  1. I too did notice a quick glimpse of what appeared to be a flanged long upper edge of a pedal board or possibly the Helix Floor. I did not notice any writing on the unit.
  2. @sjordan33 my Takamine EF341SC and Takamine P3CD, sound great with my Helix Floor. Each is fitted with Takamine's CT-4B II Preamp system; not the Cool Tube 3 Preamp. My guess is that you should easily attain the tone you are trying to achieve w/o problems.
  3. @onager450 Yes. Grab a Stomp and you're likely to be delighted. With Helix Edit, and Helix Native (if you have it) you'll enjoy great flexibility and interoperability of your Presets of 6 or fewer Blocks on a Single Signal Path.
  4. Depending on your space and budget the IK Loud Micro monitors have gotten great response from many users. I do not own a pair myself, yet I have been considering adding a set. My small monitors are a pair of JBL LSR305s (which work great for near field use) and a pair of JBL LSR308s which also do a great job. Both are very reasonably priced. YMMV.
  5. @godfather_77 Good questions! I have brand new sets of matching Fender 2btn, 4btn and Fender Exp-I Expression Pedals for use with my Fender Mustang v.2 IV and v2 III amps. .I have not used the switches and expression pedals much with the Mustang Amps. Subsequently I got a Helix Floor, and the Mustang Amps became my Helix's powered speakers, so the 2btn and 4btn fender footswitch units and EXP -1 got not use. Still a bit curious if any of them will work as is with the Helix Floor. Now I also have an HX Stomp, and the question remains if either the 2 or 4 btn fsw units or the exp pedal would work as is? Or if they would need to be rewired.
  6. A DI box may be the best solution. Nonetheless, another possible solution could be an in Line Phantom Power Eliminator. Sescom and Triton Audio make them. These are small, inexpensive and allow you to use XLR cables with confidence that any input strip of the console which may still have Phantom Power enabled will not degrade the audio coming from your Helix. B&H Video's page and probably Amazon show the unit's details. Pyle also offers a PHE400 Box, which you can find on Amazon and B&H.
  7. Disconnecting your HX Stomp from your Laptop so that you would only be using the HX Stomp directly with your instrument. If the interference is no longer present, it would point to the Laptop, it's USB port, USB configuration, or USB cable as possible causes. Try another USB cable, then another USB port on your laptop (if it has multiple, the one closest to the power jack is recommended). Do not use a USB hub. If you can, try swapping out the cable. Try another Laptop if possible. It is also possible it could be the USB port on the HX Stomp.
  8. @JimRad One of the fabrication sites shows: 17% Infill and, > 0.2mm Layer Thickness fabrication parameters. Are these specs in your file? If so, that makes things straightforward. What material did you use? PAL? ABS? Other?
  9. @JimRadWow! Jim these are awesome!! I don't have a 3D Printer, but thanks for posting this. Any chance I can send you a few dollars to have you send me a couple in Black? I have 2 DXR10 that these would work great with. PM me if you're so inclined. Otherwise, I'll try and see about getting them printed locally.
  10. Hahaha. I've got a pair of of Yamaha DXR10 and they certainly kick! Simply amazing as floor wedge monitors with my Helix or as backline.
  11. The JBL LSR305 and LSR308 are outstanding and very reasonably priced! I have a set of each. For near field use, the LSR305 are great. If you've got the space, get the LSR308. Also bear in mind that as these are rear ported, placement close to a rear wall is not ideal.
  12. @luckymojo so long as what you will be exporting from Helix Native to HX Stomp is comprised of Six (6) or fewer Blocks (excluding the Input and Output blocks), and will be on one signal path on the HX Stomp, you will be fine! Jason Sadites, has an excellent YouTube video series with many informative vids. One I recently viewed, (but cannot locate the link for at this moment) is on the topic of exporting Presets from Helix Native to HX Stomp.
  13. Get a Helix Floor (or Rack)! When Helix Native goes on sale again for 30% Discount grab it for $69.99! Helix Native has already been on sale several times and most likely will be again in the not too distant future. The combination of Helix Hardware w/ HX Edit and Helix Native delivers full creative, editing and transfer capabilities of your Presets between the hardware and software. So, regardless whether your creativity strikes during practice, rehearsal, performance or recording, you'll have the tools to work your magic. You've already been using the Helix Native Demo and you're familiar with Line 6 gear. In the unlikely event you don't like the Helix Hardware, many Helix vendors have a satisfaction return guarantee period of several weeks. And, should you opt to keep the Helix, you'll be able to sell your older Line 6 gear at your convenience.
