Sorry if I inferred something that was not implied. All good here too. I meant what I said about posting back if you find a solution. Too many posters don't bother to share.

Doesn't matter that you've reloaded the FW and SW. Ever think that there might actually be a difference in the way mine is configured? Maybe a change I made so long ago I don't even remember doing it? That's why I asked for screenshots. Of course, if the only solution you're willing to accept is that you have a defective unit, Good Luck! Now that I've been dismissed, I just hope that IF Support resolves the issue, even if it turns out to be good old-fashioned OE, that you'll be considerate enough to post the solution here, and not just disappear as many others do once their personal problem is solved. How about you, cfhmonkey? Still working on it?

Part of what we bought was free updates. Not updates for those who can afford them. Free updates. Until Helix EOL. Go over to TGP and set up a poll. Paid updates will lose every time. Blues Lawyers can have a Helix or two, a couple of Fractals and the whole Kemper eco-system. Not to mention a room full of Boutique tube amps and every pedal known to man. They don't need special treatment at everyone else's expense.

Most major guitar companies these days have a "Custom Shop". I'd bet that if L6 hired a couple of programmers to work on "special projects" for individuals and charged them real world programming rates, those programmers would have LOTS of time to help out on the regular (FREE) updates for the rest of us! :-)

It can't be "definitely a problem with L6 Link", because that's what I use, and there's no such problem. There definitely could be something wrong with your configuration, or the way your presets are done, and that there's two of you with the same problem is suspicious, but other than the two of you, I've never heard of this before, and this is NOT the only Helix forum that I frequent. Maybe (as I suggested several posts ago) you could post one of your presets? Take some screenshots from HX Edit's Powercab screen AND Powercab Edit? I'm not saying it's your imagination, but I can't duplicate it. It's an interesting problem, and I'd like to get to the bottom of it as much as you.
-
EZ PZ! Just shut off Cubase first! I'd try to duplicate your problem with another DAW, but in addition to being pointless, would that cause you to give up Cubase? It's pretty safe to say that all adults know, if you cross the street without looking, you might get hit by a car. Looking first is one of the life skills we learn that allows us to BECOME adults! Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but really.....

So, you griped about a half-a$$sed shifter 10 years ago, now you want another, why? So 10 years from now you can gripe about this one? No, we don't need another one that works "reasonably well". We want the BEST that today's tech can give us!
-
Again, specifics are important. If both of the pedals in the loop are MIDI, use MIDI to turn them ON/OFF. Put the Harmony pedal on the same path as the guitar/amp and pan that path left. Put the synth on a separate path and pan that path right.
-
Depends on the SPECIFICS of your goal. Put it on a separate path? Turn the Loop Block ON. Save the snapshot. Go to another Snapshot. Turn the Loop Block OFF. Save Snapshot. Done.

Some people can't understand why a product like Helix doesn't have a polyphonic coffee maker. GO FOR IT!
-
Wrong. If they're going to do it at all, it should be BETTER than the 20 year old shifter. Better to ignore the "Half-a$$ed is good enough" crowd. BETTER should be the minimum requirement.

Helix doesn't do sysex, so not sure what you're referring to. It does do MMC. I tried to DL the Octopus manual, but the website's DL link doesn't seem to be working. FWIW, I've never been able to get MMC to work with LIVE or any other DAW. They have their own Start/Stop MIDI commands based on CCs. If you have the Octopus manual, look for configuration settings that allow incoming commands. Also check to see that it's on the same MIDI Channel as Helix.

Windows updates frequently screw with the Helix drivers. Reinstall HX Edit. That reinstalls the drivers and usually cures this problem.

All the Ext Amp switch does is complete a circuit within the 50 cal. You can test it using a common multimeter on the jack you're plugging into the Mesa. If you have continuity with the switch ON and none when OFF, the switch is good. At that point, IF GOOD THEN contact Mesa Support. IF BAD THEN contact L6 Support.

Helps if you say what kind of computer, OS, etc.

You say "slight" db boost. Is this something that you've measured? If you're just going by your ears, our ears play all sorts of tricks on us.
-
OK, I THINK I hear the noise you're talking about, I had to turn up the volume to hear it. I don't hear it as a volume spike though. It's hard to describe. The only thing I can think to compare it to is the sound you hear when you change the delay time on a delay while playing. It happens either on Helix or on a real delay pedal. I don't think it's a SW issue, more the sound of the HF driver dis-engaging. IOW, an electrical noise. It would be worth recording it for support so they have something to kick upstairs to the engineering guys.

You should check out the Digital and Modeling forum on The Gear Page. It's where the Line6 guys hang out (NOT here!), including DigitalIgloo, who's talked about this many times. There's a nearly 4000 page Helix thread, and a 58 page Helix 3.0 thread, as well as threads for HX Stomp, HXFX, PODGO and a couple of Powercab threads. It's also been spoken about at length on this forum. Just search for "polyphonic"

Coming in v3.0. Soon. We're ALL waiting with bated breath....

As TB413 said about the balanced signal, but you CAN get a stereo signal from the 1/4" outputs by connecting an Insert cable (dual 1/4" MONO to single 1/4" Stereo) to the Line Input and setting the switch on the side of the PM351 to STEREO. In Global Settings>Ins/Outs set the 1/4" Outs to LINE. You MIGHT be able to use the Headphone Out, but the signal might not be high enough. I'd try it both ways to see which worked best.

In Command Center you can assign "Keyboard Shortcuts" to trigger playback/record and other program functions over USB.

v3.0 will have a"Favorites" function. You can find out more about it in the Helix 3.0 thread of the Digital and Modeling forum on The Gear Page.
-
Can't imagine what it could be, but must be something in the PC+ configuration. Hopefully support can sort it out for you, cause it's certainly not normal!

"Panning" refers to the position of a signal in a stereo field. Blending is the opposite. If you'll be running a stereo signal (ending in separate right and left speakers) you would use panning. If you want MORE of one signal than the other in the final mix (mono OR stereo) then use the Level controls, either at the cab/IR block, or at the mixer.
