm means that it has a "schmaltz" channel (which for me is a reverb-only signal that incorporates my external POG2 and Mel9 and sounds like a synth pad, either by itself or underneath it all. Come up with a workflow that makes that possible and it will serve you well.

You want fuzz ALWAYS first. You also want to change the impedance from 1M to whatever the lower value that sounds good with fuzz is when you turn it on and off.
-
Most of the really amazing things you can do with the kind of thing are easily attainable with additional toys. Here's some magic with a POG2 and MEL9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFCbOgKPaHw

Open a ticket. It'll get solved.
-
That's not a known "bug" as far as I can tell. You should call and open a ticket. I'm sure it's solvable. But first... did you do an "all reset" (please back up all your patches and IR first)? Did you try re-installing 2.6? There are a number of things you can try first.
-
I do. Video and details here.
-
Perhaps Helix has indeed become self aware and doesn't want you wasting your time surfing the web when you could be making music...
-
I use them on an acoustic, a hybrid (basically an acoustic), and an electric with PowerBridge. You can create a patch and use them with a regular electric, but since I don't have to do that, I don't. I also use the bass impulses with a fretless bass with a piezo bridge.

did u turn pff phantom at the mixing board?
-
It is still, thankfully, very rare, and even better, I have it on good authority that it is completely solved in the next firmware update. In fact, I know it is solved... for a fact... so, hang in there...
-
I would re-install the update. It might fix everything.
-
Yup, and one of the BEST reasons to use an IR instead of a cab block imho.
-
Actually a 2048 IR, as I recall, takes about the same CPU power as a single Helix Cab.
-
Don't think so... but okay... and no, I'm not getting Helix 2 or whatever. I'm good.
-
I do this ALL the time. Here's an example and there's a link to the patch.
-
you don't want to use Helix as your interface, but you should consider perhaps if you can create an aggregate interface. In other words, both at the same time. On Mac you can usually do it, I don't mess with PC for this. Also, recording with Helix? Consider getting Native. If you have floor or Rack Helix it's only 99 bucks, and now you just record the guitar into the computer and re-amp on the fly. It's life changing.

Google "Morningstar FC6." Add 6 footswitches at a reasonable price.
-
I'd ditch the DS1 and that big pedal board and just use Helix FX with one of the loops if it were me.

I'm on record as saying I like it. I like my StroboStomp2 better, but rarely even get it out anymore when I'm at home. When I'm sitting catty-wompus from my Helix (which is normally the case in my small home space) I just use my StroboClip that I like very much, too. I just don't have the problems with it that many have expressed, and like it just fine. totally disagree that it's better than HD 500 or M13 (both of which I had and used) btw...
-
How many of them have that pesky top line that I think, frankly, causes half of these people's problems? Honestly. Ignore it and it behaves like most tuners (this is easy when you have Rack/Control, just ignore the rack and look at Control...) Also, anybody who is banging on their strings too hard to tune or not hitting them hard enough... and anyone who isn't tuning to the attack... if you're out of tune, no matter what tuner you are using, it ain't the tuner's fault. Almost as bad as setting intonation on a guitar that is lying flat... don't do that either... Oh, and old strings? they don't tune well... but y'all know all that, right???
-
Incorrect, sir. on both points. I'm not saying some people shouldn't use a different tuner. Nothing, for instance, is as awesome for me as my StroboStomp. But many of the issues about tuner "accuracy" and "stability" are simply the nature of the beast of a very accurate and granular tuner.
-
Perhaps it's less granular (+/- 3c or more instead of the 1c in Helix)... in which case it very well may appear more stable.
-
Yup. My strobe tuner that is very accurate jumps around a bit, too, especially with old strings. Accuracy makes for jumpiness, as a note from a guitar is not very stable, especially if you tune to the attack as you should...
-
yeah, the year they made them standard on basically everything I remember them sending out standard tuners for replacement to all the dealers who wanted them just so they could sell them. Ws that 2013? Ugh, those were terrible.