  14. The THR10C in stereo at near field with the HX Stomp connected via the THR10C's AuxIn sounds outstanding! I have each and used them together plenty of times. Always brings a smile to my face. I also frequently run my HX Stomp w/ Headphones, or with a pair of JBL LSR305 or LSR308 if not with a pair of larger DXR10 Yamaha FRFR monitors or Fender Amps. For near field monitoring at low SPLs the THR10C's convenience (and that it can run on batteries for practice on its own), makes it a fantastic all in one unit for me. I've never tried the 8" FRFR Alto nor QSC nor Yamaha's 8" units. I really enjoy the THR10C's near field stereo imaging, and patching in backing tracks or playing along to YouTube vids is a blast. YMMV.
  15. Of course, if you go with a pair of powered 5" (or larger) Studio Monitors (of your choice), you'll have greater positioning flexibility, better bottom end, and higher capable SPLs. Nonetheless, for really close near field use, I've enjoyed using my THR10C with my Helix Floor and with my HX Stomp. I also have JBL LSR305 and LSR308 (either with JBL LSR10S). The THR10C certainly is impressive at near field low SPLs to the LSR305. When I use the THR10C with my Helix gear, I prefer to use its Stereo AuxIn, allowing all the Amp, Cab, and FX choices to be provided by the Helix gear. YMMV.
  16. Great small base insert! Thanks for posting the dimensions.
  17. The backpack fully loaded with the Helix and gear in the outer pockets stands vertically just fine! There are four generous rubber feet at the bottom and hand grips on the top and sides. Removing the Helix from the backpack alters the weight distribution and the pack may or may not stand vertically depending on how much gear you have in the outer pockets.
  18. Always use decent quality cables and you should have no problems. If your cables have degraded and have become microphonic, scrap 'em. Tip: connect the cable to your guitar and amp. Flap the cable against the floor. If a percussive clap sound is heard as the cable is flapped against the floor, toss that cable.
  19. New Global setting option as of 2.80. The 2.80 RELEASE NOTES state: Turn Joystick to Select Blocks Helix Floor, Helix Rack, Helix LT Currently, turning the joystick encoder scrolls through available models for the selected block. With 2.80, you can now choose to instead turn the joystick to quickly move across the signal flow. From the Global Settings > Preferences menu, turn Knob 5 (Joystick Encoder) to choose “Model” or “Selection.” “Model” remains the default. SHORTCUT: Pressing and turning the joystick will provide the opposite setting; that is, when set to “Model”, press and turn the joystick to quickly move across the signal qow. When set to “Selection,” press and turn the joystick to scroll through available models for the selected block.
  20. Installation of 2.81 to Stomp (2.80 had already been installed) went smooth as silk, and took less than 5 mins including Backup and Restore of Presets. Next, on to the Helix Floor...
  21. I feel your frustration. Encountering yet undiscovered or newly caused bugs is always a potential with any update release. If your Presets and Setlists were backed up before updating, restoring an earlier firmware build and the pre-existing Presets is a quick and simple task.
  22. You ever see: "Total Recall"? ... the same line: "Two weeks..." ;)
  23. Also consider SouthCreekAudio.com's cables. I have been using their Patch, Adapter, Mic, Guitar Cables for several years. All have been outstanding w/o a flaw in any one of them and that across a couple of dozen I bought for my own use and as gifts. Very clean, flexible, exceptionally well constructed, inexpensive, and include a velcro strap.
  24. I've had the original G10 since shortly after it was released. I did have the USB charging jack problem, and Line 6 replaced the entire unit for me without hesitation. Since then I have had no issues. No dropouts and this is within a fairly active WiFi bubble at my place. As for my guitars, I've had no issues with any of my electrics nor my Takamine acoustics. Both Takamines have active electronics which work wonderfully with the G10. I am currently about to pull the trigger on a new G10S. This will give me a backup G10T transmitter module as well as the G10 Receiver base which due to it's internal dual diversity antenna design increases the receiver's sensitivity thereby effectively increasing the effective operational range. The G10S's receiver base also provides a convenient channel selection knob making it a cinch to go to another channel if the auto channel selection method selects a channel which subsequently encounters interference.
  25. @rd2rk, Thanks for digging those out! You should enjoy your Stomp. And, the forthcoming 2.8 fw release will bring more features and enhancements.
