  1. And then there's Boogies running parallel loops!
  2. My 4CM patches are set to instrument level and they were very carefully matched to the amp. Just set it so with everything bypassed on the Helix there's no difference in level whether there's anything plugged in to the amp loop or not.
  3. All I can hear is intermodulation between the hum picked up by my Strat and all that gain. It doesn't happen with humbuckers.
  4. I don't have a Stomp either but they imported into HX Edit and the ones I played through my Floor played fine so the problem must be at jeanmarielaperle's end. The good thing is that you're presets aren't lost.
  5. I imported your setlist into HXEdit 3.01 no problem and the presets appear to be all there.
  6. You could also try turning up the Predelay if it's available in the reverb that you're using.
  7. But I'm English :-) But you're right, it was a cheap shot!
  8. Yes our government had some similarly strange examples of exponential curves recently too :-)
  9. Oh I see too now, you can still assign a footswitch to the B polarity in the Merge block but it sounds to me like the problem is more fundamental. Do you get a similar effect if you plug both pickups into a mixing desk?
  10. Says the man with nearly 9000 :-)
  11. Sound advice that will eliminate 99% of the problems found on these forums. BTW HX Edit 3.01 will inform that updates to itself and firmware are available but won't let you update firmware until it has updated itself so eliminating the "where's my new toys?" posts So please can everyone get on HX Edit 3.01 before the new firmware drops whenever that may be. Line6 Updater should only be used as a last resort.
  12. On of the TV announcers the other day was out of phase in left and right, it was very striking!
  13. Then I don't understand how you get two pickups in different paths?
  14. If you're using separate paths for two inputs you can still create a split path for one, put the IR on the B path, turn A level right down in the merge block (or a gain block) and assign a footswitch to the B polarity. IRs.hlx
  15. It samples at 48k by default and i'm pretty certain that whatever you're hearing isn't aliasing noise. Post a clip so we can tell what it really is.
  16. I'm away from my Helix at the moment but I think you can reverse phase in the merge block after your split.
  17. Oh I just had a thought, if you're using Send/ Return blocks is Dry Thru set to -120dB or if FX Loop is Mix set to 100%? A friend fell foul of this at the weekend with phasing issues on a loop pedal.
  18. Just as a test with your pedals in the loop, set your input impedance to a lower value. Many people say that overdrives don't sound good without the correct pickup loading and this should prove/eliminate that effect.
  19. It's not really that complicated is it? Make sure HX Edit is up to date (automated in V3.01) Perform a backup (automated in HX Edit) Update your Helix device (handled by HX edit) Reset your Helix device Restore your backup. Job done.
  20. It can't, it probably wasn't synced correctly. It's also an old thread, I'm sure you'll be ok.
  21. You're correct about that situation a while back but the process is a lot better now. Do as PerS says and you should be ok, I would have thought that HX Edit would tell you if you needed an interim firmware.
  22. So someone mentioned that 3.1 is coming and we're already get wound up about it :-) At least if everyone has already updated to HX Edit 3.01 then the other issue should not present itself any more!
  23. I think a version II would be the more likely but I still don't see it happening and just changing the existing models would upset anyone already using them.
  24. Well they do make them quite visible during the process, it's not like you have to find a readme.txt file buried in an archive.
