Love your layout. You should perhaps, however, explore the possibilities of additional EXP pedals to control that Helix.

the best thing might be something that is as much like what you are going to use as mains as you can find.

Wes has publicly shared his right here. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f2qdh9jtcl6s5cv/AACRlEt-UVeLAhuvV4YwMY7Wa?dl=0 I found one of them (HD28 martin through 414) to be my favorite with a PowerBridge.

Also... read this article and stop doing that right away. You are destroying your hearing without even knowing it. http://www.1964ears.com/blog/2014/07/07/the-danger-of-wearing-only-one-in-ear-monitor/

I'm curious about the acoustic IRs. I hunt those down all the time. Have found Wes Hunter's and the Taylors. Both derived from Fishman Aura actually... Have you found others?

Can you EQ the sound JUST in your ears? I know you can on the P16s. IEMS are always going to be a compromise to some degree. Always. Anytime there's not a live speaker, you are compromising something.

I think it should be, but I always use the power switch. superstitious I guess.

I've had it, too. Importing one at a time?

I never run stereo. The only time it would make sense would be in a room where the system is set up so that everyone can get the benefit, not just the 8 guys sitting right at center, and I'm never in one of those rooms. In fact, in the church I work at, our sound system is mono (bad room for stereo) anyway. And a stereo signal can clutter up the mix if there's more than 2 guitars, which means you'll end up getting set lower and lower.

I think I understand the question here. I have a set order for my pedals (which is changing a little now) that I've been using for years on HD 500 that I still use with some adjustment on Helix (allowing for the two extra stomp switches I now have). Always the same in every patch. The Helix won't create this system for you, but you can do it. Whenever I work on a new patch I basically run from one of my others as a template to get going quicker.

Set it up for the mains, so that you have it sounding great for the audience. If it's not perfect for you, that's okay, they're the ones that you are playing for. That's my philosophy. Love your audience.

Using Helix to lead in church direct and it's a fantastic sound. If you can use the amp and want to, that's cool, but I don't want that much stuff.

LOOK SOMETHING SHINY!

You think you do, but you don't. They are messy, cantankerous vicious little beasties... for the record, I love the Leslie 145 in there. Use it a lot.

DI, You do NOT know what you were missing with 8-track reel to reel and Smart FSK (which I had before I had SMPTE). Funny thing is, I think my favorite recordings might have been made with that rig. I had one of these babies...

There will never be spillover on this unit, though, just as there isn't on Axe and there isn't on Kemper. Comparing it to the G system, which doesn't have amp modeling, or the Zoom, which is a whole different class of product, is unfair. But using an amp, especially, it seems to me that with judicious use of footswitches you could set something up within one patch where you have a BUNCH of different tonal possibilities and FX "groups" so that for many uses you simply won't have to switch patches, you can do it all within one patch.

I'm finding Helix so easy to use that I keep losing the manual...

I'm hearing 2 weeks or so.

1. Is it a two-conductor pedal or TRS? the Helix is looking for a 2-conductor. That Mission pedal might just not work, or it might be possible to do some re-wiring or some such. 2. I'm pretty sure this is not possible. The only pedal you can switch is the one on the actual Helix floorboard itself.

You wouldn't want to turn off the mike simulation. On an FRFR, for best results, you want to hear the same signal that's going to the house. Many have a "thru" so that you can do this easily".

Thanks. Actually, I'm into making awesome music. This just happens to be an awesome tool for it.
