  1. All you need is a set of Powered Studio Monitors to run at home. Something akin to the JBL LSR305 would be more than adequate at near field use with your PC running Helix Edit to procide PC control of your Helix LT hardware. The Studio Monitors would be best connected directly to your Helix LT. However, they could alternatively be connected to your PC. Should you needs expand and you opt to run a DAW on your PC, your Helix LT would serve as your PC's Audio Interface. You could then opt to try Helix Native which runs as a plugin within the DAW of your choice. Helix Native is available as a 15 Day Trial. Should you wish to get a licensed copy, you would be entitled to the Helix LT owner's reduced price. Bear in mind that when LIne 6 runs a sale on Helix Native, which they have done twice already, it was offered at an additional 30% lower price. Helix Native is not required to accomplish your goal of running your Helix LT at home with your computer under the control of Helix Edit.
  2. My reply posts to the parallel topic TGP thread: (Note: my TGP display is set to the Dark Theme) This is why I love using my Helix Floor with the THR10C's AuxIn in Stereo! Some food for thought.... Take a look at Signal Path Block Diagram on Page 8 of the THR10 User Guide PDF. Notice that Guitar DI signal 1/2 and Guitar Signal Stereo (Post Amp FX) are available via the USB output. I do not know what the HX FX's USB supports. You could explore routing the THR10's Guitar USB Out to your computer. Then feed those to the HX FX's USB. This may provide the Yamaha's Selected Amp and Tone Stack to the HX FX.
  3. Yup! The Helix Backpack is also very well designed in that when loaded with lots of gear, it is perfectly balanced and stands vertically on the large four bottom rubber pads. And, it comes with a bunch of very handy long x 1" wide Velcro straps that come in really handy for bundling cables which stay put as they secure to the inner lining of the large lower storage pouch.
  4. Also see: Ben Vesco's Helix DSP Allocations. At last glance, Ben's info was up to date as of firmware version 2.50.
  5. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Helix Backpack! It is durable, rugged, and has plenty of storage capacity. A quick Google search for Helix Controller Dimensions returned several hits indicating it is: 17.2" x 9.4" x 2.5". There have got to be a wide variety of padded bags from Gator, Boss, Novation, Amazon, and many others in suitable sizes designed for mixers, controllers, pedal boards, are a variety of gear that you could choose from. Just be sure that you get something at your price point with sufficient padding and a few storage pockets.
  6. @TonyHay, give Richie Castellano's YouTube video of how he runs his Helix Floor with IEMs. https://youtu.be/XIWlCNhA96E
  7. Ditto here with two Yamaha DXR10 FRFR Monitors.
  8. Frank Rithcotte, Sr. Director of Operations, Line 6 Inc. replied to the post on TGP that it does cover both!
  9. To get wider exposure for your question, I posted it to The Gear Forums' Helix Thread. Check TGP for your answer, if no reply gets posted here.

    Helix Vs Native

{Emphasis added to your quote} The Answer is, in a word: Identical!
  11. @MAG2005Helix's two DSP chips are dedicated, one each, to Path 1 (A & B) and Path 2 (A & B). Path 1 and Path 2 are each capable of using their Path B, but only if extended via reassigning the output Block, or, by inserting a Split Block to Split the Path. I did not open your Presets file, so the only preset signal path image I viewed was what bsd512 posted in his reply. In your posts, where you are referring Path A and Path B, my impression is that you are actually referring to Path's 1A and Path 2A?
  12. @antshay1, here's another method to bear in mind.... Should analog feeds of your Playback tracks suffice, bring them to your helix via a 1/8" TRS (Stereo) to dual 1/4" TS L&R adapter cable. These are readily available in various lengths, not costly, and will work with any source device with a headphone jack! See: UGREEN 1/8" TRS (Stereo) to dual 1/4" TS adapter cable or HOSA 1/8" TRS (Stereo) to dual 1/4" TS adapter cable as well as others. Redefine Helix's Input Block to FX Return 1/2, or, insert a Stereo FX 1/2 Return Block in your Helix Signal Path of choice. Then assign Helix's Expression Pedal as the Controller of the Block's Level Parameter. If you use the latter method, the signal block may be positioned before or after any Helix FX Blocks (i.e. Reverb, Delay) as you may wish to include or prevent those FX from affecting the playback tracks.
