  1. cualquier ranura marcada " nuevo tono " debe estar vacío de nada
  2. I would skip the POD when going from PA to headphones. But that is just me and my situation. I use headphones (regular dollar store headphones, nothing special) at places like my home. And I have a wireless set of headphones that I can use anytime. On stage, I mostly use the floor monitors. But when I am required to use IEMs, they are provided for me. Which is why I say 'based on my situation'. If needed, I can have it split, me coming out of the right and everything out of the left. It goes straight from the board to my ears. No coming back to anything. No reason to input it back to the pod. Would skipping the Pod work for you?
  3. They are now owned by Yamaha. There ARE big corporate now.
  4. these are not an amplifier.
  5. 1. http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/ 2. Customtone has over 6000 files you can download. Check to see what you like, and then check what they used. 3. I suggest you make sure you have all of the update software.
  6. it wouldn't be the physical pedal because he said it works when assigned to volume
  7. don't keep us in suspense. What was wrong with it
  8. Fixing what some people think is wrong with the current eq options is one thing. Not enough DSP or blocks is a separate issue all together. This is a separate eq. A global eq, that is to be used for "room correction". It is not meant to be part of patch design. You are correct though. Calling it the eq block would make sense if it was available per patch. And there is already an eq block. But the new one is not per patch, its global.... Much how the Master Volume is global. Regardless of how you have your volume/mixer set within a patch, the master volume (could also be called, global volume) controls the overall volume of the unit. The global eq (master tone controls) are the overall tonality.
  9. BINGO Although, I am going to take it one step further by saying: I don't think I am going to download the update for awhile. I don't need a global eq for room correction. I plug straight into the PA. That is the sound man's job to make it sound pretty in a room. Then its not really global, now is it? They are kind of the same thing. You are designing your patches partly based on the environment you are in when you are designing them. When you change environments, your sound changes. The perfectly designed patch sounds like garbage. So, one could say that the final tone shaping tool IS room correction. There are already numerous eq's that you can use in each patch. A global eq is not based per patch. It is global. It affects ALL patches. It even engaged when using a "blank patch". IT IS GLOBAL
  10. LOL@GARAGE BAND Even days later, and in a quote instead of the original post... its still funny
  11. You didn't ask for examples of our work that fulfills our tastes based on our playing styles. You asked " How can I determine the right combination?" BUT NOW THAT WE KNOW YOU WANT EXAMPLES. MAYBE PEOPLE WILL POST SOME FOR YOU.
  12. There's always something new coming. It doesn't mean that the HD series will be discontinued. It just means that the new versions will come out. But do you really think it will be released this soon? Its only been a year since the 500x has come out.
  13. Right, none of use will know until its released. But what is the point of having an independent global setting if a preset can overrule it. As far as we can tell from what we've been told... what was said above tells the tale: Set your patch eq's the way you want them to sound, and then use the global eq when you change rooms and need to adjust the overall tonality.
  14. GLOBAL it means that its a setting that blankets everything. Regardless of what is set in a patch, a global setting will also be in play. If you want eq on individual patches, put an eq in your patch. A global eq won't even make a difference for me, because I plug straight into the PA. The sound man does eq-ing, not me.
  15. trial and error. That's how you find what is good for you.
  16. I don't suggest anyone do anything to void a warranty. Plus, I thought they fixed this on the X. This can be exasperated by being on a soft floor, like carpet, or when on a desktop being moved by hand instead of foot. But there are some units that have a hard time engaging the pedal because the rubber stopper underneath is too big. It prevents an ugly metal on metal clang. But it can also prevent being able to push down enough to engage. What people have done in the past --- once they determine that this is the problem --- is the shave off a little bit of the rubber. This allows the pedal to go down enough to press the button.
  17. Each time you hook up Pod and EDIT, it does an entire sync. So, yes, it would be 20 minutes each time you hook up, plus 15 seconds for every change your make.
  18. 100% feel your pain. Luckily, for me, the 'rock' music that requires feedback is still using floor monitors... stand on them, make poses, be cool. I would love to see what people have to say for a solution.
  19. Travel cases are a separate issue, because some people's travelling needs are different. A 'gig bag' tossed in your back seat is fine for some people. Others, not so much. But as far as gigging goes... Again, depending on your setup... I don't see it being that hard to have a custom made board/box. Then you can have all of accessories - expression pedals, wireless, power strips. etc - put exactly where you need them to be. Get on stage, open it up, and everything you need is just where you need it to be. Just hook up to the main power and main sound, and you are ready to go. Places like Lowe's, or even Wal-Mart, make access to supplies a snap.
  20. The amount of noise on my L6 does not (to me) replicate reality. Its loud, obnoxious, uncontrollable, and entirely overpowering. It is my only complaint about my unit.
  21. OK, that is basic computing knowledge. I understand that part. But from a user standpoint... What is the benefit of opening a file with EDIT? Currently, when I want to put a file into EDIT, I open EDIT. I drag-and-drop a file or I use the menu in EDIT named FILE and choose OPEN. What happens if you set your associations and just click a file?
  22. I don't think "they won't". I just think that it is too cost inhibited to produce their own wireless transmitter for the express purpose of hooking up outdated products for the 75 people that would want one, when the next generation could just as easily have it built in. So, yes, give up on wireless connectivity. You don't want it due to speed limitations, and you aren't going to get it anyhow. But, now that they are working with Apple and Google devices for some products, I am still holding on for an android app equivalent of "EDIT" for my Pod HD500. Once they make it for one, adaptation for others is easy.
  23. as with your other post, and previous replies... modeling is an effect. it is turned off by default. when you create a patch - do not add an amp. when using an already made patch, turn the amp off if there is one. there is no 'global' setting for amps, ALTHOUGH... I may be wrong because I am no expert on this (someone with more knowledge, correct me if wrong, and explain further details if I am correct), but I believe that the converter program can change the amps of patches. So in theory, you could change it no 'no amp' and change all of your patches in bulk.
