Hef's fix works 100% for me as well.
-
^^^ How the heck did you figure that out?!? Thanks will try right away.

Mark... all of my Glenn Delaune Helix Boutique patches work fine post update.

Which Facebook group? Chris Beaver? Chad? Something else? I am on Facebook but I use the same alias I use here, mostly for the purposes of the band I am in... and stalking.

2.10 Floor Upon reboot, EXP1/EXP2 is visible above the expression pedal. After changing to another snapshot, only EXP1 remains. EXP 2 no longer is visible, nor can I access it by pressing the toe switch on the exp pedal.
-
Yup... me too. I reported it in the Helix Bug Report thread.

I am trying to adjust the levels on the output block, and assign different levels for each snapshot. I was able to do it on a patch last week without a hitch, but I tried again last night and whatever level I select for a given snapshot, that level gets assigned to ALL snapshots. WTH?? Did I inadvertently change a setting? BTW, not sure if it matters, but this is for Glen D's boutique amp pack. What am I doing wrong?

Agreed. Everyone's opinions are just that. There is a market for patches, and people who provide them.

Help me cull my collection of Fremen Clean Presets
Rocco_Crocco replied to d0stenning's topic in Helix
Spend 10 minutes.... go through each one for 30 seconds... rate each 1 to 5 stars. Go with your gut.... don't agonize. You either hate it, meh, or love it. Keep the 4 and 5 star presets and save the rest to your computer. -
JTV-59 hunting; factory refurbished maybe?
Rocco_Crocco replied to gstew's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I bought a factory refurbished 89f from ebap. It looked like a return... there were slight pick scratches on the finish. Otherwise it is an awesome guitar. Of course with eBay you can return the guitar if there is a problem. -
Problem with guitar
Rocco_Crocco replied to tjbrosch71's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Sorry I don't know. You may want to start a new thread in the appropriate forum, you'll get better answers. -
Agreed. Those guys are great. Should be mandatory viewing for beginner Helix owners who are uninitiated to the world of pedals.

Or everyone just got fired and they need replacements. :P

My Helix Cuts Through the Mix -- All About EQ -- Here's My Settings
Rocco_Crocco replied to Rocco_Crocco's topic in Helix
At home I play through my Presonus Audiobox USB into 5" JBL LSR305 reference monitors. Sometimes when I want to get loud I plug into my Alto TS112A powered speaker. At rehearsal I play through the band's PA, but monitor myself through a Tech 21 Power Engine 60 that I leave at the rehearsal space. At gigs I go through FOH but put my Alto on the floor in front of my to monitor myself. In all instances the Helix with these settings sounds great. We play classic rock from CCR all the way to heavy Metallica tunes. -
My Helix Cuts Through the Mix -- All About EQ -- Here's My Settings
Rocco_Crocco replied to Rocco_Crocco's topic in Helix
Yup... I use 9-42 gauge strings. Most of my guitars have duncan JBs or similar medium/high output PUs. -
I have seen some threads and comments by members saying that they are having issues cutting through a live mix. I use the following (none of these settings are mine... I got them from other members here.... apologies if I can't remember names). I can easily be heard at rehearsal and gigs without being too loud. Also it prevents "stealing" of frequencies from the kick drum, cymbals or bass player. I use BOTH global EQ AND Low/High cuts on IRs/speaker blocks. Using both had made all the difference. Global EQ Low Gain -- 0 Mid Gain -- 0 High Gain -- 0 Low Cut -- 90Hz High Cut -- 6K Speaker block/IR settings Low Cut -- 70Hz High Cut -- 7.2K I am not an expert. On paper, I realize it may seem odd to have my cuts at different frequencies between the Global EQ and the speaker blocks, but to my ears these settings work very well. For my band I use a combination of my own presets, Fremen patches and Glenn's patches, and I adjusted all the IRs and speaker blocks to these settings and it has made a world of difference in being heard over a mix of loud drums, bass vox and another guitar player (also a Helix user). YMMV.

Are you using the snaphot feature? Each snapshot from left to right increases the gain... far left is either clean or mild crunch and it goes up from there.

He renamed it because it isn't a speaker IR... Its a different animal. You sound deeply offended by this. Why?
