Got to use 2 cabs in parallel paths. All irs/cabs in Helix are mono i think.

I would like to see a global reverb amount. A percent of whats in the patch. A range from 0 - 200%. My old Boss GT5 has it. Great for certain venues that need less reverb and the rare dead rooms that need more overall. Much easier than going through every patch and adjusting reverb. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Global-Reverb-Percentage-amount/799771-23508

Helix FW 1.04.1 (and Helix App 1.02) Now Available
Joepeggio replied to Digital_Igloo's topic in Helix
No backup required. Some factory presets may change thou. They improve them sometimes with the update. Why not 1.04.3? -
I own a Fishman too. I tried it with Reaper. All i got was a silent ir. There are so many options when creating it I'm not sure what parameters to pick. ie 44.1 48 etc 16 bit 24 bit?

Very cool for the Helix. Not so cool for your desk.

To add to my possible reason.... make sure there foot pedal is at max (full toe down). I don't doubt you probably already tried that but sometimes I overlook the simplest things when I'm frustrated with something. and when the vol drops, try a few sweeps of the foot pedal (volume pedal).

I've noticed it sometimes too. For me it was the volume pedal postion. Helix defaults to pedal volume position at the time the patch was saved. If you save a patch with the pedal position (if acting as a volume) at 100%, when recalled the volume will be at 100%. The moment the pedal is bumped or a fly lands on it, the volume will then follow the pedal. I believe the later software updates allows this behavior to change, keeping volume at the current pedal position, even when a patch is changed. I am not sure where that is, Global settings I presume.

Global settings? Instrument vs line? Also volume knob? My guess is the sends are pre volume knob.

I agree. the clean amps too . like the divided.

I have a G50. I can't tell the difference between aux in or guitar in. Maybe because the G50 output impedance is somewhere around 1k. Aux in around 10k. 1/10 ratio should allow full signal. Now a passive guitar plugged into aux is a no-no, unless you like the effect of overloading the pups. No wrong answers. Sounding good to you is all that matters.

Patch Change Speed | External Wah Placement | Analog Pedals
Joepeggio replied to PapaTongue's topic in Helix
Without ir or cab sim there should be quite a bit of DSP available. Check out the templates. You can run 3 seperate guitar routes and one vocal. Some day i hope "scene" mode will be integrated into the helix. It would make what your trying to do much easier. -
Patch Change Speed | External Wah Placement | Analog Pedals
Joepeggio replied to PapaTongue's topic in Helix
Papa, how complex are your tones? Is a single path enough for each? You can have heavy tone on path 1 and clean on path 2. Then use a gain block at front of each and assign a foot switch to toggle between paths. All trails should ring out and change should be instant, though i haven't tried it yet. The theory is in one preset, all effects in both paths are running whether on or off. switching paths only sets which one is heard. -
@phil_m Great playing! Great tone!!! Links to CustomTone? or which presets used?

I have a Moog expression. It does exactly the same thing. I slide the switch underneath to "other" and it works. The sweep is off a little and it tops out at 94% it is usable though. Especially for wah. I believe different manufacturers use different pot values. And some may wire like a guitar sweeping to ground or just a variable resistor not sure what is best for helix. It's the same with a trs cable or a ts cable. I am not sure what the helix wants to see.

I submitted a ticket with a video. My FS4 was erratic. They started a "call ticket". They ups overnighted the unit to Calabasas and overnighted a new one back. I sent it on friday got new one Thursday. The new one physically feels much "tighter" (better). The clicks on the joystick knib are stiffer causing less accidental turning. :) But being out of USA, there may be a different procedure.

49% is flat. My guess is set heal down to -1, toe down to +1. 50% would be on tune. Any percent up or down would be 2 cents closer to the note at full 0 or 100%

Wish you all the best ovet there in Paris. Its a beautiful city. I had a button issue. I video'd it and started a support ticket and attached video. Line 6 was quick to solve the issue. Very very very impressive customer service, but I am in the US.....

A micro pitch shift would be cool. I have a pedal with 2 pitch shift voices. I can set amount up or down and level of each independently. Kind of like a chorus but thicker with no cycling.

I second the nomination for a "freeze" effect.

The send/return block is where your input (from send on helix) and loop out (to return on helix) of your amp goes. The block becomes the preamp section of your favorite tube amp.

That does sound good. I'll give it another try with the latest firmware.