  13. If you have not already done so, consider re-downloading and reinstalling fw 2.60. After confirming that it has been properly installed, do a Factory Reset. Then reinstall your custom presets and do the PowerOn + FS10 + FS11 to assure that all the Presets are upgraded to the current fw.
  14. In this case you would likely want to configure Helix's Global Settings I/O for the Main Volume knob to control only the XLR Out. This would allow you to control your stage monitor's XLR feed via Helix's Main Volume Knob. Helix's 1/4" L/Mono Out could then be used to feed a DI (depending on the features of the DI you use) with the DI's XLR Out then feeding the mixer. Helix's Main Volume Knob would have no control over Helix's 1/4" Out. Nonetheless, Helix's Global I/Os configuration would allow you to select either Line or Instrument level for Helix Main 1/4" Output.
  15. @deathstroke27, Which Helix Edit version are you running?
  16. I have the Helix Floor. The ability to use two of the Helix Floor's Four FX Returns to accept Left and Right analog audio input from a variety of playback devices, other than via USB is a convenient advantage. All that's needed is an adapter cable. Male 1/8" TRS stereo (i.e. mini headphone plug) to Left and Right 1/4" TS plugs. Costs about $4 and works great! The Helix Floor's dedicated Headphone Volume Knob is also convenient, and there are still two FX Loops remaining on the Floor if needed. Additionally, if you opt to get Helix Native, the price is $99 for Floor owners, and can be as low as $69 when Line 6 runs their 30% off sale. For LT owners the price is $299 (less 30% when on sale).
  17. Voted this up long ago. Good to see it gaining more attention. The more votes the better. Looking forward to this in future firmware.
  18. At the value price of the Headrush FRFR seriously consider getting two! This would allow you to orient them in a variety of ways, as backline or as wedge monitors, and regardless if on the floor (vertically or horizontally), raised on kick back amp stands, or on poles, and providing far more spread and coverage as you may desire. I run two Yamaha DXR10s for the enveloping sound field, although they are also capable of thunderous SPLs. DunedinDragon's comment is spot on:
  19. Helix's Tuner feature when activated is a quick way to mute the signal output (in default configuration). If you are using the Helix Floor or Rack's Mic XLR Input on it's own signal path, the Tuner button may not mute the Mic Input's dedicated signal path. Never tried it. It's worth giving it a quick try.
  20. You may also use the Helix's Stereo headphone output jack with the appropriate adapter cable to go from the TRS 1/4" (Stereo) to L & R RCA plugs as your receiver requires. Alternatively, you may also use Helix's FX Output Jacks (L&R) with TS 1/4" cables to RCA, however, you will need to insert a Stereo FX Block in your signal path to route the signal output (or redifine one of Helix's Output Blocks). If you use other than the Helix's headphones output, you may define the Output and FX Block levels as Line vs Instrument via Helix's Global Settings Options.
  21. Get back in touch with Line 6 Tech Support and they'll step you through the process.
  22. The Line 6 Summer Sizzling Sale is on right now through the end of the month of July. 30% Off on Helix Native and all Software Packs. The details are on the Line6 site. If you have not yet bought Helix Native, now is a great time as the price will be even lower.
  23. @ckeibler85 I really do like the LSR308s. I've used them quite a bit and have not found anything to dislike. The LSR308 are not small. I do also have the LSR305s which serve wonderfully at near field. I also have the JBL Sub that I have used with both sets. For monitoring and general use the LSR series are very impressive. I have not encountered any rattling, vibration, nor other sonic oddities with any of them. I do not use them at thunderous SPLs, and both sets are at near field (no more than a few feet). As previously posted, for higher SPLs and at slightly greater distance of no less than about 8-10 feet, I use a pair of Yamaha DXR10 FRFR PA Monitors (either as wedges, standing vertically, or tilted back on amp stands, or on poles. For an Amp In The Room chest throbbing pant leg flapping experience I use my Fender 2x12 open back Mustang IV v.2 via the Mustang's L&R FX Returns.
  24. Think, Play, and Monitor in Stereo. Run Mono for most Live Gigs/Personal Appearances. Helix handles the heavy lifting, as each of the L/Mono (XLR and 1/4") Main outputs independently Sum to Mono (when the R output jack is not used)! Do not run Stereo FX Blocks before Amp/Cab Blocks, unless tracking (or otherwise specifically needed).
