  1. After the update I reloaded all my patches as a single bundle and my snapshots were fine. OP I am sorry this happened to you. I hope you can get it sorted out.
  2. Glad you're enjoying the Helix. I actually will happily spend endless hours tweaking sounds on the Helix, but you're right... great sounds can be created quickly.
  3. I have been trying various presets from the cloud using the "tone Search" function. About every 3rd or 4th preset I load into the Firehawk, I lose sound, and have to turn the amp off and on to get it working again. This happens regardless if I am plugged into the FVB 3 or not. So somethings not right. Anyone else experience this issue?
  4. I always use mono for the reasons stated above.
  5. I have tried 3 emulators so far. It looks like the issue is Bluetooth. My windows laptop is connected to the FH via Bluetooth, but it seems there is no BT support for the Android Emulators I have found. Any ideas?

  7. I want to update my FH1500 (current version 1.0.0). I turned on the amp (brand new... I have not registered it yet as I may exchange it... the cabinet corner is crushed), connected it via USB to my Windows 10 laptop, and launched Line 6 Updater (v 1.10). The Updater prompts me to sign in, then tells me to "Select Device to Update", but there are no products listed. Do I need to register the FH1500 before I can update or is there something else going on? EDIT -- I just checked USB connectivity on my laptop, it says there is a "driver error" for Firehawk 1500. I was able to install the driver and the FH is currently updating. Pulled the trigger too soon on this thread.
  8. I just used the 20% coupon from GC to buy the 1500 and the floorboard. If it's too noisy I'll send it back. Wish me luck!
  9. Pier...thanks for this info. Is the hiss you describe loud enough to be bothersome at higher volumes, like a band rehearsal?
  10. If the Firehawk stops working, I can still go FOH with Helix and make due with the houses floor monitor mix.
  11. I need 2 things... 1) an FRFR 2) A backup to the Helix Should I just get the Firehawk 1500 and the footswitch ($1300 street price) and be done with it? This should solve both problems. Anyone think of a reason not to do it?
  12. ^^ thanks for the advice. I should just be patient and wait for a 500 or 500x to come up on CL for a good price. I could really kick myself for selling the POD.
  13. I used to have an HD500X, but foolishly sold it after I bought the Helix. A few months later and I am getting more gigs. I figured I needed a backup in case the Helix stopped working for whatever reason. The next foolish thing I did was buy a Zoom G3X as a backup. I can't even get mediocre sounds out of this unit... there is no definition to the medium to high gain sounds. Even as a backup this unit is a no go. I need something that.. 1) is light and portable 2) will sound good going direct to FOH and my floor monitor 3) I can program a solo boost into. 4) Can get comparable tones to my old HD500X My local Guitar Center has a used X3 Live listed in "good" condition for $199. I like that it is at GC so there is a 30 day return policy. What are your guys thoughts?

  15. Can the SpaceStation keep up with a loud drummer in a small rehearsal room?
  16. I would just use your studio monitors with the Helix. No way i would go into the front of an amp except as a last resort.
  17. I have Sony mdr-rf985r wireless headphones. They sound "good enough" to me. I use them for practice. If you have a hankerin for awesome tone, they are probably not for you. I will say they don't sound bad. Just not great.
  18. The stock cabs have a buzzy (I can't really think of another word to use) quality in comparison to most 3rd party IRs I have tried. The Fremen, OH and 3 Sigma are all smoother. When I say buzzy, I do not mean that in a negative way... I prefer the stock cabs to IRs in some instances.
  19. Thanks, man! These are nice. I used them into the Archon like you said,.. sounds great. After some turkey I will try into the Mesa.
  20. I like 3 Sigma IRs. Not an overwhelming assortment and they sound great. IMO they would be a bargain at twice the price.
  21. Les Paul--->Mesa EQ with some of the highs reduced-->Archon head-->3 Sigma Diezel 2b IR is perfect!
